    BIG FAN of painted trailers over powder coating. Props to these guys for keeping all the expensive certifications and facilities to keep doing it. They're one of the only ones at this point.

    Also in the rust belt, powder coat comes off in sheets when it starts rusting.

    Great video Stan...Hey how do Americans feel about Canadian manufactured products? I'm an owner of a Canadian manufacturing business. Just curious cuz you here buy American made from Americans. Well technically we are all North American. Cheers!

      I see Canada's manufacturing sector as a sister sector to America's, we both work for eachother and both make quality products, at my job we make stuff that goes up north, the north makes stuff that comes back across the boarder to us, we keep eachother moving and running

    There right about the robots, my work put in robots, it didn't lay off people, we need more people to help keep up because production is up possibly more then 100% as in we were always in crunch time a few years ago at half of our orders to now we have orders ahead of the trucks picking them up for days, along with that, robots don't replace a welder job, they just make it faster, we still fab, tack, and clean, and weld all the parts the robot can't get to, plus I still weld parts the robots can't physically do or its just as fast for a person to do the job, also as you finish the product you need a certified welder to look at all the welds as well, robots can't see, they are just programed to go, me and my coworkers need to be there to see what the welds are like and make sure there up to code and if not fix them as me move, I was scared of robots when they first came in but as they came in I never lost any position at my job, I just go it faster

    I love your videos, but the part about old school is wrong. I understand that the robots increase productivity but they do take jobs. For example. IF the robot can weld 1 trailer in 10 minutes and it takes 10 guys to perform the same task, then you hire 10 people you will still need the same number of people to keep up with them just like the robot. I do understand the problem with skilled labor and being able to find 10 qualified welders. But to say old school thinking is wrong is wrong It does take jobs.

  • @DocEnnik
    @DocEnnik 8 місяців тому

    That is definitely not true about taking job because it does take jobs. I ran a robot for many years the first robot end up taking the job at 7 welders. Yes they hired more assemblers. But of course that's almost like a 5 to 12 dollar decrease in pay so if they got a robot they make more money obviously but they get rid of workers that they have to pay more to that way they can hire workers that they can pay less for

  • @jonzimmerman427
    @jonzimmerman427 8 місяців тому

    machines dont take jobs is so misleading. Of course they do. Sure they make your company more efficient. But for every machine you have...thats 1 or more human jobs that are forever gone. At least be honest

    • @robertvannicolo4435
      @robertvannicolo4435 8 місяців тому

      I agree totally with your comment where they have to hire ten with automated would have to have 2 to 5 on top of that done manually

    • @Comm0ut
      @Comm0ut 8 місяців тому +4

      If your company is not competitive there are NO jobs. OTOH when a robot feeds high volumes of parts to SKILLED workers by displacing UNSKILLED workers that skilled and much more valuable worker base thrives.

    • @jasonsailer8954
      @jasonsailer8954 8 місяців тому +1

      @@Comm0ut yes so true, robot does the grunt work and more people are hired to keep up with everything down stream.
