@@debbieacushing5536 I know a sick animal when I see one. Too weak to eat, too dehydrated to drink properly etc. he was about 2 days from fainting and never waking up, but the last f.. thing he needs is a "family". A family will ruin his instinct and mentally handicap for life.. thus why the owner of the camping ground told them to find a good forest and leave him, not a burned out trunk in a desolate landscape without treating him for dehydration and lung damage. Professional help for animals is about treating physical damage and fucking off from the human race, which includes me and you 🥲

Someone's got way too much time on their hands, me thinks. Precious time that could be spent helping the aforementioned humans, perhaps 😉

You know, back in the day adults would say to kids that animals don't feel pain / emotion so they wouldn't be upset when the animals went to be slaughtered to feed the family, now we're living in such a surreal time that so-called "scientists" have convinced the masses that animals don't suffer. What a world we live in.. If you want to talk REAL science though, most animals, just like us, produce opioids in their body to combat serious and especially long-lasting pain, even such simple creatures such as earthworms produce these opioids, so yes even an earthworm feels pain & has enough of a mental capability to suffer! Animals also self-medicate by consuming many different plants, from opioid-containing ones to psychadelic mushrooms.

Animal transport crates/boxes may seem cruel, but at the end of the day driving a car is dangerous enough without a wild animal freaking out in an enclosed space and potentially causing a car crash that would likely cause its own death, the death/injury of the car diver/occupants and anyone the car happened hit too in the crash.
If you are going to do something as risky as bringing a completely wild animal into a car you have to be considerate of the other people on the road as well as other occupants of the car.
Even a domesticated animal that has not been mistreated or abandoned can still go a bit nuts inside a car and cause a crash.
What's the point in being free range organic nice when the animal ends up dead anyway because you failed to have the sense to be safe?
What do you tell the families of the people your car killed or mutilated in the crash?
"Oh yeah, I was thinking of playing it safe and keeping him restrained while we were driving on a public road - but then I saw his sweet little face and I just thought f**k it, you only live once!"
      😑
Unless you are extremely well versed with an animal and/or you have a barrier to protect the driver you should not do this - it's dangerous for you, it's dangerous for your passengers, and it's dangerous for the animal too.

@@raymondbabb1970 some people call them that! It's common enough even if it's inaccurate. In German it's the same, actually (the German couple here doesn't do it though).

Poor little sweetheart. Thank you for helping him. He must be feeling so sad and traumatized. He lost his home, his family and everyone around him. We must remember that animals have feelings too and that's why it's so important to treat them nicely and show them love and kindness. I really hope that he's ok and was released in a place where he can interact with other koalas.

I am convinced that warm-blooded animals have, potentially at least, the same feelings and sentiments as us. Of course, being non-verbal in particular, they do not express or manage their feelings the way we do, but a hungry, confused, lonely, and sad koala feels exactly the same way as a hungry, confused, lonely, and sad person. It's just that a koala cannot call a few friends and order a takeaway...

I can’t even imagine someone could just leave him alone without taking care, it’s so obvious the sad bear was traumatized and needed some comforting, some company after the loss of his whole family. It simply wanted to be in company and feel some connection to some caring individuals. Who knows how long it’s been wandering alone. So thankful they took care.

The Koala looks more relieved in the car than under the tree for some reason…
I hope he lives well in the wild~

The trees maybe traumatic because they burned and he was alone at the tree
In the car he felt safe and removed from the trauma plus he wasn't alone. He had the two humans as companions.

What treasures you two are - and you will indeed remember the event and him forever. He looked so content in the back seat of your car with his Eucalyptus leaves. And not alone - it broke my heart to see him at the base of the tree trunk with his face down towards the trunk, sad and alone. I am sure you saved his life - thank you.

He or she must have been through a LOT to let itself be patted like that. Very lucky they were there. Koalas don't live in family groups, except mother and baby, but they do have colonies. It must have been exhausted to be so calm in that situation. Good on them for helping ❤

They also only climb trees to find food, so if it wasn't in a eucalyptus tree area it wouldn't have survived. Plus the trauma it must have experienced. Thousands died in those bush fires, it broke my heart.
