Shortly saying: I had an impression that Moscow Commie blocks for example are much better taken care of, but if we take any other city in Russia with the same population as Sarajevo or even bigger - Sarajevo would win without even trying. The only real problem is the facades has to be done, but otherwise in case of parking, new playgrounds, quality roads - it would win almost every Russian city with ~0.5 million people I have been too. It also could be cleaner though, especially with the cigarrete ends, but in Russian cities (not Moscow) we've got similar problems. Also the underground parkings is one thing which is futuristic and unimaginable for the Soviet hoods.. I still wonder though if the Yugoslav buildings have the problems with last floor roof leaking liket the Soviet ones?

If you are on the top of the building, you might have a problems, yeah.

Again a very interesting video Sergey! Those commie blocks are a bit similar to the ones they once built in the eastern part of my country. Those who have no been taken down since the end of “socialism” have been thoroughly renovated over the last years with new windows, new facades, they attached balconies to those who didn’t have them before and most importantly the flats inside have been totally remodernized with modern infrastructure. Who else would want to live in them if they had not been modernised? However, some of them are still neglected, waiting to be torn down, mostly in remote areas where they are not needed anyway. But some of them are renovated to accommodate migrants as there are so many over the last years. Watched some videos about that recently on UA-cam.
Well, looks like Sarajevo is on its way but it may still take some time to get to Central European standards but its good to see they seem to be on their way. …

@Cairol58 Most Yugoslav buildings dont need to be demolish ,most apartments are spacious and with good isolation ,they are on awerage bigger then in new buildings ,they just need new paint outside and inside and to get off rid off ugly graffiti everywhere .THey are also very fire proof ,there is no single instance as i know that some Yugoslav building was totaly burned ,if someone ascinatedly start fire in apartment it stays in that apparment only and dont spread to rest off building.
But unfortunately because off corruption we dont get even that new paint anywhere ,maybe 1 in 1000 got new paint

You have to do an indoor tour of the yugoslav era apartments.
Also, go to "Ciglane". It's a big apartment complex from the late 80s where an old bricks works used to be from Austro-Hungarian times.

The strange shaped building looks like a building we have where flour, wheat, corn , rice , things like that were stored , trucks just drive up under the stack, fill up and drive away. 🙋🏼‍♀️

  • @sabkobds
    @sabkobds Місяць тому +3

It's not Z, it's Ž (Cyrilic Ж) and stands for FK Željezničar (Жељезничар). You were in the part that's its foothold. Btw, Bosnian Latin specific (and all ex-Yu) letters are (with Cyrillic version inside brackets):
    Č (Ч),
Ć (Ћ - softer version of Č, but really like TY together),
DŽ (Џ, same as Russian ДЖ)
Đ (Ђ - softer version of DŽ - sometimes written as DJ),
LJ (Љ - like LY - I think it's same as Russian Ль)
NJ (Њ - like NY - similar: Нь)
    Š (Ш) and
    Ž (Ж)
Also, we use J in both scripts (Latin and Cyrillic) for what's in Russian Й (like Y in English).

During the time of Yugoslavia, when there was a national holiday such as Republic Day or May 1st, three flags were displayed: the Yugoslav national flag, the republican flag (there were six of them, one of which was Bosnia and Herzegovina), and the flag of the Communist Party, which was the only political option at that time.

The "mac, mac" part is perfect, BUT it's what you say after it that confuses the cats. "Ks ks ks" sort of sounds like "pis pis pis" that you say when you want the cat to go away. Next time, say mac mac, but instead of saying "ks ks ks", do 4 quick kisses. Like you're kissing someone/something 4 times the fastest you can. Small difference to human ears, but huge to Bosnian cats. 🐈

Yugoslavia never was communist because only Russia was communist and Yugoslavia fight to never be under Rusia control, socijal system big different than community system but because in communist that’s not correct. because social system was thinking about people, but Russian communist system only think about weapons army nuclear weapon and that big difference between Yugoslavia and Russia.
