- This material was taken from around 8 years ago, I had hair then and a little more weight!
I aimed to capture some of the stages of painting one of my seascapes, this one being of a wave in the North Sea crossing over from Shetland back to mainland Scotland.
You can see this and many other paintings in my website:

This one in particular can be found in the acrylic painting section.
The music is from "25 yard screamer" whom I am proud to say are friends of mine. Many thanks!

Не дышит ваше море, не движется, лежит как ткань неподвижно.
Hi Vernon, your paintings are nothing short of amazing. Acrylics are something of a mystery to me as I use oils, but I'd like to ask - when you use acrylics (for seascapes) do you ever use a mop or blender brush to soften any hard edges? I'm asking because the edges of your lighter tones seem to bend effortlessly into the darks.
Hi.Thankyou for your compliment, and your question. I use around 5 tones in general when creating the sea in oils and acrylics, sometimes 6. I keep the tones very close to one another, that way the transition isnt a shock :) Also due to the transparent nature of acrylics, this adds to the blend being subtle.
Does this answer your question? I hope so, if not, I will try again.
Cheers!
@@vernonwjones perfect answer, and thank you for the fast response.
@@StevenMarkPaintings No problem at all. Take care.
do you have other recent seascapes?
Hi. I am in the process of getting some ready and will be posting them soon. In the past I didn't dedicate too much time to videos, but now I am in the mood and want to learn more to get them better. Going to take time, but that's my aim.
Love the video, but the music is too loud❤
