  • This is a TAS of Vectorman for the Sega Genesis that I have been working on for a while. It beats the previous TAS record by about 35 seconds, through a few new strategies, movement optimization and lag reduction.
Tool Assisted - these games are played using a emulator at super slow speeds and save states. The goal is to provide entertainment by showing off game glitches and beating the game as fast as possible.

Yay Vectorman! This game was in my top favorites list when I was little. This and number 2!

@cruzman3608 No, they change the purpose of a speedrun from seeing who could beat a game the fastest to seeing how a game could theoretically be beaten the fastest if taking out the limitations of human reflexes and speed.
They try to achieve different things, go about doing it in different ways, play by a different set of rules, showcase different skills and they should never be compared to one another in a measure of who is more skilled.
They don't defeat the purpose of anything.

One thing I must ask, why didn't you take the warps? Wouldn't they beat the game faster? Or is it because you'll get the Cheater Ending?

@Cpadolf0 Don't care about how it could be theoretically be beaten. I want to see how fast it could be beaten by playing like everyone else did when they were a kid.

How did you beat Day 7 'Rock n' Roller' so quickly?

Then watch a regular speedrun of the game I guess? It's not hard to find.
