Thanks for watching, everyone! I never thought my skincare videos can reach past 1K views?! If you're interested in watching some more, I have a playlist of my reviews here: ua-cam.com/play/PLqxgNmlrwT7RlJ-LuMJKx95cxTs1AV4jR.html
Thank you so so much! I agree, their new calming line is awesome. They're such a trustworthy brand with gentle ingredients that are meant for various skin types. I hope this video helped 🥰
하하하하하하하 안니요 🤣 Thank you 💐 I loved your video, too! You had an even more in-depth understanding of the cleanser!! I was surprised you found the moisture cream to be thicker. Mine was more on the watery side for me. Your video was awesome!!! 🐻
I, for one, am so glad that the cream doesn't have niacinamide - my skin, and many others, dont react well with it in products. With how many products have niacinamide in it these days, it's not hard to find something different to get your niacinamide needs quenched. On the opposite side, I almost find it more difficult finding products that don't have niacinamide in it.
You’re certainly not the first to say that. Fair enough! I do prefer Niacinamide inclusion because the percentages are often lower and more suitable for my skin than separate serums’ concentrated formulation. Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I will purchase them. And actually about the barrier cream, im so happy there's no Niacinamide in it. There are a lot of people around me allergic to it!
Really? That's interesting! I've only heard good things about Niacinamide, but I suppose there's always exceptions to individual reactions to ingredients. Thanks for letting me know! Glad you liked the video.
@@rayliur No problem, haha! Its a cell communicating ingredient which penetrates deep. so lots of people get immune responses from it, as other people really appreciate the deep generating aspect :)
I agree! Plus it's easy to just use a serum/essence with Niacinamide in it to get your fix. The cream has quite an extensive list of amazing ingredients!
Thank you for reviewing this whole line - I just started using PY for most of my skincare, all from the original line except for a few things from the ATO line because I have really sensitive skin, and also the cleanser from this "calming" line. I don't think the calming line makes much sense to me still. The ATO line seems like a more calming line in terms of ingredients and the classic line, as you said, has fewer ingredients which is better. So far I just found the foaming cleanser from the calming line to be really drying, and I don't have dry skin at all. And there's already an Acne line, so I can't really figure out what the calming line is for - it makes so much sense how you explained it's about marketing to a population who might discover PY this way, using different packaging and ingredients from the traditional lines. Have you tried the ATO line products? Would be fun to see a review of those - PY should send them to you!
Thank you for this comment! I really appreciate it. I have tried a few products from their ATO line, and they’re very gentle. I’d love to review that line some day :) The Calming line is also their most affordable range right now, which is great to get college students or anyone with a low budget to start a skincare routine. Love their toner and moisturizer.
@@rayliur I *just now* had a chance to try the Calming toner, serum, and moisture barrier cream - and wow. These are fantastic and at a lower price. Even though the face wash isn't for my skin, I'm going to pick these up in full sizes now.
I ordered the foam cleanser, and have used it for a while now. I really, really like it! Thank you again for your thorough reviews, and for answering questions in the comments. I also bought the cream (as mentioned in a different comment): It is a nice cream, but after some days of use it broke me out in my T-zone (it may be that I used a bit too much product, my skin is weird that way). It is a wonderful cream for my cheeks, tho - so not only will I keep using it for my cheeks, I will likely also buy it again. The foam cleanser will be on my bathroom shelf for as long as the keep making it!
Yay for the cleanser! Sorry to hear that the cream broke you out. It’s strange, because usually lightweight watery creams shouldn’t do that. But I suppose that’s why there are so many products-we all experience something different with each product ☺️ Thanks for sharing! Really appreciate your presence on this channel!
I like that the barrier cream doesn't have niacinamide, that's the reason I'm considering purchasing it 😁 I use vitamin c in the mornings so I need moisturisers without niacinamide
Hi new to your channel :) thank you for the in depth review. I have sensitive skin (I get atopic dermatitis flare outs) and my skin doesn't react good to Niacinamide so im actually happy and grateful Niacinamide is not added to the Calming cream!! I order their products every 2 weeks because the Calming line is the only products that do not irritate my skin further then it already is
sorry to hear that your skin isn't compatible with Niacinamide. but ofc, there are plenty of other ingredients that can make up for what Niac can do :) I also love the calming line, but I don't find them hydrating enough during the colder seasons.
First time viewer, I have the sheet mask on right now. I feels very nice, kind of cool on the skin but that could be the cool air coming in tonight! **the face mask was very nice. I just took it off and patted the serum in and added my evening moisturizer. Skin feels calm and hydrated. :)
I loved your review. I purchased this line except for the cream because I damaged my barrier, and it was on sale. Compared to American brands it has less chemical I ingredients. Regarding niacinamide im glad it’s not in there. I wanted to get away from some of the heavier “treatment” type ingredients and try and keep it simple. I’m going to apply the face wash toner and serum tomorrow morning and sheet mask tomorrow night. I’ll let you guys know how I feel about it.😅
That could be true. But I believe the percentage of AHA is quite low, and if you have a treatment product in your routine, having Niacinamide in a moisturizer (which would most likely be in a lower percentage) wouldn’t affect the skin to cause breakouts. Especially since AHA is an exfoliant that removed dead skin buildup, which is a key factor in causing acne.
I have very dry and dehydrated skin, for me personally the signature essence toner didn't go well with my skin. I used it till the end, but it always felt uncomfortable on my skin, and broke me out, and I didn't find it as soothing and hydrating as the deep moisture toner that dived deeper into the skin.
I ordered the PY Moisture cream this weekend, thanks to your videos. I also have oily skin, so it seems like a good fit. I was contemplating getting the cleansing foam, but didn't order it this time. Seems like I will later. Does it leave a "film" on your face? I cannot stand cleansers that leave me washing my face one or two more times, just to get the residue off .
Hi, great review! How is their original cleansing foam? Does it cleanse out sebaceous filaments from pores? Which cleanser do you recommend from this brand? Thanks in advance!
I have! Shortly after this review went up, I tried their serum too. I like it, but there are so many other serums just like the Calming Serum, that I forgot about it.
Does this line helps for acne prone? I always breakout on the same spot and have the acne scars on it. I also have lots of black heads and white heads which made me breakout on the same spot. Does this brand (especially the calming cream and serum) will help for acne prone? Or do u have any recommendations for acne prone skin?
I’ve not tried the serum yet but between this line and Some By Mi’s acne line (30 Day Miracle), I would choose Some By Mi. This cleanser is great though, from PKY.
Hi hi 🙋🏻♂️ The PKY calming line are EWG safe, but there’s no confirmation that they’re vegan. The sheet mask and cream contain Cetearyl alcohol, and according to some studies, “Not only is it considered safe and nontoxic for use on the skin and hair, but it's also not drying or irritating like other types of alcohol. Due to its chemical structure, cetearyl alcohol is even permitted by the FDA as an ingredient in products labeled ‘alcohol-free’” (healthline.com). Cetearyl alcohol here acts as an emollient and is not stripping on the skin. Hope this helps!

I'm glad the calming moisture barrier cream doesn't contain niacinamide because niacinamide breaks me out, cystic acne 💁🏻♂️
fair enough, haha. a few of you had mentioned this; i'm learning a lot!
same...ive recently discovered i cant deal with niainamide so this cream has been godsend, since they stick niacinamide in everything nowadays.
It depends on the person's skin also actually. I mean the skincare as we know a try n error process.
