Amazing that some electrical tape fixed this. So many other videos show hot glue or epoxy to seal that air bladder. Its almost worth doing in advance as a maintenance item to prevent the failure of the device in the first place which is much easier to do as a planned task rather than an emergency fix
Thank you for your video on Mercedes S Class (W220) trunk opening/closing issue. Please if there is a chance to make a video about fixing the whole center lock system, and what are the main issues to make it idle for all doors in the same w220 model. Keep the great work 👍. Thanks

Another great video from my favorite intelligent mechanic ..... !
Since this is a pre-facelift car, it doesn't have the retractable handle. They added it with the facelift (except on cars with the power closing trunk).

Thank you!
Great video. Very good explanations. Thank you 🙏
I have a S320 CDI and the same issues with the trunk.
Thanks for yet another informative video!
Thanks for watching!
a good one from empty.
I have the same problem and already solved it. I just glued it all together
wow it really worked for me, thank you
Great!
What about the collapsible trunk handle over the license plate ? It is driven by vacuum and is not working on your car

thank you wisw person
That part is the exact opposite of the overbuilt cooling fan, shroud, and motor on the w220!
Yeah... This feels like it should be a service item the way it's designed. Fine for years but definitely has an expiration date.
clam it together and put epoxy quick setting from harbor freight tool and keep it to dry about 2 hours
I think that would work too!
