I locked my key in the trunk as I was having pse problems, so in my haste I closed the truck - it jammed stuck and there was nothing I could do. This simple procedure (except for the flat nut!) saved the day. I can't thank you enough!! 😊
Thank you thank you thank you brother. I am a man and blessed to say that i opened my "boot" as we call it in NZ, because of this video. I used the F word several times.😂
You are very welcome Shalwa Sirknockum! I'm glad this video could help you out. You didn't shed a tear? You're a strong woman lol! Many peace and blessings to you sister!
Looks like your mechanical key wasn’t cut. I had to order one from the dealership a couple weeks ago . Just got to bring your registration and a drivers license and it cost a little over a 100 dollars . Great video bro thank you for taking the time to help all of us W220 enthusiasts out .
Thanks for this, super helpful! I currently have the situation where my pump is failing and blowing fuses... I am planning on replacing it but it is so damn cold outside I kinda wanna wait a bit. This makes me concerned if it fails completely, how can I get in the trunk as my key doesnt work. At least now I know there is a way to get to the pump if the car locks me out :D
Thank you for the kind words Proximax9. The cold is the worst and I don't blame you for waiting it out. Hopefully it warms up soon where you're at. Best of luck to you! 🙌
Very good, Thanks to you I open my 2000 S430 TRUNK. But , now I like to know WHY ? what's wrong?, how can I prevent it ? what part have to be replaced ???? any way, Thanks for you good video.....
Hello Lushan Silva! Thank you for the kind words! Sure! I can definitely make a video about it. The MP808 does have some limitations but for the price and what it can do, I think it's a great investment. :)
@@bappilu When it comes to the silver lid handle the MP808 didn't have too many features to calibrate or "normalize" the silver lid handle. Aside from that, it DOES have a lot of features for calibrating the trunk, and the PSE pump. There is even a feature that allows you to copy over the previous settings from the old pump to the new one. The MP808 isn't perfect, but I think for the money it is worth it.
Hello Allen Jones, I'm not too familiar with the W221 in regards to the PSE location. Try asking someone over at www.mbworld.org. I hope this helps. Cheers!
On the front of the back seat there's a flap that opens to get at the fuses. You don't have to take the seat out and take things all apart to get at the fuse box.
Hello gerald patton, I'm not sure. If your key fob or button does not open your trunk, It could be your PSE. Try removing and reinstalling the 20amp fuse that's located under your rear seat on the passenger side behind the foot light. I hope this helps
@@GarageDynamics ok thanks I will try that, because I just bought a scanner and reset the rear Samsung code so it will release to open by remote and button but not open up on its own I have to open it by hand and close it too.
How are you. On my s500 front drivers side won’t go down it stays up. I disconnect the air from it but it still stays up. Do you think that is bad air struts
In the description, you mentioned go from Super glue, Jb weld and epoxy but in the video, you said super glue, expoxy and jb weld. so which one is the correct order? Thank you!
Hello Andrew D, my apologies for the confusion. I started with super glue (Gel). Looking back on it now, I don't think super glue is that important. After super glue (be sure to let it dry), use JB Weld. Make sure to use a proper mixture, and to mix it for a long time. About a minute. After you have applied JB Weld to all the cracks let it cure for 24 hours. Then go over all the spots with epoxy and let it cure for 24 hours. Then you're good to go. I hope this helps. Cheers!
@@andrewd8253 Anytime brother! I know the trunk thing is a stressful situation haha! I do miss that CA weather, but being in Georgia for a while now, I gotta say, it's a good state lol!
@@GarageDynamics For sure it is, lol. I could not open the gas tank cap so I put my MB in garage for now and waiting for the parts. I wish I know about the air leaking at the latch before the PSE pump burned out. lol. Georgia is a great place to live in, I have few friends there and they both love it. You have a great weekend brother. Don't forget to teach us more about w220. I love w220 more than w221 😂
@@andrewd8253 Aww man that's a bummer... Well, looking on the bright side, at least you're saving gas lol! Tell me about it... Hello GatorM, Yes, if your PSE pump is working properly. You would just press the button either down by the driver side door, or under then trunk lights.
