Why would Joe/Will start doing the exact same things again? Because he's an addict. His addiction is to winning over women and feeling wanted. The episode already hinted that his mother had higher priorities than raising her son if she's leaving him at the boardwalk to go about some other business. He's following a pattern because it's proven successful in getting what he wants. It's a form of control. Life feels manageable for him when he can know every single thing about a person. He spies on their socials. He telescopes out their property and activities. He "bumps" into them at every opportunity. These women aren't potential mates to him. They're mysteries to be dissected and understood until he feels that there is nothing left to uncover and their loyalty is complete. The same way that serial killers must eventually seek out new victims, Joe has to seek out new conquests. He feels incomplete and unstable without that element of control. Incidentally, his secondary pattern is to find a child without proper supervision and teach them a code. It's like he's passing on his knowledge to an unknowing protégé.
I absolutely prefer season 2 to season 1. The characters are way more interesting than in the first season - even Joe when we get to find out more about him and how he became who he is.
I think in second season this show embraces itself being ridiculous and it can be fun to watch if you don't take it too seriously. There's a lot more jokes sprinkled in too. And also omg I love your doggy. It's soo cuteee
It's not illegal to record someone in public in a lot of states, especially midwestern ones(where you guys are), but in California it's very illegal to record someone without consent they have a two-party law which means both participants have to know about the recording before it can be legally started Cali actually has some of the strictest recording laws
Pretty sure the “two-party consent” law only applies to audio recording of conversations and stuff like that. I think video is fine as long as it’s in a public space with no reasonable expectation of privacy where pretty much anyone could see you anyway. And Joe was just walking down a sidewalk so I think Ellie, or whatever her name is, is fine. I could be wrong though because these laws are kinda confusing. Might’ve misunderstood something
So many reactors I've seen can't figure out who the guy in the cage is, it's so funny. As soon as he said "Will", I was like "Oh shit, he's stolen this guys identity!". Maybe it's not obvious and I just happened to figure it out right away, I don't know. 😂
Right common sense it was easy to put two and two together. Marketa actually thought it was love's husband tf lol. With dumb theories like dat ain't no way they will see that twist coming

The show is satire. Black comedy. Joe is a horrible person, then surrounded by ridiculous or annoying or even worse people. It’s all to make you start to like him/root for him in some capacity, but it’s for humor and social commentary.
