So the way the black guys power works is he absorbs damage/fire power and reflects it. He had his group jump him so he could absorb their powerand use it

So something that CJ didnt have time to explain about the Charon fight is that his job is to find, kidnap, then safeguard a group of 8 people called Pillars. Shinra is one of the Pillars so Charon always hold back when he fights Shinra so he doesnt accidentally kill him.

A fishman (a minority in the setting), a black man, a different black man, a Native American (basically), a giraffe (ironically the _one_ main Zoro fight with a non-minority in the Grand Line), a Japanese zombie, more fishmen, a dark skinned Roman, more Japanese people, and finally the last black man of a race of black people.
