Throughout this series, Adam's reaction to any change in Aaron's life is "Oh, that's great mate!, Wanna go for a pint later?" That's what good friends are like, innit?
You know I never saw the chemistry with them- yeah the story was gripping and perfectly acted but something was amiss and missing. After seeing Danny with Ryan Hawley(Robert Sugden) I know why. Danny and Ryan just have this magic, they make Robert and Aaron's love so real, you can feel it. That was what was missing with Danny and Marc/Aaron and Jackson. Marc Sillock was extremely uncomfortable in the intimate scenes and that made Danny equally aloof in scenes with him. I didn't see it at the time but now I can and again that's down to watching Robron. Danny is way more comfortable with Ryan and it shows.
RomanticRosebud I think the fact you can feel the love between Aaron and Robert far better than Aaron and Jackson is because its 6 years on now and Aaron is far more comfortable with his sexuality and has changed as a person in that time
Interesting observation. But I read somewhere that Danny had a problem with the kissing and intimacy. Now I wonder. Maybe there was an internal conflict in the production team how to deal with their own fears and the actors struggles. Obviously using more liberated and sexually secure actors or actual homosexual men would have been a solution.
Well Danny and Marc were flat mates and really good friends, and they had some issues surrounding the intimacy/kissing etc. but I still think they had good chemistry & that they were a good couple while Jackson was alive. I also think it had to do with Aaron’s character not being very comfortable with his sexuality at the time and him adjusting which I think also shows. But I do agree, Robron shares better chemistry and it feels so real between them two.
These people are all psychotic. When Jackson drives Aaron away the persecute Jackson and demonise Aaron when want to be together the wind blow the other way. And everyone always blames Aaron when he did not choose to go away. He was driven away by Jackson's self pity and driven to distraction by auntie Paddy and Chas. The really tragic thing is, if Jackson had not gone ballistic before the accident and just accepted Aaron's very heartfelt attempt to explain and given the lad time to understand all the new feelings then there would have been no accident. Jackson was pushing too hard and going too fast which made NO sense for his character. The coming out was already something monumental. He was never given time by any of them to process. Bloody Paddy betraying Aaron's trust and outing him drove him to distraction.. Patience and understanding as well as honesty are key components of any relationship. With this lot it is a mess and no one shows any respect for an individual's wishes.
I felt so bad for aaron because he blames himself but what he said when they were arguing was very heartfelt ans emotional. He was being honest, hes had a hard childhood and he doesnt (or didnt) understand what love was but Jackson had a happy (ish) childhood, is a couple years older and is more emotionally mature and should have been able to see that aaron cared about him alot even if he wasnt able to say he loved him yet.
Wow wow I love you Jackson ❤️😍😘 about fcuking time Aaron .....glad u man up about the love u have for Jackson about time I have fallen in love wit yah again
omg yes i have been waiting for this all this time. missed a bit so im jus going 2 watch it now. :) so glad there bak 2gether. first time in ages since ive seen that smile on aaron and jackson's face in ages. :D
@Ralec465 you summed it up really well. I´ve been watching this from the beginnig(December 2009) and yes I think most of the people complaining didn´t watch this from the beginning and are just searching for Ludwin, Chrolli etc. As much as I love all of them, they can´t compare on quality. These people have given us a fantastic year of great work (more than a year)
Aaron nails is here, it's exactly what I wanted him to say. I mean, Jackson is all, what about when it gets boring ; what if it doesn't work - and Aaron says it's just like any relationship. That is almost too wise a thing for him to say, considering, well, it's Aaron - but I'm so glad he said it :)
I'm so glad that Aaron and Jackson got back together. I hope it isn't a fleeting moment. The writers must keep them around. Would be nice if they gave Jackson some type of hope to move a bit more.
Is it just me or Jackson was laughing out loud with Aaron at the bar??? I can´t believe this. It must be love. I´ve been saying this since October but people were too busy talking trash about Aaron! lol And also I have to say I LOVED the convos they had yesterday and today! YES!!!
Both have problems with male intimacy, but the real problem is chemistry. Danny is affectionate with Adam and Dom on screen because he loves them in real life, but he and Mark are still getting to know each other. I do think familiarity is a bonus for actors. Aaron’s also become more affectionate with Chaz. They don’t hug but I believe them. If DM and MS had better off-screen chemistry, their EM relationship would be more believable, even if they never kissed. BTW, I do like DM and MS.
Jackson wanted Aaron to love him for so long but because he's different, he doesn't think he can make him happy. He also tried to let him go and Aaron didn't want to go. And when Jackson wanted to die, Aaron told him not to leave him. He was hurting so much. Jackson abandoned him in a way but he was hurting. Jackson also was scared that Aaron would leave him one day because he had before. He felt it'd get too much
Many of you have probably watched this storyline from the beginning. You know by now physical displays of affection are rarely part of this story, like or not. Not having the physical affection does not take away from the great performances and the exceptional writing that we are getting. Give me interesting characters, complex relationships and great performances over gratuitous displays of affection any day. There's something about this story and these actors that have you tuning in and ins

Everyone is talking about the WRITER'S not talking about Jackson's depression.. but, a big part of that depression was him releasing Aaron from the relationship.. Thinking that Aaron should go on with his life.. knowing that he still loves Aaron and can't bare the thought of him being with someone else.. but Aaron did just as I wished for.. went back.. and since Jackson seen how much it hurt him when Aaron found someone so quickly he took him back.. (*_*)ttyl
@AlanRM1000 Alan I think that episode was the best ever. The crash is just at the end (and in my opinion was really well done) but the rest of the epi is what made it so great. The convo before Jackson goes alone on the van was epic!
For anyone! I'm an american an I don't know how your British Soap Awards nominations are determined. So, can someone please explain to me how Marc Silcock is not up for Best Actor.
It's sad that an emotive smile is what counts for romance in regards to Aaron and Jackson. It makes sense because of their current situation, but it's not like Jackson can't feel anything above the neck.
@AlanRM1000 Your welcome. I could say one the reasons why he's different is becuase he's that small bit older than DM and AT but the fact is he's got a different personality than others. I reckon DM is probably a good guy as well. Yeah JS was in it for an episode after he left Hollyoaks. i just clicked in to it by accident (as ususal).
Hi Jon I am creating a channel about the Arran and Jockson storyline and I just windering if its ok with you that I used the videos that you do. ok everyone is complaining about how slow and that this story is taking to long but if you think about it, it is more reality based. I progresses at the length of a real relationship instead of a tv relationship. it lets us see them work problems whether the itty bitty tiny problems or hugh gigantic problems. we get to see the all side of this relationship. I know everyone is having a problem with how little affectionate that Aaron is. Remember the writers said that even though Aaron character
@karmelscream Being closeted isn't the same as being heterosexual.. Aaron was never into girls (heterosexual) so therefore it will be difficult for him to be affectionate with them.. He would avoid it as much as possible.. But living as a just out gay young man he has fallen for his first love.. once you're in love the relationship becomes more than just sex and affection.. It becomes wanting to stand by the man you love at all cost.. he's a ride or die dude.. (*_*)ttyl
@senatormi I think you're taking that out of context. Danny Miller has made comments about how he "chooses" not to be intimate in order to maintain the integrity of the character (whether or not this is really the reason). So he didn't so much "refuse" as in they asked him to and he wouldn't. He's made it clear that Aaron is not intimate by choice, because that's his character. And why I do think there is some truth to that - it is starting to become someone unrealistic.
@lkbb704 you're right about Igor .I'm not into Chrolli, but do believe that Christian loves Olli. Now DeRo, I love, though they're stuck in the background right now UGH! I miss them.Anyway, you feel Deniz's love for Roman in everything he does, the way he looks at him, how he touches him,the kisses, even in his tone of voice when he talks to him. And that's all down to Igor's incredible acting and how comfortable he is portraying a gay man. Raynor too,GTGS Maybe DM will get there someday.
I am getting so tired of these people! When Aaron and Jackson are not together, people complain, when they are together, people complain too... I know this is a soap, but can't they just mind their own business?!
another actor that does his job increrdibly well is Emmett Scanlan over on Hollyoaks, though Brendan's story is incredibly dark his potrayal is highly convincing. Danny is a great actor but the akwardness is hard to take at times. Who knows though and maybe it's not only him who make these desicions but the scene directors as well...
Jackson here looked like he wanted to leave. He loved Aaron that much it didn't look like he ever wanted to leave him. But being depressed, he couldn't bear it. If they'd let his arms work, he could have hugged his mother and Aaron. It destroyed Aaron. He didn't want to be without him. Didn't like him with Robert
@DMR2006 Jackson says "Don't" in response to Aaron's move to kiss him, when they are alone in Jackson's room. It's not about PDA, since they are alone. It's because Jackson needs a little time to absorb and believe what Aaron is saying.
@vladsedov I know...me too! No, I don't. Even May hasn't heard anything in awhile from what I hear. Nana hasn't been on for so long...like October I think. I wish I had other information for you, but if I hear anything, I will definitely be sure to pass it along.
Who were the earlier gay male characters on Emmerdale? Several people have mentioned them (without names) in replies to my comments. I can only remember Zoe, the lesbian vet, a key figure about 10 years ago. Yet her life bore no resemblance to the inferno that Aaron & Jackson live in. No train crashes, no wheelchairs. In fact ... she had happy, rewarding sexual relationships (with just about every woman in the village). Aaron's hell is the opposite of Zoe's charmed existence, it seems to me.
@candidacriscris So do most of the comments from the people on this forum. I'm a little taken aback by the hostility being shown here. Don't want to hear any spoilers, but let's just watch and see where it goes. The only really good point here is that there is a serious lack of physical affection from Aaron to Jackson - and that doesn't ring very true (even for Aaron).
At 0:17 Aaron moves to kiss Jackson, but Jackson says, "Don't." He's still taking in the news that Aaron loves him and isn't ready. I want them to kiss! but not on my schedule, on theirs.
@alwaysuseless agree with you there and also even though everyone wants to see it we wont see any more than a kiss becuase it is on quite early and although most people are ok with gay scenes some arent and the soaps have to contend with that as well xx
@AlanRM1000 concerning M.S and D.M and mr. sutton, i think sutton is a great actor (+singer) and i think he's not been given enough of a chance on emmerdale at the moment. I think DM is a good actor in the making , i wonder how well these two ppl get on off screen, cause in alot of guy/guy couplings on tv such as deniz/roman luke/noah brian/justin the actors in these couplings appear to have good chemistry off screen. i wonder if AT and DM had been coupled how would this work out. whats the key?
who are igor and danny? i know igor from lenny and carston and i think danny's from denniz and roman right? what about them? i think they did a great job on those shows if they are the ones i'm thinking about. and thore from vl is really good but i think he could do better than that girl that he's dating on that show. i don't know but theres something about her i just don't like.
@sanyrub there have been so many, scenes, characters, storylines. what i like no love is the small gestures, the interactions between the characters, and on screen chemistry. the small touchs that make u go ahhh. i think emerdale have been highly neglected this yr, the episode with the crash was fucking amazing. fuck i wouldnt neglect the others, i think the issue with these two talented lads (i prefer DM) is i wonder how well they get on off screen,
@sanyrub did u see the first interview when marc silcock spoke about playing gay, he didnt seem the most comfortable with the issue. i dont mean to be mean but J is came in a secondary character to further develop the character of aaron and his storyline. A came in with his own storyline.
@AlanRM1000 I agree many times with you, but can you tell me why you consider Danny a semi-great actor for that lack of confidence in intimate scenes and Marc a great actor? Cos I´ve never seen Marc doing better than Danny on that front. I´ve said it many times: Danny moved his lips while kissing once (in June), Marc never! I love both of them so I really don´t have a problem. And I really think you are satisfied enough too. I never see you in other soaps comment section...lol (HO, Ludwin, etc)
@nigelharman18 Actually, the lack of affection is a choice made by Danny Miller. It is the way he interprets Aaron as a gay man. He stated this in an interview not long ago..
So all of a sudden Aaron seems to be all sure about gay relationships and how to be with someone eh? Well i like how he's sort of taking control but at the same time he's trying to be a bit affectionate (he puts his hands on Jackson's legs) and that's a really big improvement for someone like Aaron. I wish there is a bit more but i'm happy with what I see. And aside from them, hazel, jerry, paddy they are all happy about A&J being back together and tbh i'm happy for them too (in the mean time)
@AlanRM1000 he is, i loved him in hollyoaks, then in casualty. he's a great singer. I loved the nearly kiss between A and A, u could really feel for DM's A. i think EMER need to shift them selves becuase this last yr was great they need to keep the momentum going.
@DocDawg79 That show, in general, is much more liberal than Emmerdale. Not that we shouldn't have expected a little something more than we were given - but don't waste your time waiting for something steamy, because it's never gonna happen with anyone on Emmerdale.
would be going through some changes, that his personality wouldnt change that much. if as a hetero Aaron wasnt as affectionate what makes you think that, that will change because his sexual orientations changes. i am also glad that Aaron has Paddy as a parent and not just Chas. Paddy know what to be a parent , even when you are unsure about your child decision you dont do as chas and become an ass about but you stand by and support that kid about said decision and be there if/or when it falls
Cont. Third, male intimacy is hard, especially for a tuff chav from Stockport. Give him time, he’ll get there. Fourth, DM is not a romantic lead. Finally, the part of Jackson should have been a funny, affectionate fellow who loves Aaron as is; e.g., an anti-Aaron. EM could have shifted PDA to Jackson, and Aaron would never need to reciprocate, just tolerate. A romantic comedy of opposites was the perfect vehicle for Aaron as it doesn’t require DM to touch guys in ways he doesn’t want
What's with the parents? Chas acts as though Jackson has done something to Aaron, he should not be with Jackson out of pity or obligation but if it's out of love then she should support him., she gets mad at Jacksons dad for not being thrilled that Aaron is back with Jackson when she has the same opinion? Paddy surprises me for not being more supportive, he has a step child on the way that is going to be handicapped. The parents just need to stay out of it. Nice to see Adam & Aaron.
@senatormi @frantomo The producers and Danny surely discussed how much intimacy would be required of him before he agreed to play Aaron. It's conceivable that they promised him it would be minimal. If that's the case, then so far they've lived up to their promise. However, since Aaron has kissed Jackson a couple of times, Danny presumably agreed to do at least that much.
Defending Danny: Danny’s Aaron is a unique mix of Heath Ledger’s introverted Ennis Del Mar and James Dean’s rebellious Cal Trask. But this storyline’s been battered beyond recognition and is punch drunk. Even now a credible romance can’t happen. How did Aarson end up here? First, it contradicts Aaron’s character; nothing in his past suggests such emotional intelligence. Second, it was too big a leap for DM. IIRC it took Thore (Chrolli) a year to learn how to touch and be touched by a man.
who else votes Chas OFF the island??? God almighty I can't stand her, everybody gets it but her. I don't like how everyone watched A/J like a flipping zoo exhibit. Aaron did exactly what J told him to do, and he got through it to be with him. They deserve each other now.
@JiminPalmSprings This soap and a recent US based soap that had a running count of over 200 days for one of their hottest pairings to not kiss onscreen and BOTH of those characters had the full use of their bodies.
Right, so they are back on and of course Jackson is in a wheelchair and Aaron is, well Aaron, so the writers get to keep their "controversial" storyline without having to show a physical relationship. Perfect. Sorry, i hate being treated like a knob so this is where i get off.
@Egu022 Ah ok, well then i kind of believe we should respect his decision then as an actor as to how he wants to play the role. i mean yes it maybe a little more exciting if we had more affection and romantic scenes but as you said Danny Miller chose to play it that way and therefore i believe he knows what is best for his character Aaron and i will enjoy watching the story develop.
@lkbb704 i dont think it is Danny Miller's fault it looks uncomfortable its more in the direction and script writing, i think it is true that it comes across on screen that it is awkward but that is just because he is not directed to do anything more. The fact that Danny Miller as an actor got thrown into the whole gay storyline was sudden and then so soon after that having the added difficutly of Jackson's paralysis does not make it easy for him as he had not had much practice beforehand
Throughout this series, Adam's reaction to any change in Aaron's life is "Oh, that's great mate!, Wanna go for a pint later?"
That's what good friends are like, innit?
*when jackson makes his dad give aaron the spare key*
I love that line of Aaron's to Jackson, 'This is what I want. So that's not a waste of anything, is it?' (2:27)
You know I never saw the chemistry with them- yeah the story was gripping and perfectly acted but something was amiss and missing. After seeing Danny with Ryan Hawley(Robert Sugden) I know why. Danny and Ryan just have this magic, they make Robert and Aaron's love so real, you can feel it. That was what was missing with Danny and Marc/Aaron and Jackson. I also think it had to do with Aaron’s character not being very comfortable with his sexuality at the time and him adjusting which I think also shows. But I do agree, Robron shares better chemistry and it feels so real between them two.
why did emmerdale have to kill jackson off...wtf...why can´t aaron be happy for once...
they don't get danny miller's amazing crying if they make aaron happy lmao!!
Jemiu Lee haha true true

And Hazel did exactly the same to Jackson. Control freak.
It's good to see that Paddy is the Paddy that I love...

Hazel, tone it down a little bit.

Love adam lol and from this you can see that aaron worships the ground that jackons walks on (hypothetically of course ) x
Hilarious. All the old children are upset, while the 2 young adults are happy! 3 counting Adam.
was that matt cardle playing in the background at the bar? or am i crazy?
i miss him so much, he was the best thing to ever happen to emmerdale, an the writers just fucked it all up.

@AlanRM1000 sutton in my opinion is a great singer, i came across the video on youtube by accident.
@alwaysuseless So now Jackson's issues with public displays of affection? I didn't know that condition could catch.
@vladsedov I know, I hope so too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and am holding my breath. I will let you know should I hear either way.
Is that Jacksobs father?Doesnt he looks like Aaron's father in 2016?
@candidacriscris So do most of the comments from the people on this forum. I'm a little taken aback by the hostility being shown here. Don't want to hear any spoilers, but let's just watch and see where it goes. The only really good point here is that there is a serious lack of physical affection from Aaron to Jackson - and that doesn't ring very true (even for Aaron).
7:34 i love that.
I vote for deleting spoiler comments... So annoying.
@sanyrub there have been so many, scenes, characters, storylines. what i like no love is the small gestures, the interactions between the characters, and on screen chemistry. the small touchs that make u go ahhh. i think emerdale have been highly neglected this yr, the episode with the crash was fucking amazing. fuck i wouldnt neglect the others, i think the issue with these two talented lads (i prefer DM) is i wonder how well they get on off screen,
at 8.35 arron so handsome OMG
what can i say.... i have mixed feelings about this episode/storyline. it/they just seems to become more disconnected as time goes on. ;(
@sanyrub did u see the first interview when marc silcock spoke about playing gay, he didnt seem the most comfortable with the issue. i dont mean to be mean but J is came in a secondary character to further develop the character of aaron and his storyline.
Wait has Aaron properly dumbed that bloke he was with or jus left him guessing? Luv Jac and A glad their bac together :)
My 5-year-old niece gets more action at nursery-school than those two.
@4sakeofart I totally agree. Last sentence included!
@sanyrub I would definitly not say its the best ever, there has been so many, its in the top 5 or 6.
