Hi Rachel , I came across your channel and really enjoyed it. Then I went down the rabbit hole………and I am now waiting for Lovely Opal 6ply sock wool from the Wooly Brew ……it’s wool I really enjoy using and it was in their yarn sale! Thank you for pointing me in that direction and I look forward to your future videos. Have a great day x
Thank you Rachel. So lovely seeing around St Andews. Our youngest sin spent three extremely happy years at university there. At the same time as William and Catherine. We used to visit often and your video brought back so many happy happy memories.
New (Scottish) subscriber here 😊 so lovely to see St Andrews, we love it there. The charity shops are so good. Also love Topping. I take the dog with me, browse the books with the complimentary coffee while hubby visits the golf shops, win win 😂❤x
Hi, thank you for such a lovely video. I was born near Glasgow and we spent holidays in our caravan in St Andrews in the 70’s😱 long time ago. Your finds looked lovely and their was so much gorgeous yarn. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Just found you , I’ve visited St Andrews and your finds are great, I love pretty glasses and we tend to break them occasionally so often find replacements I think beautiful things should be used everyday .
That was lovely Rachel. I love a good look around the charity shops and those were super. I love your ideas for the glasswear, we were bought some glasses very similar when we got married many years ago and they are never used as I don't drink. I may start and use mine for water etc, why not ☺
A Canadian viewer here. Thanks for taking us along to St Andrews! I really enjoyed it and it's lovely to see all the shops too. Thanks for sharing the Cozy Murder books, I must see if I can get them here. For cozy murders, have you heard of Louise Penny's books? She's a Canadian author and has written the Inspector Gamache series. I have read and enjoyed them. Happy thrifting, sewing and knitting!
Hello! So lovely to have a Canadian viewer ❤️ thank you for your kind comment. I have not heard of Louise Penny but will definitely have to check them out now. Thanks so much for the recommendation ☺️❤️
What a fun video to go shopping with you. 😊. I would love to hear reviews on the books you picked up. I love murder mysteries as well. I have nearly the entire series of the vintage Nancy drew books
You probably already know this but I’d research 100%alpaca wool before making a sweater out of it cause I know it can expand exponentially when blocking if it’s not mixed with another fibre x
I have spent most of my life living close to St Andrews and went to high school there, and i have a real love/hate with the place. It's a pretty little town with beautiful beaches, lovely shops and restaurants, my favourite bookshop is also Topping and Company ❤ However, I don't always enjoy being there because of the amount of tourists, golfers and students, it can be overwhelming for a small town. On the other hand, the town wouldn't be as well kept or have the same amount of amenities if it weren't for this influx of people so 🤷♀️ I think i just need to escape to a remote island 😂 I do love the East Neuk though, particularly the tidal pools 🌊
Yes I can understand that. Living in the Cotswolds we have the exact same issue. This time of year it is absolutely crazy but then it’s the reason we have so many lovely indie businesses. They rely on the tourists for their business so it’s a difficult one. I would love to live on a quiet Scottish island 😂 we went swimming in the tidal pool at St Monans and it was lovely ☺️
@RachelBearn I've never been to the Cotswolds but from what I have seen of it, it looks lovely. I can imagine it gets swamped at this time of year but certainly good for small businesses. St Monans is my favourite tidal pool 🩵

Love the teapot. I also love second hand items, plus it’s so important to recycle and you can
Find real bargains.
Yes totally agree! Can’t wait to use my teapot ☺️

Thank you! Yes why should the alcohol drinkers have all the fun? Just whack your squash in them I say! Orange squash can be fancy too 😆😉

Ah thank you for the tip! Xx
Love St Andrews. One of my favourite places 👍🏻🏴
Yes it’s so lovely!
Yes. I've noticed lots of crystal in the charity shops, in Scotland, recently 🤔
The nocturne pyjamas from Sew Liberated is a beautiful pattern and you could use the 2 different prints for the yoke on the top!
Ah thank you! I’ll have to check out the pattern ☺️
That was fun
Thank you! ❤️

I think your wine glasses might be Edinburgh crystal Star of Edinburgh. They were expensive and very collectible back in the day.
Ooo thank you! I’ll have to check that out online. Love it when you find a charity shop bargain that used to be worth a lot
Fife is lovely 🙂
It is beautiful!
Cozy murders. So funny
Haha I know! Such an oxymoron 😂
Sorry my love but St Andrew’s is not famous because of Kate and William. It is famous for the golf open
Famous for both I think! Just a little bit of joke
