I've been thinking how can i improve my Lee gameplan, this is my first Tekken game and got to Fujin thanks to your vids,i'll be incorporating the 2-2-3 frame trap after df1. Great video buddy
I won't lie this is one of the better videos I've seen. Say what you will about the mic it really got alot of information across efficiently. Structuring all felt natural too.
For 223, it's definitely hitconfirmable, but only on the 1st hit. You can 22 and visually confirm the counterhit sparks. You're -13 if they block, but it's better than getting ducked and launched.
Sup fellow lee mains. You can actually counter hit confirm both the 2,2,3 string and the df3,2,3 strings really easily. The hit sparks are different for counter hits, it becomes a reddish/pink slash. If the first move of these strings hits and you see the counter hit spark it is safe to finish the string! You can see an example of the different hit spark on normal hit at 6:21 for normal hit and at 6:29 for a counterhit Stay marvelous!🌹
Really good stuff! I’m a Lee main and your video didn’t particularly contain new info for me but you articulated very clearly the strengths of these strings which affirmed I was using these strings correctly in my gameplan. Except I tend to forget df3,2,3 exists, I will try to add that to my gameplay next! Also I wanted to add that I’ve been experimenting on twitch confirming uf3,4. I think it is possible if you visually recognize you are going to for example crush a low with the first move, what are your thoughts on that? Keep up the good work, you earned a subscriber!
Thank mate, appreciate the kind words of encouragement. Yeah twitch confirming uf3,4 is definitely more than doable, it's just I don't use it much unless I got a hard read or the opponent is really spamming lows (you can punish the hell out of dickjabs after wr3,4 with it). It's usable, just a bit difficult to find a place for it, because it's so slow, you can get floated out of it, and if you're being as safe as possible with it, you're still left at -9 in their face. But I kinda wanna play around with it now and see what results I get

I never noticed that, that's pretty cool. But I still don't know how realistic it is to see it and react to it in a real match, especailly for 2,2,3. Much easier to notice twitching

lees one of those characters that get significantly weaker the moment u lab him, most of lees toolkit is either linear asf or highs, he basically gambles with his life whenever he even attempts to start some sort of offense, ppl like to upplay him and say he’s incredibly strong but he’s a lower mid tier imo
He's got strong tools if they work, and all he needs is one counterhit and one wall splat to win, but yeah, when someone labbed him, he starts to struggle so much and has to be afraid to throw out anything. Lili is one of my worst matchups because she steps everything. Against someone who labbed Lee a bit, you gotta have your brain firing on all cilinders, because one mistake, no matter which move you used, and they launch you. Gotta be real careful with everything (hense this video), and gotta be able to read your opponent

Another tipp: if they jab interrupt your 223 after df1 because you're -1, try using ff4 to launch them for it
2,2,3 isnt really a frame trap tho. But most people do slower moves after df1 so 2,2,3 works pretty well

@@BlackPegasusBPif you train your eye to see that, it's easier than it looks. Also counter hits make a slightly different hit sound too!
3:53 It is because there is a lot of mid-high strings, where you just duck after first hit on block.

He's better than T7 imo. With limited pressure tools, I felt like fighting with my hands tied back then.
The game is very heat focused, and he has the worst heat in the game, objectively. So yeah, he’s def kinda weak sadly.

My only problem is whenever I play him online I just drop his combos left and right... It only takes 1 or 2 frames of lag to make u drop his combos

That's the problem. Lee has too many highs and not enough mids. My opponent can legally duck all of my attacks and punish me for it..
