Got to try these sketch books, very mixed views on Amazon but watching this, they look fine for ideas and simply having a bit of fun. I am very surprised that even thought the paper is thin, there is no bleed through to the other side of the pages.

Hi Martin! I would like to find these sketchbooks. May I ask what they are called or where you got them? I loved the spontaneous way you used in them and the drawings were wonderful. I loved the crows!
hi, no these sketchbooks are with 125 g normal sketching paper so not made for using them with watercolour. in my opinion, the rough paper works quite good with dip pens but this depends on everyones personal choice.
@@MartinLachmairArt Thanks for your quick reply Martin, cold press doesn't work for me with dip pens, spatter is not my favorite technique.😀 It would be nice if you listed the specific materials you used in each video in the 'Description Section', just a thought.
Beautiful sketches! You dripping ink then closing the pages on it made me shudder! Ha! But it's great not to be so precious. What size do you use? I see they come in 3 sizes, A5 (6 x 8.3), A4 (8 x 11), and B5 (7.5 x 10).

Nice cheap sketchbook, the ink doesn’t show on the other side. Love your drawings, esp. the trees and portraits! Cityscapes too. Ok, all of it!
