Fantastic job with the walk threw! I am days away from purchasing a new Grand Design MB and this layout now has me rethinking it. Had no idea it existed until this popped up as a suggested video. Those cable driven slides are the only thing I think i would want different. Again, great job!
I appreciate it! Good luck with your decision but Grand Design is a tough one to beat. The mid bunk in this one was a game changer 👍🏾
Great looking RV, very nice job explaining the features, your a natural at this better than a lot of professional videos I’ve seen!!
Thank you Keith for your comment, really appreciate it 🙏🏽
Great 5th Wheel ! You have such a nice family ! Safe travels & keep reviewing !
Thank you and really appreciate your comment! Same to you 👍🏾
Thank you for showing this! What an awesome floor plan. RE a tv in the bedroom - not strictly necessary - however - I've seen a few rvs had a tv that folded down from the ceiling. You can also use a projector in any room. And that would work outside too. Thanks again!
No problem, we got lucky as this was locked on several occasions when we stopped by. Projector is the way to go on this rig, thanks for sharing 😀
Love the voltages , I would have no need for the mid bunk though. Another stellar review brother!
Thanks man 👍🏾
i love trailer reviews. this was really nice. great family too by the way.
Thanks David, appreciate it!
I have an 18 4005 voltage and love it. Been pretty good to us.
Thanks for sharing this 👍🏾
Good point made on the t-handle pull location being out of the way of the fresh water hose.
Thanks! Now that I live in mine full time, it’s a pain...
Very good review. So good that I've subscribed to your channel. I have a couple of comments. You referred to the windows as dual pane, but you probably meant frameless. Also, it would have been nice to see the ramp and outside patio setup. Toy haulers in general do not have a dinette for the folks to sit and eat. You were correct about needing a dually truck, and I like the dump valves being above the water connections. My Redwood didn't have it that way.
Thanks! The windows on this RV resemble the dual pane glass I saw on a jayco eagle but they may just be frameless. As my channel continues to grow, I will be able to have time to set up a dealer visit that would allow me to show the patio but this was a presold trailer that someone let us look at really quickly. Thanks again for your sub 👍🏾
Wow! Beautiful TH. Forget your average dually pick-up truck. Black on Black International CXT with chrome would look awesome.
Great review brah 🤙
That’s you bro! I saw a Volvo class 8 pulling a big DRV Suites and it was blacked out except wheels. 🔥🔥🔥 thanks Mikey 👍🏾
I like the concept with a midbunk and toyhauler garage. If we were full timing and/or doing a lot of boondocking I’d consider it. But, it’s too big for most of the parks out here in Cali. You can get in a lot but are limited on where you can can. And our favorite lake spot is capped at 40 which just fits our 368MBI. Plus, I’m no longer a fan of cable slides. We’ve had the cables break on our kitchen slide twice now. Not fun manually retracting the slide so we could tow it to a dealership for repairs. Good job on the review man. And good find cause, like you, I didn’t even know that combo existed.
And that’s why we picked our 368 because it was right at 40FT. The new ones now advertise 39 foot, however I don’t see any differences in the rv.
Our next RV won’t have cables either and although I haven’t had issues, I’ve heard of a couple other 368 owners who have along with you.
I had no intentions on doing a review on this but because it was left open, I just took advantage of the situation! Thanks Eric 👍🏾
That’s where we bought our voltage at. They definitely can’t be beat on the price. Our unit is identical to that one minus the mid bunk. Only problem I see with that is it’s length. It is difficult to find sites that can fit fifth wheels once they get longer then 40’.
Man that’s a big boy and glad to hear Chesaco stepping into price. I agree 44FT is gonna force you to do a lot of dry camping... it’s hard enough to find a spot for 40FT...
First video of yours I've seen and being unprepared you did a good job. As far as the rig I'd get a seismic before this one any day!
Thanks, I went there to do a review on a Jayco Eagle fifth wheel but noticed this one was available to walk through so luckily I was able to get footage before they got too busy!
The Seismic if I can recall doesn’t have cable driven slides which would be a plus for me and I think Jayco is doing a great job with their quality, thanks for sharing 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork good memory sir, no cable slides and personally a better th all around. I plan on getting the 4113 model, I'd love to see your review on it if that's possible. Anyway I subscribed, I like the content so far, have a good weekend👍
Thanks for the sub! My local dealer used to carry them, if they get one in, I will stop by and review it 👍🏾!
Holly sticker shock Batman!!! Yes this is by far my new favorite toy hauler!
😎
Very sharp looking ride.
F350 crewcab, super duty with diesel can tow a fifth wheel at 35k lbs roughly. Or 21k lbs gas job. I just seen this on sale in Albany ny for $72,000.
Slide toppings...I was hungry 😂😂😂 same, bro, same 😂
Lmao, I was done. I had no intentions of doing a review, it was open so I decided to push through 😂!
@@JB_WhoWork just roll with it, lol
That was the automatic transfer switch in the storage compartment.
Thanks for sharing this 👍🏾
We looked at Voltage too...can totally tell its made by Keystone as the similarities to the Fusion and Carbon carryover....kitchen and garage setup seems very similar to Carbon 358 (but 2 axle)
Gotcha, I have Fuzion TH around me but not too familiar with the Carbon models.
Barr Thom Did Keystone buy Dutchmen? I have a 13 and it’s junk.
2:17 - the invertor for residential fridge 6:40 -- that's a transfer switch for generator use.
Thanks brother!
Time to upgrade to that black DUALLY also.
Ok. So to clear up JB’s inaccuracies, The Rear Exhaust is LONG intentionally so the exhaust heat will not destroy the exterior paint and finish on the unit. The two vents in the garage are to be opened while towing so that it exhaust any fumes or fuel gasses from your stored vehicles. It is an ok unit, the galley and sofa area are very small, not great for any entertaining. This is a 2 person mostly unit.
Thanks for clearing things up 😀
Good looking well laid out fifth wheel but with an MSRP of $130+ I wouldn’t expect to see cable drive slides and F rated tires.
Lol! Some manufactures find ways to cut corners and I never thought about it until you said it.... This thing is way too expensive to be cutting corners!!!! Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
Dutchmen likes to use cheap tires!
Great Review
Thank You!
Need your advice. Could you recommend he longest I could go for a fifth wheel and longest trailer to get with a Ram 2500 gas. Thanks
If you have a longbed than you will have better stability for long trailers so as long as you stay within your payload/tow capacity, you should be fine. Do you have a 4.10 axle?
Don’t ask on UA-cam for advice and believe what is said
Be smart and do your homework
I am not saying this guy does not know the answer to your question but the only way to truly know is to look at what your truck is rated for weight then add up all the weight payload in your truck ( people and cargo) take that off the gw
Then ask if your bumper hitch pulling or fifth wheel or gooseneck
The 3 have different rates as to what you can haul
And most importantly just because a trucks payload says it can haul something does not mean the driver has the experience to be behind the wheel of said truck hauling a payload
Just keep all that in mind
Any modifications to the truck can add or subtract from max towing
Thanks for sharing, he’s probably getting as much advice as possible and compiling it to make a educated decision. I recommend people research everything I post especially when I do my “weight watchers truck edition” 👍🏾
That would look sic behind a black dually or M2
Hey JB yeah but look like you was need a tractor to pull it something like a Peterbilt of Kenworth
Quite honestly you gonna need something bigger than a SRW. This is long and heavy from the factory so I would add a 4500 cab&chassis to the list also!
Out of my price range brother. Lots of sleeping space for sure. I just like either front or rear living room area with space to move around some. One large couch to watch TV and relax is a downside for me. There is for sure lots of sleeping space.
Me too! After discounts you are still $87-$90k. Once the kids are older we will look into FL but so far the mod bunk works well for us. Thanks for sharing Ric 👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork if you have kiddo's you definitely need space for them for sure. When you have kids it's all about them.
Yup!
This thing is gorgeous! Ide love a rig like this
What’s up Dennis?!?!? It really is, time to get a Cummins 👀
JB Reviews what’s up JB!!! if I pull that monster I might buy another Cummins 😂 though I might wait and see if ram gets a new trani in the next couple years. funny thing, Where I live I’m starting to see a lot of new hemi 2500’s and 3500’s driving around. I used to be the only one I saw that had one and now literally half of all 2019+ rams I see driving around are 6.4’s. I think People are just getting tired of the $10,000 diesel premium.
Haha! Yea the Hemi with the 8 spd is nothing to write off as it definitely feels better mated compared to my setup. What kind of mileage you getting?
JB Reviews well I’ve got a 3in lift and 37 inch tires so it’s dropped a little on avg. like 14 just around town. 8.5-10 pulling trailer depending on which trailer I’m using and how heavy it’s loaded. Before the lift and tires was about 1.5mpg better on both. Highway I get about 18.
Man that’s great for 37’s! I’ve thought about doing 35’s on my truck but I would need to do a lift. I’m getting about 18-19 at 65 mph but once I go 75mph+, I’m 17-18 mpg.
Need to get a dually now.
I would for this rig 👍🏾
It sucks having a 1 ton diesel dually and still not being able to pull that. Oh well, garage is too small anyways.
Cute family!
Thank you Melanie 👍🏾
Time to upgrade Justin. You remodeled your Cougar toooooooo soon. LMAO
😂😂😂I cant afford this, way out of my league. Maybe 10 years of depreciation will help 😀
@@JB_WhoWork RVs are sooooo damn expensive.
Not to mention the cost to tow them, supplies needed, and cost to go to a park... I wouldn’t change it for anything though!
At 2:03 what is the black stuff? I swear it looks like a dead bird. I had to stop and come back because I did a double take
Wow it does look like a bird... that is a gas line so it may be some sort of retardant to avoid a fire from happening
JB Reviews ah ok! Lol. I really was stuck on that part. Glad there isn’t a dead bird in there. 😂
Lol nope no animals were harmed in the filming of this video 😂😂😂
Great video. I think you mean 4205 though, not 4025.
Thanks!
That was a nice rv. Did they have any other colors
That seem to be the only color scheme, no pink from what I could see 😂😂😂 Sorry I couldn’t help myself lol
It really is a nice Toy Hauler but man finding a campground to accommodate will be the challenge...
You’re a great guy with a great sense of humor. Keep up the good work
Thanks Byron 👍🏾
Why is the black water tank 160 gallons and the fresh water only 86 gallons? That makes 0 sense.
Very nice toy hauler.. Check out and do a review on the 2021 Grand Design Solitude 380FL.. You’ll like it homeboy..
Thanks, Beckley’s RV may have one so I will put it on my list 👍🏾
Sounds good bro
nice rv but cable driven slides would make me walk away.
💯
im not familiar, whats the main difference between cable driven and hydraulic driven (it's hydraulic right?)
David Stevenson no it’s rack and pinion slide but I think there is hydraulic one to, but the cable slides are harder to manage if they get messed up
Hydraulic systems and electric systems can be used on rack and pinion slides but I have not seen a hydraulic/cable setup.
Like it but I am not a person who likes painted swirls - treatments etc. I want one in one solid color outside. I do not need the logos to advertise for the manufacturer. It’s why I keep looking at Airstream.
Good points 👍🏾
the best 5th wheel has 7 degree landing gear which makes it truly stable esp in the wind ..........which one is it ??????????????????
I don’t know, but would like to
Drv 7degree lean toughest built so far that I have seen nice and heavy but like I said those legs lean seven degrees which keeps it steady especially in the wind
I would like to walk through a DRV or a Luxe one day. Thanks for sharing 👍🏾
👍
Cable slides kinda ify, not like rack n pinion slides. Still nice though
My buddy replaced 2 in a month lol
It depends on the size of the slide.
@@mattlaskey782 true that, I'm worried my TT is cable driven. Been hearing bad reviews on it.
Mota 0116 my tt slide is cable driven, only problem I’ve ever had was a motor that failed. New motor and gearbox(attached to the motor) and been gtg since.
@@mattlaskey782 tnx bro
Very similar to my grand design momentum 350m except for the mid bunk
You still camping? I guess if your traveling and have the toys in the rear, the mid bunk would definitely come in handy if you use the loft for storage. Thanks JB 👍🏾
We head home Saturday morning.
Yes that mid would be perfect. The loft is more of a gimmick in my opinion. I wouldn’t allow anyone to sleep up there. It makes good storage
Man that went quick... You should just take another week lol!
Yea that loft is too high for comfort especially with my wild sleeping kids 😅
JB Reviews A full week with a total of 35 family members!! Quick! Not quick enough hahaha
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Did you get the price????
I did not, it was a special order
Thanks for the seizure inducing motion sickness geez dude! You gotta slow down on the camera when you are moving back and forth or spanning the room.
What does everyone say towing a trailer like this with a single rear wheel 1 ton truck with airbags? I have a 18” ram 3500 with the Cummins and I’d rather not have to upgrade my truck.
I guess I got my answer when he mentioned being only dually territory
Oh, come on show us the inside, please please
Yes, they look sharp and beautiful, but after owning 2 toyhauler I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy any of them because of all the problems with them and they fall apart very quickly. The warranty is junk. Please don't waste your money very very bad investment
Are you wearing homemade jean shorts 😂
No, but they were a lot of money $12 😌
Overall good review, although the gentleman would benefit from knowing more details. He says I'm not sure quite often.
I went there to do a video on another rig and someone walked me over to see this one so this video was done without any prior planning so not bad
@@JB_WhoWork i thought your review was amazing..
ty
Thanks bro 👍🏾
Better to say I don’t know, or I’m not sure than to make up some bs lol.
Lol! I agree!
I am pretty sure you use your taxes and stock money on that coach 100% devours you I would
Hopefully they’ve improved their build quality. I have a Voltage and they’re built like junk. I’d never own another a Dutchmen product. Grand Design for the price is a better product.
Thanks for sharing, the only thing I didn’t like was cable driven slides but didn’t notice anything stick out from the walk through 👍🏾
JB Reviews In the front storage if you can look behind the paneling. My wiring looks like a rat’s nest. I had to replace my slide flooring and you should of seen how they cut the fiberglass on the lower part of the slide. I think Keystone and GD are way better.
Just found out Keystone owns Dutchmen. New Voltage might not be so bad!
Wow that’s no good...
When you try to sound smart, but your terrible grammar gives you away. Just talk like a human being..
When your UA-cam channel is up 70% and you wonder if that bad grammar really had an effect on it 😜 thanks for supporting the channel 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
@@JB_WhoWork Guess there's a demographic for anyone.
Disappointed in the King bed ones side entrance/exit.
