When trying to use the half method from the controller and if the acc2 has an over-current, it will shut itself down (module) and you will not be able to do a wire test from 'decoder diagnostics' down the line. So you definitely have to use an outside 24V transformer to test the line for short or open circuit.

If I have a icd 400 and one of the station isn't working and the solenoid is good do I have to replace the whole icd-400
If solenoid works and you can hear it click, that tells you that the controller, wire path, and solenoid are all OK. Look for valve or water supply obstructions.
