Jabali is the only baby gorilla I've ever seen climb up their fathers back to sit on his shoulders and play with his head like human children do with their fathers lol. It's so funny to watch bc DJ just calmly let's him sit there for a minute until Jabali starts biting instead of drumming on his head ?🤣🤣🤣

Climbing on daddy's head and beating on it like a drum is the most fun for Jabali, it's like a new adventure and never before have I seen such a naughty baby and a Silverback so kind and permissive with his baby. I know we don’t get to see all the moments between Silverbacks and their babies but for me this relationship between DJ and Jabili reminds me of Matadi and Thandie ❤️
I’ve never seen a silverback let there children climb all over them this way DJ has to be the most patient and passive gorilla ever … he’s my number 2 favorite next in line to momotora …he has a wonderful family… they both have naughty boys … lots of entertainment watching these to families grow… does he carry them to? Lol🤣🦍😍

I just love watching this beautiful family. Watching them has really showed me what family is, love for one another and respect and very protective of each other. We as humans can learn such a grest deal from these beautiful souls.

I still feel sorry still for the loss of their habitat but at least this zoo has made an effort to make a natural setting. What about climbing ropes or large trees to climb, what do the silverbacks normally do during the day, look for a new site or any changes in the one they are in now. He looks so board.
