Dating apps are lame. Majority are for hookups which if that's what you are looking for, that's fine. Large number of people don't develop long term relationships from it. People move on after 1-3 dates, constantly looking for the next shiny thing. Before the whole dating app culture, there's more time spent to know someone and the people I know who had long term relationships or married are the ones who dated for a while (only one on one) and then let the relationship grow. It's not instant matching, text for a few days, have a couple meetups, and then the one appears. Just not organic. Dating culture today is exhausting.
Got tired of finding a ton of married people on apps for singles.
Never used one and never will, I’d much rather be patient and wait and see what happens naturally

@@bugra320 it does. Most married people met naturally. At work, through friends, at parties. You just have to go outside and do things. Do things for the intentions of having fun not to find someone. The person will come when you focus on yourself
AI flirting? The world is doomed.
I know dating is hard but I rather not meet someone online. I feel like I've met enough people in person who are very off. So imagine someone online not connected to anyone you know? That's 100x worse.
After 30+ years of meeting a BONKLOAD of individuals over those decades, I cannot honestly say that more than 1-3% of them were ethical, sane, inspiring, awesome people. It's unfortunate, but that's how it is (or whatever... how it WAS). I'm not even talking about dating specifically, either. Just people; everyone en-masse. Narrowing that disaster down to "females I'd like to date who are within a 60-120 mile radius" is clearly as close to the number known as "0" as one could imagine. :)

No it’s how it works. The other day I had to intervene with a neighbor having a mental meltdown…now IM getting mental health ads on MY phone😂
AI luring people into a date is 🤢. Dating apps are a thing of the past though. Especially Bumble. Kicking regular people off for getting falsely reported after rejecting someone. Yet tons of bots & scammers get to have profiles. Weird times.

AI already makes job hunting and resumes, applicant tracking software (ATS) etc. an already miserable process even more miserable.

Internet Dating was cool from 2008-2016 because they were still somewhat "taboo" then. Then once the apps came it got destroyed. Time to go back to meeting people in person! The apps now are nothing but glorified casino slot machines that make you addicted to swiping.
This approach does not work it's been ruined by countless scammers to begin with for years at this point you might as well search for in person dating agency to do the work

Online dating was so passive. I would match with someone and they would never respond. And Ppl do not know how to conversate. No one wants to make the 1st move; so you’re stuck in small talk until you get bored
Dating in person sucks, but online dating was worse. Ppl are either only looking for hookups, or they come with A LOT of baggage or both
How do I date IRL when I'm stuck in the suburbs of Texas? Fyi there's no nightlife or 3rd places here. And the dating pool is a puddle since everyone is either a boomer or family with young kids.

A friend of mine was telling me about his experiences with Bumble and Tinder and so forth. Half joking around, he requested his data from one of 'em--you know, all the "swipes", clicks, views, matches... whatever. He was bloody well SHOCKED to see that he'd "swiped" something to the tune of 30,000+ images (or accounts or whatever) over the years. And obviously, there were the "no thank yous" as well. I'm certain you can guess as to how many legitimate matches he told me he'd experienced.

Most dating apps are just away for women to boost their ego. They just sign up to read the compliments and rarely bother responding. The only legit ones are the ones where women and men both have to pay to join. If the woman is paying for the service it means shes genuinely wanting to meet someone. The ones that charge men and allow women to use it for free are mainly used by women that need a confidence boost or they are just bored and killing time.
We have plenty of friends to hang out with. Who are you kidding? Ego is a YOU problem. 😂

Yeah the dating apps and websites have data to support your claim as well with women only picking 2% of their potential matches and men picking over 60% of their potential matches. I'm glad I met my wife the old fashioned way.. Dating these days seems impossible

I don’t believe in love to me my mind thinks scientifically of what I want in someone for both financial and who’s best for having future kids with. Not what I want emotionally. But I also don’t want kids since they have become a burden financially and have enough nieces and nephews to enjoy.

the only promise that AI has in dating is the ability of brutal truth in assisting in match making, not based on what BS the AI can spin out, but in setting up the match based on real data. People would give up their privacy to the AI dating app, sort of how everyone already has with Instagram and Gmail.
Any person relying on AI is certainly going to be awkward AF in person. AI is not going to help them there.
The AI app is ridiculous, it's just going to waste people's time with these socially awkward people using AI to formulate responses and then when they go to meet the person in real life, the jig is up and the other person will be so disappointed 🙄
