this was actually a live version, morrissey's voice is really good live so it's hard to tell - and the people hugging him are just randomers from the crowd. his shows are pretty well known for the adoring fans who come up on stage and do that stuff lmao
The first time I saw him in 1991 tons of people made it to the stage and it was nuts. He loves it, allows it and generally the security is pretty respectful of the fans. I’ve even made it on stage at one of his shows in NYC (Roseland Ballroom) back in the day.
This is not the studio version!! Its crazy to think but the original hits different on head phones even though this live version is so incredible by itself!

Pretty sure he’s referring to the court case between him and Marr and Mike Joyce (and to a lesser extent Rourke). Not sure if the other person is Joyce or the Judge. Whole court case got really ugly and most of the songs off Vauxhall reference the case.

Vauxhall and I probably had the best Morrissey tracks period. Not even that big of a fan of him but I frequent that album quite a lot
