My older brother had a 1960 Jazzmaster and a 1960 PRO and one of those '61 Reverb tanks, best I can recall. Got it first year they came out, at any rate. This is a great sounding rig, hear!
Question for you if you still remember I have a 61 Princeton but it has cream knobs So was wondering if that Pro or the tank had cream or brown knob's Thanks man
Is it still being sold as a 1950 Broadcaster because its still hanging on to the original body shape (but not original finish) ? With every electronic component and all functional hardware (aside from bridge plate) replaced and the neck/fretboard reshaped and refinished I think it would be more accurately described as "Vintage Partscaster (with 1950 Swamp Ash Body)."
original body, original neck (yes, planed), original bridge, original weird pickguard. Sooner or later most vintage guitars will get the electronics modded because they wear out and will get a refret. All original is nice but at 70+ years it's a thin market for electric guitars from the 1950s. Go ahead and find another one if you don't like this one.
I agree and would probably prefer original electronics to an original refin'd body I'm bias tho LoL I have a 65 Strat that original body was heavy as heck and thick poly refin So picked up a nice light MjT nitro replacement These guys client's are people with lots of disposable income 35K for a partscaster Tele 😳 Ah the good old days 58 Strat for 3K in early 90's
So, not a broadcaster neck, frets, finish, nut, tuners, pickups or pots.... really curious what kind of price someone would actually consider paying for this. Fair to say it's a super old partscaster?
Hmmm really think you should have left the tuner's be Obviously those were staying in tune Let the buyer decide maybe throw some original replacements in the case Just my opinion Very cool guitar I just picked up a 61 Princeton tremolo Love it It has cream knobs tho...is that correct for some of those early ones ??They are getting pricey Is the reverb unit for sale ?? No reverb in my house 😟
Yes just saw the price...some Dr or lawyer will buy it maybe but I'm sure that's negotiable lol Really thinking about it if you picked up a Warmoth roasted neck and body combo and put your favorite electronics in it Pretty much the same results IMO
These are MAJOR player guitars. Worthless. Good salesman though. NOTHING original other than maybe the wood, the totally refinished wood. $3K tops but you could do way better for that money. Sorry guys.
Dude, I like that you didn’t fix your hair after you stuck your finger in the socket!
We all wish we had that much hair!! :-)
He's cool, he's hip, he's 45.
Buddy Holly gone berzerk!
Amazing playing brother. Great Dynamics and touch. 🙌
I am a big fan of this series. Beautifully shot and edited videos. Love what you guys are doing here. I only wish I lived closer to Seattle!
Like this guy demoing. Covers a variety of playing.
4:05 playing begins.
That reverb unit sounds great.

This guy knows what the next note should be

You forgot about the original pickguard with 50 bullet holes. One for each time he made a mod to the guitar 😆
Shouldn't have changed the tuner's out IMO They left the rest so that's strange

The last Fender Broadcaster before the Nocasters is for sale at Carter Guitars as of 15April23
Great playing!!!
Glorious tones.
By far the slickest demos out there.

Yep...
Yeah...makes me wonder why even change the tuner's back Should have left it all how it was lol maybe that justified the price
Super, sounds incredible, kind of Allman Brothers......
The reverb tank was the first pedal!!
Cool playing! What's the name of the first melody?
Damn, that guy can play. He sounds like a whole band.
Damn, these are the sickest demos.
Is the decal on the headstock original?
That's sick
That's damn near as good as the 59 and the dumble

that pickguard....uuuuugly!!!!
Yeah, babe! That's what I mean!!!! Hot damn, do I love it. Gimme that machine! :-)
Each mod he describes inflicts the pain. Ouch.
Yeah. It's an Ouchcaster.
I don't really like the broken up sounds from that amplifier.
Agree, sounds very thin and waspy
Nice sound for a small speaker
I dont know why they stick the mic right up on the cone of the speaker
Metal dustcap speaker is meant for cleans. Use a celestion g10 gold and that amp screams
Agree also to much reverb but still a cool video
practically the only original thing left is the pencil date on the neck. Maybe..
I'll give you $500 for the pair.
You'll take care of the shipping right?
Yikes…..Next time move the mic away from the center speaker for future demos. Sounds super fizzy.
So basically the only thing original is the wood, certainly not worth $ 35,000, more like $ 5,000.
Whew is that what their asking ??? Maybe they would be interested in some of my player grade guitars 🤔

That's not a Broadcaster. It's someone's hobby horse.

Brad paisleys people should be aware of this…. Maybe ? 🍻
