When I purchased this old girl she was in a bad condition to say the least but with many months of restoration she now looks in show room condition. I also think this tractor is a beautiful tractor too. My next project is a David Brown of similar year to the Leyland.
@@bradleamon4466 Thank you and I agree with you Brad some of the best engineers worked hard to develop those tractors.back in the day and they did a super job too.
The four wheel drives on these old tractors was pretty reliable to say the least but like most things in life I guess theres good ones and bad one’s. Thanks for the comment though. 👍
I also own a John Deere 7280R and that beast as had the turbo replaced, cooling tank replaced, hydrostatic drive slipping and only done 2850hrs. The Leyland 804 has done 4600hrs has a perfect transmisson, perfect engine, perfect turbo and given whole lot of love for this old girl.
Thank you. I truly don't know the speed but she certainly feels like she traveling along at a speed. I will take it out next week and record the speed.
Correct David Brown fitted the sukra cab on the 1290, 1390, 1690 also 1394, 1494 all fitted the sukra cab. Leyland fitted the cab on 702, 802, 804, 904xl. I managed to procure a new/old cab (35 years old) that was in great condtion with only surface rust in some places.
What a beautiful tractor even though I am a db man I could very happily have that working on my place

good cabin. My father bought it 1980, 4 wheel drive shaft was broken after 50 hours. And after that went coupling.
