Thanks for watching guys! Hope you found Jacob's advice helpful and good luck on the rest of your applications! I'll be posting another one of my Stanford supplements tomorrow!
Hey, can you please make a video soon about handling SIX APs, sports, and multiple extracurricular activities you did? I am a senior and for an upcoming quarter (our school has four quarters and each are about nine weeks), I will have four APs (our school has four classes a day). Right now I have two APs and i find it very hard to manage time for many extracurricular activities, so I ended up quitting martial arts and Debate club. I just do this one thing once a week for two hours. After the quarter with four APs, Ii will be back to two again. It is like this because two of my APs are three quarters. I am not a smart student either (I just challenge myself), so maybe have additional tips for that. This would be so amazing for me and for many others who may be in a similar situation as me. Love your videos; keep it up!!
Watching this and hearing, “you should definitely start your essays and applications early”, while I’m here submitting my application and writing my essays for boarding schools on the DUE date 😂 I am definitely ruing my decisions right now.
Hey Josh, I'm a huge fan of your channel! I'm looking to apply as a transfer applicant to Yale, and I was wondering if you can make a video with someone who actually is a transfer or is familiar with the process so that they can provide helpful tips. Thank you!
Question for your next Q and A: what can I do if my grades aren't great? How much do grades matter/what can I do if they do? PS these videos are great!
Would it be possible to have someone who came from a different country who applied and got in. Btw the name was one of my friends who changed it as a joke and I can’t change it yet.
Question for Jacob: I just got matched with Yale through Questbridge, and am fully decided to join the Bulldog Class of 22. I wanted to ask how Questbridge has supported you now at the college, whether it be the QB community or the program itself. Also, is there any way we can contact you, email or something, just to ask more Questbridge questions.
Super Nova I can!!! I actually did it this year and matched with Stanford, but am also applying to Yale RD. Questbridge college match program is basically a program for high school seniors where you, if you become a finalist, can apply to up to 12 high tier colleges for free (!!!) and have a chance to “match” to one for a full 4 year scholarship. It is for low income, high achieving students (usually under $65,000 annual income for a family of 4, I believe). It is a really good opportunity for QB colleges and other colleges to know more of your story and circumstances that can’t always be shown in the limited essay spaces and also gives you the opportunity for a full ride for four years! I personally, wouldn’t have been able to apply to all the schools I was able to without Questbridge, so i May have ended up not even applying to Stanford or Yale without QB!! If you have anymore questions, feel free to message me :)
Lois Williams Thanks a lot. I have a couple of questions : Do you have to get matched to the number 1 college in your rank or can you be matched to any? Does it require separate applications for each college? And can you still apply to other colleges outside of Questbridge? Thanks in advance.
Hey! So yes, you can me matched to any college that you list on your match form. If the #1 on your list doesn’t accept you, you can get matched to #2 or #12, but since you can only get “matched” to one college whatever college is highest on your list you will get matched to and you won’t know if you even got accepted to the other, lower ranked ones. You are not allowed to apply to other private colleges early decision or early action, but you can apply to public colleges or certain colleges that require an early application for certain scholarships. You can apply to any college regular decision but if you get matched to a binding college, you have to withdraw all your applications. I hoped that helped! :)
And yes, you can apply to schools outside of questbridge while doin the match as long as you aren’t applying early decision to any private colleges that violates the terms of the QB national college match agreement!
Lois Williams Thanks again, I'll consider applying to it. And lastly, can you tell me how many AP classes you did and your Standardized test scores, if you don't mind? Congrats on getting into Stanford.
Hi josh, im a big fan of your videos so i have a few questions, what would you say is a competitive gpa , do collages care if you had a bad not so good semester like if you got a c in a pre-ap class , what can i do now since in sophomore year to standout in the collage application process
cj HEARD relax just do e.c that it if you want to start volunteering in sophomore year or already have that great but dont worry about it now also dont stress about the college application till late junior or early senior year
cj HEARD yea but people who overlystress about the college application in sophomore or freshman year are the same people that get rejected from elite schools because everything e.c activities, volunteering and all those stuff are just for the college application you dont want to do
Thanks for watching guys! Hope you found Jacob's advice helpful and good luck on the rest of your applications! I'll be posting another one of my Stanford supplements tomorrow!

Heeey, can you do a video about scholarships pls?? Great video btw
4:48 Thats Jacobs Instagram not his Twitter.
Would it be possible to have someone who came from a different country who applied and got in.
Btw the name was one of my friends who changed it as a joke and I can’t change it yet.
why did he choose Yale over Stanford?
questbridge is binding, so since he put Yale as #1, he had to go there. at least that's how I think it works
Jesse Guzman questbridge is binding for most schools some do allow choice
Jesse Guzman Yale and Stanford are Non-Binding if you do Questbridge.
