Just recently found a bug I think to kill nazeem with no consequences. I originally intended to do it as my one free crime for being just made thane, but, everyone was talking post dragon and I just got away with killing him somehow, no one cared
I once did this on a sabre cat that was pouncing, I actually didn't mean to, but it scared me and I punched it in both of it's saber teeth. It felt cool and actually staggered it
That last one, I actually accidentally did that and all of a sudden I got into a boss fight I wasn't trying to find ;-; I was just exploring and trying to lvl up but nah they give me a random dragon in black reach
I called up that dragon in the black reach because I wanted to see it wreak havoc on the falmer around the map, but it just sort of landed and then sat there and nothing really happened…
Simply hitting the merchant isn't always enough. If it is an ally merchant such as a Thieves Guild fence, you will have to hit them several times for them to become aggressive. It's when they become hostile that resets their inventory.
I really can't image the eldrich horrors lurking in Skyrim code, when attacking a vendor then reloading a save taken before that action resets their inventory, but reloading the exact same save without attacking the does not... _Unless_ it's a developer convenience/testing tool built into the game 😮
@@sneezyfidothat kinda makes since When you change your spell(might be other things) after a save when you die you pointer is on the spell you changed to after the save Speed run glitch acquired*
Being able to save an entire world for just 3 Megabytes is already criminal, Bethesda was insanely cracked being able to figure out near-flawless saving & loading in 2011
When I was a kid I thought you had to get all the crimson nirnroot then use the shout on the big glowing ball, i found them all then summoned the dragon just to find out recently that was not needed haha
The merchant reset inventory isn't strictly tied to hitting the merchants themselves but to have them engage in combat period. If there's another person in the store you can hit them instead and it will work normally as long as they're aggroed before reloading. I discovered this recently when vampires attacked me while I was selling stuff to the Kajith caravan. Another NPC got killed in the fight so I reloaded the save and their inventory and gold was reset as if I had attacked them. On a related note, I was using a mod that had the side effect where some NPCs would never aggro against the player, one of them happened to be the general store owner in Markarth and the trick didn't work with her, no matter how many times I attempted it.
I remeber the last one, shouting at the orb because it looked weird then a names dragon coming out of no where, it was wild at the time. And learning about the inventory resent by being annoyed at the merchant, saving and killing them and reloading, i ised to think you had to kill them for it lol
For the first one, it's actually based on when you gain your bounty I figured this out when Arcadia stopped resetting when I hit her, because she didn't get mad on the first hit, therefore no bounty
yeah and if you leave the giant alive he'll do most of the heavy lifting fighting it. I decided to engage cuz falmer were whittling him down, i arrowed a couple, healings hands him and ran like hell, worked, we gave each other a wide berth till the dragon. he clubs it dead and just gives me this look like an embarrassed parent and finished his stroll.
I knew the merchant and Dwarven Sun Ball shout(That's what it is called in ESO you can have it in your house) but didn't know about the bow hit cuz I used it once and was like" I have a bow, you shouldn't have gotten this far!" And then rethink my character 😂😂
Or you can aggro the merchant, use a calm spell, and hit some type of load screen or time skip. Example: hit the merchant to gain aggro, calm them, then use the wait button to wait at least 2 hrs for the load screen to register, or simply just open up a door to hit a different loadzone if the wait doesnt register (thiers needs to be a delay on the wait). This is safer and faster than reloading a dave mid game. Whenever you load a save waly in the game, the games engine has a tendency to reset certian flags and registers, which can lead to some game breaking and quest vreaking bugs (in vanilla skyrim) in modded skyrim it can cause a whole lot of new issues. Always close application and relaunch game if you ever want to load a save, especially on any modded playthrough.
Wow, I'm stunned. I ACTUALLY didn't know about the first two!! I'm playing in VR, so I can probably punch with the bow and fire an arrow at the same time lol. You can also shield bash while still holding the shield up. Taking this further, you can add an element to it, so for example, you can have Lightning Bolt in your right hand so when you shield bash you will shock them. You can also double the speed of lock picking. You can open barred doors from the other side. Take things from locked display cases without unlocking them Teleport Move quickly while over encumbered Trick shot arrows You can swing your weapons unbelievably fast I literally could go on.
In blackreach hidden boss is very old, everyone knows it! Even I restarted playing akyrim from lv1 many times visiting the same place and killing the same hidden dragon.
While the game is very old, there's always going to be someone who hasn't done something that the general gaming community knows. There's still people who don't know you can exit Helgen at the start without cheating. Skipping the whole dungeon and shaving off 10 minutes of play time.
After I flee Helgen I take a cart to Dawnstar I raid the hidden chest and do this move over and over again with the merchants until im around level 35. Then I start the quests.
I am a new player but if you go naked to that one fancy cloth place in solitude u can get a quest to get a cloth there and ask the blue palace women how it looks like
It work with the crossbows too and if the enemy has low health theres a change you get a killmove with it, i dont know if is part of the crossbow or just a bug
There's a faster way to reset their inventory after you buy what they have now auto save turn the game on and off the inventory is reset with out the hit you do you and I will do me
It's the "Her Hand" armor from the "Ghosts of the Tribunal" creation on the creation club. It's included as part of the Anniversary Edition and its pretty goddamn sick.
They added an update to make the ai seem irritated if you constantly reset after hitting them. So yeah, fix the bug? Nah. Guilt the player into not cheating? $$$$

Regarding the bow melee, it also works if get ready to aim, cancel and IMMIDIATELY melee strike as well
I once did this on a sabre cat that was pouncing, I actually didn't mean to, but it scared me and I punched it in both of it's saber teeth. It felt cool and actually staggered it
now here's my favorite part. Is it intentional or is it a byproduct of some spaghetti interaction in the code? You never know with skyrim
That last one, I actually accidentally did that and all of a sudden I got into a boss fight I wasn't trying to find ;-; I was just exploring and trying to lvl up but nah they give me a random dragon in black reach

Simply hitting the merchant isn't always enough. If it is an ally merchant such as a Thieves Guild fence, you will have to hit them several times for them to become aggressive. It's when they become hostile that resets their inventory.
The NPC’s gold also refreshes when you save, hit them and reload, so you can sell everything you have to one merchant all in one go if you wanted to
Anyone who's watched The Spiffing Brit's Skyrim videos knows how to reset vendor inventory lol. It's loads of fun!
Ha! He tought me to do so as well
That were days man...
Let's just hope Reano Keaves stays in Skyrim.
Ah, yes. The ‘ol “you don’t have what I was looking for so I’m aggro ing the whole town” Strat
This works in real life too!
The first one only works when you agro them. If they don't get mad when you hit them, it won't reset
It's also a surefire way to corrupt your savegame.

I like to imagine the reason why the melee bow attack becomes stronger is because your hitting the arrow which goes deeper into the enemy
That first one is an example of what's known as "Bethesda magic".
Did you know that stealth Archer is quite op too, just adding to the things no one knew 😂

This is exactly why I go to Belethor last, so when I have to do the refresh loop I can just boop him over and over. Dude's annoying.
I’m sure everyone knew the false sun dragon fight, as almost everyone loves to spam that shout at anything and everything, well maybe not everyone.
