I have been tested for twice and the first time I was Amber honey which was a great match but that was tooo orangey and then I was matched as rich chestnut which seemed PERFECT for me... but then I tried my sister's Rich caramel which looked bomb af on me I still haven't bought it because I'm just confused at this point.
5C1 is dead-on but it doesn't give you any warmth which you can always add that. 5N2 oxidizes so I'd be careful with that as well. They both looked great but one could be your winter color and the other for the summer. Also, check out 5N1.5 Maple. It's new. :)
The way you described your undertones has me thinking we're the same skin tone. Olive with neutral undertones? That's me, and when you liked 5n2 better than 5c1 because 5c1 matched but it looked dull .... That's often how olives describe our skintone when other colours around it are more saturated. 5c1 only looked dull because you put 5n2, if they dont oxidise too much 5c1 is your colour.
I have the same problems with finding foundations (must be Haitian probs 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹). I’m warm/neutral. Mostly olive undertones with a splash of golden and a dash of red. I have both of those shades as well. I prefer 5n2 amber honey for myself. 5c1 is a backup shade. Both look great on you too but definitely 5n2
1608Mirabeaute hey how did u find your undertone? I have done the vein test thing and jewerly and they blue greenish. I wear bobbi brown in cool almond. I got too faced in chestnut other day and it matches well.
Like I own fenty in 400 its a lil cool on me and I have 420 a lil red n i did the sephora skin test and it matches 410. Which I been proposing for the longest. So I plan on getting 410 eventually
1608Mirabeaute I'm Haitian as well and have that same problem. In Fenty I'm 400, Mac NC50, and Estee Lauder Double Wear I'm in Amber Honey. Those are the closest to my skin tone but none are exact.
Alima Wilson hey I’m a little late in watching this video but I wanted to respond to you because 6.25 in B.B. is also my perfect shade. So we’re actually warm but we lean on the neutral side of warm so we can sometimes even wear neutral shades because we’re not extremely yellow. I actually use 370 in Fenty because 390 is too warm and turns orange on me. If you want I can give you some of my shade ranges because I’m a foundation lover. My recent faves are Marc Jacobs, Dior, and LaMer (I know it’s ridiculously expensive).
Hi there - I'm going to go get the samples today - I was thinking my color was about the 5N2 as well... I'm about the same color as you. Have you tried the TruBlend Matte by covergirl? I haven't checked out your other videos yet...so forgive me if you have and posted. I bought the shade D30 - bronze....I'm not really sure...it seems too neutral....very little yellow in it. Let me know if you have and your shade....many thanks..
I didn't know this was meant to be good for oily skin, when I reviewed it on my channel it was making my skin look super oily and I've combination skin :(
5c1 matched dead on! Once you add highlight and bronzer it’ll add the warmth to your face may as well start with a good color match.
Never mind the makeup, I wish my skin was as clear as yours.
I have the same stuggle. Hardly wear foundation because the color is off. I tried 5N2 an hour later Straight Burnt Orange!
Definitely 5N2
5c matches perfectly

Thandiwe Mthombeni omg me to I've been bouncing between those 3 n I'm just overwhelmed and confused
Story of my life🥺 amber honey is orange n rich chestnut looks ok but a bit white🙆
Remember we have different skin tones throughout the seasons
No makeup look 5C1! For a very natural makeup look 5N2! I think I will go with 5N2 for myself.

Thanks for the heads up girly!! ❤️

I bought the 5n2 today and it was a perfect match. It looks great on you too!
They both look good. I fully agree with your analysis!
5n2 😃
We're both Haitian and we're both Jackie Aina fans so, yeah. New subbie.
Thank you boo 😘😘😘
5n2
I don’t like this makeup it make everybody look ashy they need to take it off the shelves and remake it
You are so right!!!! I’ve been trying so hard to find a match and no matter what I do I end up ashy with Estee Lauder.
5c1 looks like the best match. You should’ve tried it with the highlighting, etc
5c1 matches your neck and chest
