I've had a scare last December, but turns out that I was negative when I got tested. Although I am negative, I take being "safe" very seriously. Not bash anyone who's living with it by any means. You people are BRAVE! My love, and respect goes to everyone who is living with this. Hope for some sort of cure, if there even is one, but I doubt it.
I've been positive for 14 years. It's been a ride. Bad and good. But I feel resilient and having gone through the party scene and come out the other end, a little jaded, but relatively in one piece. Thanks for sharing.

A very emotional video and thank you for sharing and opening up about something so personal. I remember when I seroconverted (though at the time I just thought it was a random, bad illness). I was extremely weak and had black grit like substance in my mouth. I did go in to hospital as it was a routine Oncology appointment (I was diagnosed with cancer 2 years prior to being diagnosed with HIV). They could see how unwell I was but all they did for me was give me Corsodyl mouthwash, and so I remained undiagnosed for a further 6 months. After my HIV diagnosis I went through the same withdrawal and feelings of shame for a few months after. That was just over 5 years ago for me. After going through cancer and living with HIV I am a much stronger person than I was before. I still fear rejection and worry about the stigma surrounding HIV which is why I am not very open about it. I can understand the bravery it must have taken you to open up about your status, thank you for doing so, and let's hope this has a positive impact on many others.

I’m 16 and I am already joining the club I literally am up at 2 in the morning and I just figured out today (same day I got really bad symptoms out of no where) this video is very comforting and I would much rather hear this before I face telling my parents who were just telling me I was disgusting for having my first time less than a year ago I don’t know how I’m supposed to tell my friend’s hiv is literally a joke at our school I was gonna wait till after I tested with the free test but my mouth hurt to bad so I told her this morning and she told me to “get the fuck out of her room” so I don’t know what’s gonna happen 🤷♂️

I’m 16 and I am already joining the club I literally am up at 2 in the morning and I just figured out today (same day I got really bad symptoms out of no where) this video is very comforting and I would much rather hear this before I face telling my parents who were just telling me I was disgusting for having my first time less than a year ago
