After watching so many interviews with people bashing their colleagues, Hacksaw is a breath of fresh air. A really classy guy who doesn't seem to hold grudges and has a great aura of positivity. Great interview!
OMG!!! YESSS!!!! “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan!!! He’s one of my favorite wrestlers, my father, brother and I would literally scream “HOOOOOOO!!!!!” when he would come down to the squared circle. Awesome interview, Hannibal!!! Thank you 🙏
I’m literally binging on these interviews. I’m obsessed with the 80s wrestling scene!!! Especially seeing your favorite superstars sharing their stories… ❤️
Hacksaw seems to be genuinely a good person. Honest and very humble with the way he says things. He doesn't really talk crap about anyone. This interview is gold. All the best to you Mr. Duggan!
Love you Hacksaw, my kid brother and I just loved you when you came on TV in our country in 1988, really enjoyed your Hall of Fame Induction.... total class, beautiful family, God Bless ya Sir, thanks for the entertainment, excitement, enjoyment and inspiration to work out.
This was a great interview. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, it's not just an act with him, so that was nice to see as a fan. What impressed me was how wise he was. He accepts and appreciates life as it is.
Thank you.I watched mid south wrestling as a child. Hacksaw was a part of that,People(douchebags) like to hate on hacksaw buy you just have to listen to him to understand hacksaw may not be the greatest in some peoples eyes but hes been around....and seen much
Met Hacksaw at a minor league baseball game back in 2011. My buddy and I stood over at his table up in the concourse during the game, drank beer and talked about 90's WCW, etc. with him for several innings, and even got some sweet pics with him. BY FAR the most fan-friendly superstar I have ever met. I wish I could have him over for a BBQ or something sometime.
It's going to be a sad day when Hacksaw heads off into the sunset for the last time. He's always struck me as a genuinely good man in a world severely lacking in that department.
I bumped into him in a restaurant and few years ago I'm staring at him like where do i know this guy from then I screamed it while he was eating with his wife they smiled I went over got a quick picture really nice guy!
Yup! I always enjoy Hannibal's interviews, but he does try to rope guys in for "dirt" when he can, which of course is the shoot-interview business, but Duggan stayed kind, generous, and "that's not any of my business," the whole way through. Absolutely a real professional and class act in the old-school way!
Man's a beast. state champ wrestler, football player, tough guy, big time. 6'3 280, not many fucking with him back in the day. Seems like a cool guy too.
Briefly met Hacksaw around 1990 at the Richfield Coliseum outside The Land. Total sweetheart of a man, and incredibly patient with fans. He will always be a favorite.
When I was growing up I must admit I hated Duggan as a wrestler and a character-pretty much thought he was useless though of course I could see people especially kids loved him-however this interview is great and I am really impressed with how with it and well spoken he is today. Hats off to you Duggan-I now see you in a new light and it makes me happy to see how well you are doing!
He played the American play with genius. He grafted the character and had the physique to handle it.Thank you Jim for all you have done.Watch over you family as always...
Thanks you Hannibal once again. You have great interviews, brother. Just like your Hillbilly Jim interview, that I watched this morning, this really took me back.
Not gonna get too many likes with that comment Billy. It's hard to like/respect a guy when everyone who worked for him thinks he was an absolute piece of S***.
This was well worth an hour and 10 minutes of my day. Hacksaw Jim Duggan will always be one of the greatest performers in wrestling history. I think people that know him probably say I'm glad he's my friend not because he'll protect my back but just because he's a good man👍👍.
Can't believe I sat down through the entire interview. It's great. Great Job to the interviewer, you let Jim Duggan tell his stories without interrupting.
Awesome interview 👍... thank you Hacksaws for all the awesome memories my friend...I got an autograph wrestling card of Jim... 🏆...good to see that he and Geno got along and that Geno helped him ...Geno was an incredible wrestling talent..a good hand to...
Well. I sure came away with a different opinion about Jim Duggan than I used to have. He is is an intelligent, well-spoken, amiable guy who seems very genuine and humble. Thanks for an excellent interview and vid.
Listening to these old guy talk about the business and various other stories is quite fascinating. Many are so much different than I would've imagined watching them as a kid.
I was never a fan of Jim Dugan, but this is a great interview. Hannibal you are the best-of-the-best interviewer on UA-cam. Always great questions and you are always so thoughtful and well informed. Really great job!
I had the fortune of meeting his parents when I was a kid at an Albany River Rats vs. Adirondack Red Wings AHL hockey game at the then Pepsi Arena. Adirondack was Glens Falls team and they were fans. At the time I was a huge wrestling fan and remember being just as excited as if he'd been there himself lol.
ahhh childhood memories... Hacksaw always made me feel good when he came through the curtain.. I was all smiles every time I saw him wrestle :) good shoot and good wishes to him.
Prolly the best shoot I've seen..no hatin or reason to try and get heat decades later.. for the most part had good things to say about everybody and when it came to a situation where he had a problem with somebody he just told what the issue was with no extras on it.. very entertaining!! This man is solid as well as a ICON!!! He never was my favorite or anything but ya just had to appreciate it!! USA!! USA!! USA!!!

Great interview for a great talent HackSaw was a light hearted gimmick Jim had been perfecting over years in several of the territory's. Just a nice guy who looks at his career the way all should he had fun, made some money got to travel all over the world and has a positive attitude towards the Wrestling business and fellow Wrestlers. Regardless of what the so called experts have to say you know the experts who have never stepped foot in the ring yes regardless Hacksaw was OVER for years and the fans are never ever wrong Jim had a legendary career. I met Jim at the only Con Oklahoma City had. He was not listed so when I heard his, "Hooo", I found him quickly. Great guy who I prayed for during his cancer scare. Hope he is in the best of health now and enjoying life to the full.
Can't even remember one match Brett had in WCW? His time there was a disappointment but the Benoit/Hart match in memory of Owen is one of the all time greats and every fan truly watching then remembers.
Reading through these comments and most say the same thing I want to, Jim seems like a really good man, no complaining or speculation about his co-workers. He just comes off as an awesome dude.
Hacksaw.. what a gentleman... wow.. i loved the interview. He did not have any harsh things to say. The guy is not bitter of any thing and is friends with all and at the same time ''not the office boy of the company''. Wow.. it was riveting stuff... i am in my 50's and jeez; am i still living my childhood? Stay blessed Jim.
I met him and Jake the snake Roberts at the Japanese restaraunt in a Howard Johnsons in Revere,Ma. They were both really cool and more than happy to sign a few autographs. This was back in 1991 I believe.
Hacksaw, very candid, open and honest. I enjoyed his stories and opinions on today's wrestling ( not sports entertainment, yes it's still considered wrestling to some people). I miss the good old days of real wrestling not this new era of runway models, flashy entrances that take 20 minutes for a match to start ( just get in the ring already). Too much talk and not enough wrestling. So it was nice to go down memory lane with Duggan, he looks like he can still throw people around. I hope to see more of the real "wrestlers" talking old school.
Hacksaw is a really good guy and down to earth. I met him and Road Warrior Animal at a GNC promotional appearance. Both were friendly, I spoke to them for about 5 minutes, really cool guys to talk to.

He has no illusions about how he should have been a great long term champ, like so many do. He knew he had a great career and is happy with that.
I second that @Devastator
It's going to be a sad day when Hacksaw heads off into the sunset for the last time. He's always struck me as a genuinely good man in a world severely lacking in that department.
Man wrestlers give great interviews, Duggan is perfect example.

i like how much of a big smile he has when talking about jake getting better via ddp
Yep, some genuine affection there.
Hacksaw is overlooked for being a tough guy, but in his prime he was one of the toughest guys ever in wrestling.
He was at his best in Mid South. Hard as nails.
@Sweepy57 Says the guy with 'Sweepy' as a handle...
@Sweepy57 lmao, i doubt he gives a fuck what you think, hes got money in the bank..
