acoustic music like this is amazing, it is like the music is speaking. Cant find any other type of music that touches me as for example metallica's acoustic does. It calms me down.
Just proves they don’t have to a have screaming guitar to still be the best. Even acoustic Kirk still rocked that solo. Goosebumps all over. Outstanding!
In this song is amazing the way James is concentrated in the notes of his voice and his fingers seem to play the string by a second brain, I mean his fingers play the guitar by theirself alone. Incredible !. I love MetallicA.
It's the fact that Metallica plays their songs better live than in a studio(almost no band or singer can do that with every song they have :D), that makes them the best band in the world!!! Thumbs up if you agree!! MetallicA Forever! \m/
this is great \m/ not only that they play good music since day one but they show what is music all about and that they are not only a band but good frends to and i salut that kinde of band who dont give a shit about what aney body else thinks as long as they are haveing a good time and thats gold for me in music that you play what your heart feels :D
This is amazing, they played Fade To Black like it should be played, softly, but with also that heavy feeling in the song. I love the dark ffeeling you get from this version
they had sentimental value. Imagine something that you love and care for more than anything else in this world....then it gets taken from you. Thats kinda what they felt.
METALLICA FOREVER - they may not play the fastest, the craziest, the heaviest, they ARE the mesuring stick for metal to this very day and in my oppinion, the greatest guitarists that ever lived....
this is truly good music. i know alot of people get pissed because they think that metallica went too commercial but actually what they did was expand there musical talent and went with what felt right that makes them open minded
This video depicts what is missing from rock music today...raw skills..years ago we were inspired by not only how good the music sounded..but how skilled the guitarists were...now you would have trouble naming 5 new guitarists from the new generation of bands..
They would be a perfect band to play on that old show, Unplugged. Their really good with acoustic guitars! This performance is freakin' Amazing! Thanks for posting this! :3
It's from a show they (and others) did to raise money for the Bridge School in San Fransico in October 1997. They're playing again this year for the same cause. The set list from that performance was: Low Man's Lyric Helpless Tuesday's Gone Poor Twisted Me Fade to Black The Four Horsemen Nothing Else Matters Last Caress
Man these guys are soo good. I hate how people are like, "Metallica sucks, they went acoustic, blah blah blah." Its still fucking amazing, and it shows that their diverse as well.
Finally a vid of an acoustic version of fade to black. It is one of the best acoustic songs i have heard. Next to Tesla's cover of Signs and Pantera's cover of Planet Caravan. \M/ Rock on \M/
WOW...Kirk sounds amazing on that clean electric, he sounds so soulful, beautiful and emotional wielding the axe. Incredible song by an incredible band...LONG LIVE METALLICA!!!
And why is that? 1. They both have passion. 2. They're both great pieces of work. 3. It's a free country w/ freedom of speech. 4. There's nothing wrong w/ my opinion, so keep your's to yourself if you intend on insulting me. 5. Both of them are my favorites. 6. Everything about them has reason. 7. There's nothing you can do to stop me. 8. There is no reason for me to not compare them. 9. I'm sure this comment is going to get negative numbers. 10. No one from Metallica said I can't.
i seen them play like a 5-6 song acoustic set in '98, when i seen them at the old pine knob ampitheater in michigan. awesome show. and they sound great regardless if it's electric or acoustic.
acoustic music like this is amazing, it is like the music is speaking. Cant find any other type of music that touches me as for example metallica's acoustic does. It calms me down.
Don't know if you're still around but check out Alice in Chains Unplugged.

The filming is quite old but the quality of the sound is too damn good; The Best are always the best!!!
damm right
This is the BEST of Metallica Acoustic, and that SPAIN Guitar OwNz All!!! Great feeling of Kirk, Jason is amazing too!!!
the acoustic intro and verse really gives the song the studio version feel which i think give's it a more somber type of feeling to the song. love it!
The best band of all times, the gift of music in your hands and heart!
The magic of a live performance ! !
I think the video quality gives it a brilliant feel
As far as music history....This is literally GOLD. Thanks for preserving it.
In this song is amazing the way James is concentrated in the notes of his voice and his fingers seem to play the string by a second brain, I mean his fingers play the guitar by theirself alone. Incredible !.

@@lilyswal3682 she has to
they were feeling sad,
James felt like writing a sad song.
the song is not about the instruments, that's just what made it happen
It's always amazing when a song brings you to tears..
Jason Newsted rocking the acoustic bass!
ah,right...that's in 1955...meallica opens an Elvis concert,yah
Didn't know Metallica was a band in the 20s
amazing, metallica acoustic
It's the fact that Metallica plays their songs better live than in a studio(almost no band or singer can do that with every song they have :D), that makes them the best band in the world!!! Thumbs up if you agree!!

Metallica is another band that people will hear until the earth is gone...
Metallica 4Ever
Kirk's picking skills is godlike
I knew Fade to Black sounded amazing with an acoustic guitar. I been just playing it to myself thinking I was insane for playing it on acoustic.
this is great \m/ not only that they play good music since day one but they show what is music all about and that they are not only a band but good frends to and i salut that kinde of band who dont give a shit about what aney body else thinks as long as they are haveing a good time and thats gold for me in music that you play what your heart feels :D

How old are u now??
I can simply die with this song ! Amazing
This is amazing, they played Fade To Black like it should be played, softly, but with also that heavy feeling in the song. I love the dark ffeeling you get from this version
Esta cinta vale oro
Man.....how can a song be so good....damn. Love it so much.
I think every one here love this song.
The chills...
I do not wanna die yet! I wish i could hear Metallica and exactly this live version forever.
they had sentimental value. Imagine something that you love and care for more than anything else in this world....then it gets taken from you. Thats kinda what they felt.

Very Fucking Good
METALLICA FOREVER - they may not play the fastest, the craziest, the heaviest, they ARE the mesuring stick for metal to this very day and in my oppinion, the greatest guitarists that ever lived....

The fact that Metallica never did MTV Unplugged is one of the great injustices of our era.

debe ser como del 97,
para el concierto benefico que se realizó tambien el 2007 y en donde metallica nuevamente participó.

Best intro to a song ever.
the songs i like most by them are songs like this, Mama Said, The Day that Never Comes, and The Unforgiven I and II
I LOVE METALLICA!!! ...
and the world stays speachless...
your right man, don't let anyone tell you otherwise! Jason had charisma and brought a new thing to the band (backing vocals etc.)

It's from a show they (and others) did to raise money for the Bridge School in San Fransico in October 1997. They're playing again this year for the same cause.
The set list from that performance was:
Low Man's Lyric
Helpless
Tuesday's Gone
Poor Twisted Me
Fade to Black
The Four Horsemen
Nothing Else Matters
Last Caress
Great!! Metallica ever the best
Just one word:
Awesome!
But I don't think this word is enough to describe that solo!
\m/
Man these guys are soo good. I hate how people are like, "Metallica sucks, they went acoustic, blah blah blah." Its still fucking amazing, and it shows that their diverse as well.
