Too few people understand that it is about so much more than the shot. The fact that Randy and his crew do understand that and make it a point to highlight it is why I have watched and followed him and his crew for so many years. Please keep doing what you do!
Thank you. It is great to hear that our joy of time spent together comes through in the videos. If I never fill another elk tag, I've had my share. But, if I never get to share an elk camp with dear family and friends, my life would be pretty hollow.

Dang I’m 20 years old and just getting into filming hunts and doing what you do Randy, And when I hit your age if Im lucky enough to do that. I hope I’m still hunting with good buddies like you do. Truly what it’s about awesome film!

That is the true value of these hunts. This one had a lot of fine frosting for Scott to take such a fine bull.
When people ask why I hunt I always try to express the importance of waking up the forest at first light, the joy of being in the woods and most important, sharing those wonders with good friends that appreciate the same joys of the outdoors. My best hunting partner, my dad, passed on the 26 of July and what I will miss the most is being in the woods hunting with him. This time last year we were in Montana for a deer and elk hunt and I never thought it would be the last time that I hunted with him. Seeing all of you with Scott reminded me of the unbelievable feeling of best friends in the field enjoying something that is known only to those that have been in the field with best friends and family.

Idaho is my wife's home state. Back when non-residents could easily get a tag I had some of the best hunts of my life!!! I miss those days.

I don't know what I was the most excited about this hunt,,weather it was all the elk, or the way everyone came together to look for animal that was worthy,, and then there was Scott's moment with his ELK
That's what we think. Sometimes, it all just comes together. In this case, it came together for a great guy with a great bull.

That's such an impressive bull...congratulations Scott. But Randy's right. Its about the relationships and the memories that go far beyond, and last far longer, than the kill itself. You could see the history between these men. Now that's hunting.

Yes, all the friends added a lot to this hunt for Scott, and for all of us.
That's what it's all about right there. I have a limited entry hunt in Utah (I've waited 17years for. One of the top 2 or 3 tags in Utah) coming up in a couple weeks. This entire episode is how I picture it and hope it scripts. Oh and hopefully we'll be lucky enough to see some good bulls too.

Amazing video. I was lucky enough to go with a buddy for my first hunt in AZ Unit 1 where we were able to harvest a nice 6 point bull. Unfortunetly that friendship was taken away from me recently so I'm trying to look forward to making new hunting memories with new freinds. Thanks for the video.
