Thanks a lot. I replaced 2 damaged resistors and everything works. In my case sometimes error 12 appeared, other times it loaded the dashboard but still didn't read the games. I will add that I unsoldered the resistors from the 3.5 inch hard drive. I give it a thumbs up and sub.
I have a similar problem, the console gives error 12 and won't move forward, when I try to open the dvd drive it won't open, do you think my problem could be related to these capacitors or could it be something else? If I disassemble the DVD drive it opens and closes but the error persists.

Thanks for the tip, and congratulations on the work! Could you make a video showing how to calibrate the Samsung laser? My Xbox keeps showing a reading error but it is already clean and lubricated, but I don't know how to calibrate the laser. Can you help?
There are a few guides on how to adjust the pots, but you'll want to use a multimeter to help make the adjustments. Be sure to note the values of the pots before you start adjusting them. I may make a video on it in the future. Adjusting the pots is time consuming and doesn't always bear fruit. Good luck!
My 1.0 xbox had error vode 07, put the drive in anoyher xbox and got error code 12, put a good dvd drive in both and both booted up fine, started testing those resistors and tried it again and it worked fine. Idk how it fixed itself
@@RetroRenegadeRepairs just take the belt off and put it in boiling water for half hour, clean the drive cogs while it's soaking then put the belt back in and bob's your uncle
I have seen that done, but I prefer to replace the belt, clean the internals of the drive, relube the gears and rails. When I do this type of stuff for customers I don't want to leave any reason for a repaired or refurbished console to come back under warranty.
anyone have a part number for these resistors for people that dont have a spare? i was able to make some 33ohm resisrotrs using standard resistors but i want to fix ith a smd resistors
The general characteristics for the resistors are in the description. As long as you pick one that matches the specs you should be able to use any manufacturers resistors.

True. It didn't even get that far though, the drive needs to be lubed and cleaned.
