“budget” is crazy 🥴😂
You can definitely pick up a v-mount battery off Amazon for cheaper, but reliability and feature set is questionable. When I say “budget” I’m more-so speaking in comparison to some of the industry leaders like “Anton Bauer”. Definitely a lot more budget friendly for what you can comparatively get.
@@YCImaging have u tried the Neewer 99 watt v mount? . i always see reviews on the smallrig one but the neewer is actually good
Can you do monitors next?
Lots of this gears are budget compared to their counterparts.
I’m throwing all my old batts out & scooping this now 🔥
That transition at 3:50 is crazy. Love your work brutha!👊🏽
This vid was right on time. I’m researching batteries right now. I have an older coreswx battery and want to grab another battery for my 2nd camera. Thanks again for your expertise on this topic.
I have the VB99 and love it. Great vid.
Good suggestion! I've been looking for a V-Mount to power my Apurture Light Storm.
Great video I like what you’re doing 👍🏾
*I have the V50 and the Anker Power Bank along with a smaller anker travel an that's all I need. Love these things and glad I learned a bit more b4 I bought the one I have*
I love my Smallrig 99!
Imma say these aren’t budget but dope ! Now I just got the NPF smallrig batteries and they are really dope. Used them on a wedding today and powered both my S5II and Portkeys LH7P both all day with just two of the NP-F970 and they remind me of the mini version of the VB99.
The VB99 Pro is awesome. I can power the R5C and Ninja V+ simultaneously.
For how long does the vb99 last in hours?
great review !
how long would it be able to power an amaran f22c lite mat and would it be able to power it at full intensity?
also wondering this about the aputure 300d lI
Just picked up 2 of the VB99 batteries and the V-Mount plate, and I'm so excited about them. I learned the hard way though that you have to have a fast charging capable USB-C cable to power things (powered a Sony FX3 rig and monitor with it for 6 hours). The best feature of these batteries is that you can charge them with USB-C, instead of an expensive and bulky v-mount battery charger!
What you mean fast charging cable.., you mean like thunderbolt or usb 4 cable to charge the battery?
Just getting into the camera rig word and how do I got about choosing the right size battery? Any advice would be appreciated
I have the VB155 and use on my dji arms for the gimbal, how can i put this behind my camera
You think those are strong enough to power lights?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Small MINOR issue with the new SmallRig Pro batteries is that the USB-C out is really finicky with USB-C extension cables. I own both the original SmallRig VB50 and the new VB99 Pro. The older VB50 is able to power my LED light with a USB-C extension cable. But the same light and extension cable combo won't work with the newer VB99 Pro. Other than that, it's great but only if you can find it on sale under $200 USD. Otherwise, I'd just save up a bit more and get the newer Core SWX NanoX batteries.
Neewer has a really good one as well if you want something cheaper
I bought a Neewer V-mount battery, and the D-tap port stopped working after just two weeks of use...
Don't buy neweer batteries ever
Can’t justify the price just for 140w pd when I can get 4 of the 99s for the same price
First algorythm comment 😅
Way too bulky. The 99 is perfect for my compact rig preference
Budget😂😂
