In the 39th measure ( 3:09 ) , I play the 10 on the first string as 15 on the 2nd string. Same note but on a different string. This is more practical than how it's tabbed but unfortunately I forgot to correct it in the tab and at the time, I didn't proof read my tabs as carefully as I do nowadays. Apologies for the inconvenience!
Dude, don’t even sweat that, but thx for noticing. You’re incredible, I’ve learned how to play so many songs from your videos. Thank you for all your hard work!
Damn, you’re a criminally underrated channel. Always uploading a new song that make us want to play. Thanks for the amazing and I’m sure time consuming work! It’s always appreciated!!!
Brotha! Idk why or how it took me this long to discover the perfect solo lesson for this, but thank the six string gods I did! Learned the rest of it by ear a number of years ago, Always missing the solo.... until now that is lol. Awesome video!
just wanted you to know that since i started watching your videos every time i go to tune my guitar i tell myself "so..get yourself in tune" haha great lesson, thank you
I think this might be the most efficient and effective guitar tutorial I’ve seen. Going to put it to the test and see if I can actually learn a song now
The tab I was going off of said that the E string wasn't PM druing the 0 7 00 7 00 7 parts. Thank for clearing that up for me. I knew it didn't sound right
Hey man hope you see my message ! Just wanna say I’m a big fan of you and hopefully one day I’ll be as good as you! No, better than you! Keep doing great videos you’re my legend.
Hey man! I'm glad you liked the tutorial and sorry for the late reply. I don't know if you've got the answer to your question on your own but I figure there's no harm in typing out a response. I am down picking all the 0s on the low E with the exception of the gallops. A gallop is two sixteenth notes and then an eighth note and are generally played with a picking pattern of down,up, down. It's important to mention here that gallops don't quite fit into the alternate picking idea because if you have to gallops after each other, you'll want to simply repeat the pattern. Two consecutive gallops would be (Down Up Down) (Down Up Down) and NOT (Down Up Down) (Up Down Up). So in this case in Intro 2, it's an upstroke on all the notes on the A string (with the exception of 9 12 10 9 part at the end) , a downstroke on all the eighth note 0s, and a Down Up Down combo for the gallops.
Sorry for the late reply! First up, it's important to mention that I'm using software for my tone. I connect my guitar to my laptop through an audio interface. There, the signal is processed through an amp and effects simulation software called Bias FX (Older version). There are two tones used in this video. The rhythm and the lead. In case you want the details, I showcase the "virtual" set-ups for these two tones in this video: ua-cam.com/video/JELOdpRk_0Q/v-deo.html Now copying this set-up with analog amps and effects may be a bit too much hassle. What I'd recommend to mimicking these tones in a simple manner using analog gear: 1-Lead tone: Just make sure you have the core effects and tweak them to your liking. The effects are: chorus, reverb, delay, and distortion. You can do without the chorus if you'd like and distortion can technically come from the amp rather than a separate pedal. 2-Rhythm Tone: I think a scooped mids sound is closest to the rhythm tone in terms of that crunch. You'll want to mid frequencies lower than your low and high frequencies on the amp. Experiment to see what sounds best. Be sure to also experiment with pick-up switching. I'm generally on the bridge pick-up for the rhythm in my videos. For lead, it depends on the solo/lead line. I never use the middle position.
Sorry about that! What likely happened is that I initially tabbed it as a 10 on the first string, but when I got to playing it, I decided that playing that same note but on the 2nd string as a 15 is much more practical from a technical perspective and forgot to change it in the tab. Thanks for letting me know about this!
I see you keep resetting your pick, I do the same, thought maybe I was doing something wrong.. I find its those dbls to triplets that cause that for me.
To clarify any possible misunderstanding: A good way to play this is using mainly upstrokes for the notes on the 5th string and keeping the down strokes to the 6th string pedal note 0. This is what I'm doing in the video.

Haha, that is awesome man! Funny to hear that my catch phrases are catchy. Glad to help and thank you for the support!
Never realized how weak my alternate picking was till I tried learning this song haha.
It's a pretty tough song. Though being able to play it is a ton of fun.
Me too
Did you know that this song is played mostly with downpicking? 😅 makes this song even harder with guitar if you want to play it right.

Thank you so much this helped me a lot
Glad it helped!
Love your tutorials. Great video.
Glad you like them and thank you!
Thank you for the tutorial. For the intro 2 (around 1:10) are you alternate picking all those low e string eight notes, or just the sixteenth notes?

My god, almost discouraging. Subscribed.
Thanks man!
This song was pretty tough to play.
sheeeeesh
any chance you can share your secret on how you get your tones, i can never get them to sound that good idk if its my set up or how i have it set up

Question, on bar 39 when it goes to 10 is that tabbed wrong? i never see you hit the 10 note looks like a 15

@@MZguitar no worries! Yeah I figured it out by watching you play haha much more practical
how much cost ur eletric guittar?
Around 270$
Did you block your tremolo?
No, but I probably should. I've been putting it off since ages...
Hello my friend.... please tabs - Sabaton- defense of moscow
Parsing the song please
I'll probably do it this month. Maybe sooner than later but I'm not very sure.
@@MZguitar thanks 😊

I'm not quite sure I understand what you mean by resetting the pick. Do you mean that I switch the way I'm holding the pick for different parts?
Rippin'
Thanks man!
That chugging part after the intro is a nightmare
Are you down picking the whole thing?
