- This walk goes through a cold and rainy Hamburg. It was sunny on this video: • Walking in HAMBURG / G... .
Here we start at the Main Station and go direction Alster river and around the Kunsthalle. We enter the inner city, head to the Chilehaus before going over to the Speicherstadt.
The streets are quiet on this rainy evening. We pass several churches, the city hall and end the walk near the St. Nicholas' Church that serves as a memorial for World War II.

Only for like 3-4 months of the year. This looks like it was filmed in the middle of winter.
Perhaps the idea is a bit “freaky”, but then the author of the video walks through the streets of Hamburg that survived after WWII, the soul is immediately full of harmony, a sense of genuine beauty, tranquility and comfort... On the contrary, walking through the streets with modern or often ultra-modern buildings causes discomfort, a sense of loss of something important and sadness... Probably, this is just my feelings, undoubtedly modern architecture very important for a dynamically developing city, and nevertheless, I can not get rid of such feelings...(!)

@@LuriTV The thing is that this is not only my thoughts, there is such a sad saying in Germany itself: "Our cities are now like a eaten chicken egg, there is a rapid construction of new buildings on the outskirts, and in the center there is a certain emptiness in the sense of a small number of historical buildings and structures that were destroyed by bombing during the World War II"…

Why do you always walk fast at the most random times? I know some of them is to catch the walking light, but other than that, I don't know
When there is a section that I find less interesting and there free space to jog I basically do a "fast forward" to more lively areas. These videos are also somewhat a sports exercise to me as I try to walk rather fast in general so a bit of running is good even though I understand it may look like I'm running away from something 😎

A weird city judging the images of the video: it seems to look beautiful ... suddenly, in a few seconds, it's horrible ... you turn the street and it looks nice and elegant, you look to the side and it's modern and cold, nothing cozy, unwelcoming...

@@duitiscviking3074 No, I don't: IMHO all cities are not the same... I spent a few days in Hamburg in 2018 and this feeling I comment was more pronounced than in other cities and watching this video I felt it again. I never said Hamburg is ugly but it’s not really one of my favorite cities. It’s just that.
