Dom, that Fenton basket @ 7:33 is called silvercrest ruffled edge, for identification purposes. They should be checked really carefully on the applied handle for possible breakage and never picked up by the handle. If this helps? ❤ Also the vase @ 20:49 is called a swung vase because they cool it by swinging it upside down which is what causes the “fingers!” at the top.
On the green jug, to get the top section, you could probably put some water in it and a tablet, cap it and position it upside down until it’s had time to work.
At time mark 22:40, the little flake inside the vase is trim scrap from when it was made in the mold. The liquid ceramic (called slip) is poured into the mold, and there is a "neck" above the vase. The neck will have ceramic in it, too. This gets trimmed before removing it from the mold, that is a bit of scrap that got left there and fired and glazed on.

❤❤❤Can’t wait!❤❤❤ I tried your recommendations yesterday at an estate sale. It was very interesting to see people just walk in and not look around nearby, behind doors, on shelves, etc. You make it all look so easy. It’s not. The knowledge you have is amazing to me. I looked at sheet music, okay - very early years but is it worth it? I find it very difficult to do research on my phone with people meandering back and forth nearby. I feel so GUILTY! Not wanting to do the research in front of people makes it next to impossible to know anything about values. I did find some wonderful vintage wrapping paper for $3.00 - an old flip phone for my grandson for $4 and a few other things. A whopping $12.00 but it was a blast. Lots of nice people, clean and well run. The prices were not like yours but it was worth it to spend quality time with my grandson and see how things work. The history in the house made for some thought. Report cards from grade school - onto high school yearbooks - graduating college and onto finishing school for a Masters. Just amazing - Travel books with postcards, lots of living in that house. Truly a lifetime. Just WoW. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Hugs to Daisy and a big hello to Mrs. Prime time. I don’t blame her for not wanting to be on camera. Once she does that it will never be the same!❤❤❤❤
Thanks Holley! Sounds like a great sale! You would definitely need to get over feeling guilty for researching comps. Many of the estate sale dealers do it themselves lol. It’s so common these days for ppl to pull out their phones anyway. Also remember that many estate sale dealers realize that they are selling to dealers who plan to resell. As long as they can get it out of the house and get some money for it they are usually fine. Estate sale treasure hunting is definitely a fun challenge that gets better with experience. Enjoy the next show! Will pass on the hugs and hellos!

That defect on the made in Italy vase, I would call it a manufacturer defect. It is so crazy how Estate Sales price things at retail now. So sad. You did get some great treasures though.
Thanks! Yes, ppl in the live chat were saying manufacturers defect too so good to know! Tough to go on presale day but always happy when I can still get some good treasures. 😃

The vase from Italy appears to be ceramic. When it was originally poured into the vase mold, it was called green ware. I used to go with a group of friends and family to a place called the Mud Hen. We went every Wednesday. We would purchase various pieces of green ware items. We then sat at a large table, and with various tools we would first clean all of the seams and extra bits that were still on each green ware piece, thoroughly, being ever so careful not to break the green ware items. We would then paint the pieces with glaze paints and the owner of the shop would fire our items in a kiln during the week. If the seams and bits were not removed completely, they would be glazed over and remain on the piece. The pieces would then be fired into ceramic with the bits and/or seams still on them. That vase did not get properly cleaned prior to glazing and firing, therefore the small chunk bit became part of the glazed vase. A very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.🦃
I am new to your channel. Love the info you give but I have to say I get anxious while you are talking about the item and wondering about all the stuff you’re missing out on because you spend so much time with one item. My ADHD is yelling at the screen, “stop talking and keep shopping!” It’s me, it’s not you. 😂 If you met me you’d understand. Thanks for all the info!
LOL, I get it Vickie and welcome to the channel. Here is the Prime Time philosophy: Don't worry about possible treasures elsewhere when you have definite treasures right in front of you. :) When you think that way, its all good.
I've always considered any item marked "not for food" as modern as they didn't really know back in the day what was safe for food and what wasn't. But with "vintage" now being considered 25 yrs old, that rule might go out the window. I enjoy your videos!
That’s so crazy that you can get $30 for a Boston pencil sharpener. Those things last forever and are still in some schools. I remember seeing so many of those things in my youth. I’m currently a part-time reseller and my wife’s a retired teacher. I need to talk to some of her friends and see if I can get some of those. Lol.
I like watching your videos and you take the time telling about the items. Maybe it's just me, but it makes me think you could miss out on things. 😄 ❣️
OMG! I didn't realize how much I missed Daisy! And you too Big Pumpkin! So much stuff in that house. I REALLY like the green bottle. Niknax sounds interesting. Hope your Thanksgiving was nice. 🦃
Awesome video Dom!! It's a great contrast my man. Those large hands handling those breakables!! 😂 I couldn't do that ! I'd break half of it! And I'm going King Solomon for your found Halloween decoration. Put it halfway between the other Halloween decorations and the spot Mrs PT left it!😂
Thanks Eric! I have to guard against my clumsiness! Good thing is that I have not broken anything yet. You are the Switzerland in the comments with your solution. :)
@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter haha I'm sure you have to be careful!! You should do a bloopers video, from over your years of doing the vids! That would be great! And yeah. I'm known as Mr Switzerland among my family. Always keeping the peace!!🤣
Good stuff Dom, I would have probably bought most everything you did, and maybe a couple others because (if the price is right) my ASP isn’t as high as yours is, although I’m working toward getting it up higher. Great sourcing helps that, but sometimes you just don’t get the opportunities. Being a fellow metal detectorist and occasional bottle digger, I’m g\lad you clarified the bottle cleaning thing. There are bottle tumblers if you’re into it big time and truthfully some people would prefer you keep the bottle ‘farm fresh’ as they prefer to clean them partially or sometime not at all. I do usually add in the cost of my working on the bottles to clean them if I’m going to. Hope to see another estate sale video soon.
Thanks Gary! Farm fresh is such a great term lol, especially for bottles. I just couldn't help myself with that one because I wanted to make that green pop again! :)
I know you skipped over the granite ware, but I want to point out that if you should ever come across the "LISK" granite ware, it has a nice resale value. I know because I have been looking for it for forever!
Hey Dom. Another good one. Must be getting a bit chilly up there by now. That green bottle is amazing. We think alike on what you pick up and leave behind. Kind of bummed there wasn’t anything in the basement. It looked a little dark anyways and with houses that old sometimes the stuff gets that musty smell. Can’t wait till you go back. Give Daisy a belly rub. Happy Thanksgiving and remember……gravy is not a beverage! 😮
Yeah that would have been fun to at least go down there but apparently it wasn’t safe. Oh well! We do think alike and I have been known to drink gravy! lol happy turkey day!
Amazing video! Such a great house filled with amazingness ❤ awesome tips. Great shoutouts! Lots of humor (you crack me up) a name change 🙌🏻💝 && Daisy!! = perfection!
The oriental vase didn't look like soapstone, I think it was carved resin. Soapstone is never uniform in color, especially an item that large. My passion is Oriental art, and I've seen hundreds of those vases. some red (cinnabar color), some gold and some are white or ivory color. Hint: on most Chinese items, if it's glued to a stand, pass. It's rare that a valuable piece would be glued down. It could happen, a previous owner may have thought it was a good idea; it's just a general rule. For example, if you see a green hard stone item labeled jade that is glued to a base, be very wary and make sure before you pay that hefty price. Daisy is adorable overload. ❤️
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter My knowledge of what something would sell for is limited to my personal collecting experience, and further, a small rural area of the country. I'm not really qualified to say what you might expect to get for the vase. The subject matter and how detailed and intricate the carving is makes a difference in price. I could not see your vase well enough in the video to make a judgment on that aspect of the piece. Good luck on your you- tube videos. I subscribed to your channel. BTW, that precious little fur baby miss Daisy stole a piece of my heart. I had a little Daisy, She was a 4 pound yorkie and she was the center of my world. My you-tube handle is dazee -n (and) - me. She passed years ago but I miss her still. Looking forward to your next video.

@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter Not too bad, not as crazy deals as you yet but I have to learn the game. I did make out well yesterday, good size box of vtg photos and postcards for $10.
@@FossilForwardFindsI help set up estate sales, so I get "dibs" on stuff in trade for labor (sometimes). My advice is to go the first day and the last day of the sale. If you can't get a deal the first day, whether it is just priced too high in general, or more than you want to spend, it will likely be deeply marked down on the last day. The risk is that it will be gone. Having said that, never be afraid to make an offer on the first day. It is part of the game, so to speak. Also, sometimes an estate is just too big to get everything put on the first day, so we are sometimes pulling stuff out every day of the sale. Also, if you're after anything specific, ASK! if the estate sale is being conducted by a company, if that sale doesn’t have what you're looking for, they may point you in the right direction. The lady I help out has a wearhouse where she keeps the overflow stuff or from estates she buys outright.
True, but If I melted a toothbrush handle I would probably burn down Prime Time Treasure Headquarters. Plus, I really like the value for this $14.99 set. And you have to buy the toothbrush.

Way less of a decrease for a factory or firing defect than a chip or crack@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter
@@audrycase6924 ok thanks 🙏
I am new to your channel. Love the info you give but I have to say I get anxious while you are talking about the item and wondering about all the stuff you’re missing out on because you spend so much time with one item. My ADHD is yelling at the screen, “stop talking and keep shopping!” It’s me, it’s not you. 😂 If you met me you’d understand. Thanks for all the info!
LOL, I get it Vickie and welcome to the channel. Here is the Prime Time philosophy: Don't worry about possible treasures elsewhere when you have definite treasures right in front of you. :) When you think that way, its all good.
Loved the wallpaper, what a find! Had it growing up, waaaayyyy back in 1977😊
Oh wow! What are the chances!
We did too in the 70's in the kitchen! 🤣😊
Love it!!! @@lanna7917
yeah yeah Daisy stole the show again,,,
LOL
7:40 that fenton pattern is called silver crest
Yup, got it thanks
You rocked it again Mr. PT great content!
Thanks Mr. T!
This video is very interesting. I love all the knowledge you share; Thank you!! AND, HI DAISY!!
Thanks Deb!
28:00 that is the tester button, which you would remove... there is an on & off switch on the bottom.. ok you saw that, never mind LOL
Ha! Now that makes more sense…a tester button. 👍
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter silly man... LOL
I've always considered any item marked "not for food" as modern as they didn't really know back in the day what was safe for food and what wasn't. But with "vintage" now being considered 25 yrs old, that rule might go out the window. I enjoy your videos!
Thanks! Actually, vintage is now considered 20 years or older. But yeah that’s a good point…probably not super old. Thanks for watching!
Lol.
@@spbaldwin they are easy money!!!💰
I like watching your videos and you take the time telling about the items. Maybe it's just me, but it makes me think you could miss out on things. 😄 ❣️
Thank you. Here is the Prime Time philosophy: don't worry about possible treasure elswhere when you have definite treasures right in front of you. :)
OMG! I didn't realize how much I missed Daisy! And you too Big Pumpkin! So much stuff in that house. I REALLY like the green bottle. Niknax sounds interesting. Hope your Thanksgiving was nice. 🦃
Glad to see you in the comments again! Not the same without you! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Mine was nice and relaxing!
Love all your content! Especially seeing Primetime Headquarters guard dog Daisy! 😂 Give her a scratch for me!
Thanks Chris. Will definitely give her a belly scratch for ya!
Hi Dominic! I love the green jar!
Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, and Miss Daisy
Haoot Turkey Day, Trish!
That green jug is fire!
Silver jewelry is hot right now so when you get a chance pick it up!😊
For sure!
no, really you always present a great showing of things as well an explanation ,,,
Thanks Tom!
You missed the little blue milking stool in the cans shelves.😊
I know you skipped over the granite ware, but I want to point out that if you should ever come across the "LISK" granite ware, it has a nice resale value. I know because I have been looking for it for forever!
Ok thanks for the tip Jenny!
I should mention the smaller ones are harder to find.
Wow at the prices
Great video. Very informative and interesting.
Amazing video! Such a great house filled with amazingness ❤ awesome tips. Great shoutouts! Lots of humor (you crack me up) a name change 🙌🏻💝 && Daisy!! = perfection!
Thanks Jessy! Keep your eyes peeled for Chesterton Rustolvo! 🤣

Thank you. How much do you think the vase is worth?
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter
My knowledge of what something would sell for is limited to my personal collecting experience, and further, a small rural area of the country.
@@dazeenme oh my, I’m so sorry to hear! I love Yorkies…and Morkies…and Daisy’s. Daisy is at the end of my recent estate sale videos so that’s where you can find her if you want to see more. In older vids, she’s in the beginning sometimes. Thanks for subbing and the info on the vase!
Very cool video, as always Dom! Thanks so much for all the great tips! Love the denture tablet trick! Howdy to Mrs. P.T. & Daisy!! Have a pleasant Thanksgiving Dom! :D Joyce
Thanks so much! Happy Turkey Day!

Thanks!
Hello daisy happy Thanksgiving
Happy Turkey Day!
I think the Halloween decoration looked good in both places!! Maybe change the location each year.....Really interesting mix at this house. I have the black and gold kitten bookends. I also saw a lovely McCoy yellow pelican next to the pink cat Cookie Jar. I have three pelicans and I put succulents in them. And thanks mucho for the idea of incense sticks in flower frogs. I have a couple green glass frogs because I love the color and I have incense....Great Idea!
Thanks! Glad to pass that idea along! You have quite the collection!
As to Halloween decorations, I will take the Tim Allen quote, I have no opinion.
lol
Loved the Shenango pottery cup. I live in New Castle PA & it's pretty plentiful here. Too bad it's closed down now.
So interesting how each region has its own abundance of gems
The building is now in shambles. So 😥 sad.
@@patshimrack6237 sad for sure
Why not just remove the paper tag from the green jug as it appears to be attached with piece of twisted wire?
That’s too logical for me 🤣🤣
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter to be honest, I would have wrapped it in plastic and my husband would have said "why not just untwist the wire?".

Pyrex pieces you have to be careful with cause the outside designs are lead based
Good point
Great video Dom! Finally did my first estate sale last weekend! Might do another 1 or 2 this weekend.
Glad you took the jump! How’d it go?!
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter Not too bad, not as crazy deals as you yet but I have to learn the game. I did make out well yesterday, good size box of vtg photos and postcards for $10.
@@FossilForwardFinds nice!
The cusinart food processors sell!
Yup, I have one. Buy in price was high on presale day though
@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunterAhh
I would pick it up🥰
Thanks but which item?
humpty dumpty was never said to be an egg. just portrayed that way. why? who knows? nobody knows.
It's pretty fascinating stuff. Alice said he looked like an egg in Through the Looking Glass but not that he was an egg.
Yep I’d pick up the sugar cuz someone has the creamer. And it’ll sell
That’s a good point
Gee Whiz! Prices were so high, even for a first day estate sale!
Yup! Made it all the more better I was able to sniff out the treasures! Just sold the Humpty Dumpty set for $175!
Use a toothbrush after melting handle to bend the shape the way you need and it's free
True, but If I melted a toothbrush handle I would probably burn down Prime Time Treasure Headquarters. Plus, I really like the value for this $14.99 set. And you have to buy the toothbrush.
I always watch your shows love it. Next time mention what your minimum profit you would like to make per item.
Thanks! I can tell you know: $5 :)
Black light on it
Nice stuff
Thanks!

Does the water have to be warm?
Nope :)
