For anyone that didn’t know, there were desserts such as Crepes, Shaved Ice with Sweet Azuki Beans or Sweet Red Bean, Green Tea Mochi with Red Bean Filling, Lots of Dangos (basically small rice cakes), Chocolare Banana, Fresh fruits turned into a juice or bowl dessert, Roasted Chestnuts, Baked Sweet Potato Yams (sweet sweet), and lots of Strawberries & Strawberry pastries, as Japanese are known for their unique strawberry farms & quality. These are all wonderful.
Nikita Choudhary I do not, but in New Jersey, there’s quite a few visitable Japanese & Korean supermarkets that have some similar “street foods” or ingredients to make some of these. (And I watched a lot of korean & Japanese cooking & street food videos)
Let's Eat With Oana I live around Union County so I pretty much have access to H-mart & their small community of korean restaurants. You can go visit Mitsuwa Market in Edgewater for some Japanese dishes & groceries & sweets. Not everything in this video is available at that market though but it has enough!
A lot of commenters are concerned about certain prep cooks & chefs not wearing gloves when preparing street food. Please consider that this is Japan / Korean videos preparing “street” “market” food. Japanese are known to be very clean about their preparations so don’t be so alarmed. Koreans however are a bit more harsh in their prep & do more barehanded than Japanese. Just because you live in an non-Asian country, doesn’t mean countries that do barehanded prep (properly to some extent) are “dirty”. Try to be more open minded about different cultures, enjoy the videos :x you’re not going to get sick from your computer / phone screen.
El RP If you think restaurants in place like America follow strict procedures then you need to experience the real world. Ive worked everywhere. Who do you think is working in chain or most family owned restaurants? Not trained culinary students, its fucking teenagers and people who dont give a shit. Ive worked whole shifts where people wore the same gloves the entire time, even after touching their hair or even door handles. Most places only wash their equipment at the end of the day. It can be dozens of people touching a prep area before its ever cleaned. I work in a hospital now and people still dont even wash their hands. They have to be told.
Yes, it's an actual street. But these are permanent stalls that are more like brick-and-mortar shops. Plus the Japanese care a lot about cleanliness and food quality.
I miss Japan so much. It's a shame I didn't get to try most of those foods, even the street foods. I hope we can come back next time, and try all of it.
This was the most relaxing video i have ever watched. ever. and i watch those "try not to get satisfied videos". I would love to watch another episode on japanese street food :)
To all of the clean freak in the comment section, i find them very clean, and you'll find them if you have watched or seen street food in Africa. Even in big cities like capitals. i live in Abidjan and believe me, if you're sreaming because of some bare handed prep, don't come here, you will lose consciousness 😂😂😂😂😂 and it's not even expensif
Japan in my opinion has the most tasty looking desserts in the world. Also all of Asia seems to have the healthiest and mouthwatering desserts period in my opinion
They should make a strawberry crepe that has strawberry mixed into the batter and then strawberries inside with strawberry whipped cream and then top it with more strawberries
Where was the green yaki-mochi from?? The name of the stall/shop?? I loved the one I had in Kyoto last year. But where is that one in particular in Osaka?
It'd be so great of only all these Japanese stuffs are from Malaysia 💕💕💕 I LOVE JAPAN SNACKS 💕💕💕 THEY'RE AMAZING 💕💕💕 It's like even their products are sell as one of the top best products 😆
It would be awesome if anyone here could tell me the places where one could buy this exact food "items"!! They looked so delicious, I am drooling over here ;)
The attention to detail and delicate hand on that crepe was just so satisfying and perfect.
Yeah but that is 8$. A little bit pricy.
Hey something that pretty is w or t h I t

Kupo Sempai i don't like someone's dead skin cells (at the least) on my food. #weargloves
El RP welp, you may as well not come to Asia for their streetfoods then.
El RP try to go Florida California Puerto rico or any other Hispanic countries.
America does the same not many places, resturants and etc, wear gloves either lmao. So its not new when someone preps or cooks don't wears gloves.

Absolutely love that you went for the simple background noise of the locals in the city. Beautiful video :)
@Chino 400円とか

I'm loving all the closeups, thanks for doing that! Better than most street food videos!

i love how she piles on the strawberries! Yummm!
I loved the cold orange, so refreshing on a hot day.
When you got the orange do you remember if there was still pulp inside or if it was completely liquified?
Great video. Just if you could please put what each name is and what the ingredients are. Thanks!
That is seriously the coolest way to eat/drink fruit. I would love to try that.

I miss Japan so much. It's a shame I didn't get to try most of those foods, even the street foods. I hope we can come back next time, and try all of it.

Street food... Neatly packed and well presented.
That snowcone looks amazing, along with all those other treats... lucky you!

Flan Flan That’s a big project but I’m up to the task. It’s taken me several trips and I still have a ways to go 🍡🍣🥟🍤🍜
Kkk

The expectations to the reality are fucking amazing in Japan. I don't live there I've just seen so many pictures. It's amazing.
Can you also include pricing information on items you purchased?
abghere Good idea, I should do that on my videos...
Yes, the little information of location and price value a lot to the viewers who like to try it themselves when visiting these cities.
abghere Location I got no problem with that. I forget to mention prices sometimes lol
