Thank you for the support!🙂 - Наука та технологія
I enjoy how basic but direct your videos are! Your English is also very clear and concise! Thanks and keep it up!!
Thx you ! To add the new profile it's not necessary to switch to the C mode. Just stay on the Video M mode and after save the settings inside C1, C2 or C3
Thanks for clearly describing the steps of this procedure.
Thanks a lot man, great video. Nice and clear, really helped me out 👌
Glad to hear it!
Exellent unexpected surprise that
I can get cineD thanks man
SUPER EASY!! Thank you! Still works!
Very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you. Extremely well explained.
Thanks for this! Quick question in C mode my gx85 seems to be in P mode for exposure. How do I change it so it’s the red camera in the left top corner so I can manually expose? Thanks!
This is maybe beyond me, but ... In c mode, you would need to go into the settings menu, down to "motion picture" menu, and (2nd page) change exposure setting. Then go back to the "spanner-C" to overwrite (update) your new changes. --- OR: starting from scratch, you want to set everything in the movie mode setting (so M, codec, balance, etc,) and THEN load the Cine-D on top of that, then go directly into your menu and set it as a custom setting. You can then "restore" to get your old profiles back, keeping a Cine profile on that custom save. You can do this a 2nd time for the Cine-V and a 2nd Custom setting.
make sure the camera is on manual/movie mode when installing the profiles
I keep getting connection failed, and I have no clue why. My IP address and such are the same, is the link broken or?
Well the hacked worked but what i noticed is that when I compare Cine d with natural, the natural profile looks a lot flatter and less saturated. Something isn't right here because Cine d should be much flatter and less saturated
Hello, is this option possible to install a profile on the gx80 camera with a Russian menu?Is it safe?
everything workd BUT when i switch from C to video the cine d disapears and the colors turn normal??!! and no option to cchoose cine D .. this sucks :(((
AMAZING.. THANK YOU
i can't access manual aperture and shutter speed on either c1 c2 or c3 please help
My c1 mode is set with P mode how can i change that i would like to use my c1 profile with control on every parameters, manual mode
Just go manual mode, do your preferred tweaks and then try to save it to the C1 again.
When using the cinelike D profile, I can’t autofocus while shooting video. How do I fix this? Thanks
it work with 1.3 firmware?
It didn't work in my GX85. Instead can I change the picture profile by changing the contrast saturation levels according to the cine D settings shown in your video? Does that work?
Ok, but how can i record video on custom mode 1, on C dial? I just simply press the red button on the camera? When i set the "C" on dial, my camera set on photo mode, not the manual record mode.
Can this hack be done on the GX9?
Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
great tutorial, so it will keep shutter speed always 1/50 double of fps.is that correct?
petr janek no this tutorial is to add a flatter image profile to your camera so that you can have more flexibility to color correct/grade it in post production. You’re speaking of the 180 degree rule. You want your shutter speed to be twice your frame rate ONLY if you’re looking to have nature motion blur in your footage. Which give a more “cinematic” look. That’s only one ingredient to giving a “cinematic” look. 2 others are locking your white balance and exposure. Never shoot in auto because those shifts in image will kill the “cinematic” look most people are going for.
How do you set it back to factory settings?
Didnt see the "restore" option the first time around. thanks!
No worries, just make sure you also reset your custom saved modes as well, or else they'll still have the Cine D/V profiles saved.
Channel 8 i'm keeping both thanks! I just couldn't see the "normal" settings, now i have both.
Can this work with a GX8?
It works great! Thank you!
Is there a way to remove this hack? I want to sell my camera but it can’t have this hack on it.
Just trying to catch up.. How do I remove photo mode in custom? I see you have it on Movie only and I'd like that option too..
nevermind i went way ahead and didn't pay attention. lol thanks for the tut! subbed!
Chan1 im still trying to understand this
Thank you for sharing this info. However my camera gone up to iso 3200 in low light based on your C1 setting.
Whats the difference between installing this, and changing the settings manualy??
Manually you cannot get a cine like gamma using just the built in settings, it uses some sort of log curve on the luminosity graph.
Is there a hack similar to this but for upping the bitrate of 1080p60 video to 50 or even 100mbit from the default of 28? I like to use it for slow motion shots with 4k30 for regular speed shots but the bitrate difference of the two modes is REALLY noticable when editing.
once in C1, is there a way to control f-stop and SS? The 1 dial let's me set f-stop, but then SS is adjusted automatically.
Make sure that your camera is in the manual (M) mode when you load the Cine profiles from the HTML file.
is there a way to set my cinelike d setting to fully manual mode? right now it is set on my c1 with a P set on my top left sided of my screen. whenever i move my aperture and shutter speed dial buttons they automatically adjust to each other
I'm not entirely understanding your problem Jeric, what parameters do you want to change?
nvm, i reset my camera and set it to film mode. i then placed the cinelike d hack into the film mode and saved it as C1. all good now
Jeric Gambon hi, can you explain what you did more thoroughly
I have the v1.2 on the gx85. How do i do it?
Thanks, my awesome brother! Cheers :)
Same sa gx9?
cool info thanks subscribed
Made it work with version 1.3!
Will this work with the V1.2 firmware on GX80?
that i wanna know too cause i have v 1.2 on my gx 85 and i cannot do it
Yes it does, my GX85 was on V1.2 when I made the tutorial video.
This is so amazing wow
@channel8 i try it out and it worked but my camera has a icon c1 S your has an icon c1 M how id you do that?
Try reset the custom settings and then make sure you retry the procedure whilst the camera is in M or Movie mode.
It's normal, your custom mode has already been set with the S mode. Deploy the cinelike D/V directly on the Video M mode and after that save the settings inside C1, C2 or C3. Like that your C mode will be in video mode.
hHi thanks for this video, but i have issue when i try to film using C1, for example, is automatic i don't have control on iso or shutter speed? how can i record with cine like d please
That's the same problem i'm facing, have you found a way around?
@@davidecastagno3607 make sure camera is on manual/movie mode when installing the profiles
ITS GREAT!
Great video! Does this hack still work? I dont have windows 10 pro so I don't think I can connect my cam. When I click on the connect/handshake links I get a message that it can't find the web page
same here
does this harm your camera in any way ?
No. Not that I know of. You can always reset it which is good.
@@Channel8eight but to shot in CineD you have to go to the "C" on your dial and in there you can't control the shutter speed, its always compensating and I cant seem to set it manually
tested it on my lx100 seems to not work :( it just make the image darker somehow
Sorry to hear that buddy, try the good old fashioned way of manually creating your own picture profile with low saturation, contrast etc.
hey there buddy, did you find some way to get the flat profile onto the lx100? thanks in advance!
Clean video
because I get the P instead and not the the M??
Is the gx 85 better than Sony a6000 and Panasonic G7?
I would definitely say better than a6000 due to 4K however the sony has a larger sensor. The G7 is the younger G85, technically it's better than the GX85 however it's much older so older sensor technology, AF system etc.
Does not work (anymore?). Could it be that firmware version 1.3 prevents those settings? I can do the entire procedure "successfully" according to the HTML file. I get "OK", but even though the picture profile shows empty (so, no Standard or anything at all), the image on the screen remains exactly the same and when I turn the camera on and off, the picture profile is Standard again. I reset the camera, took the battery out, tried again, but to no avail. Anyone?
I have 1.3 and it doesn't work
Thanks
Ty for the tutorial dude !
I think i have a problem !
It seems it worked because the image is a bit flat but when i check into photo style i have the standard values .. so does it worked ? Can i change manually the values and save to get the job done ?
Yes you can, so you're already using Cine-D/V and the camera allows you to further tune the profile to your liking by giving you options to adjust contrast, saturation, sharpening etc.
Ok and u recommend it ? in the videos i saw they already had the settings -5 -5 -3 -5 when applying cine D i'm confused . sorry for my bad english and thx again for your help
Yes I typically like to shoot my Cine-D with those settings, though recently I have been shooting on -5, -5, -2, -3. I find those settings make for an easier grade in post since not too much saturation and color information is lost.
OK ty for advices ! Can i record videos in Cinelike mode at the same time in PSAM mode and so i can change aperture and ss ?
Thank you.
thank you so much
Great tutorial! I am a videography amateur in China and want to translate your tutorial into Chinese then post the videos with Chinese subtitle in a China steaming site with you credited and the original address in the description of the uploaded clip. There is no available tutorial in Chinese and i want to share it with Gx85 owners in China. Please let me know whether it works for you? Thanks!
That should be fine though I would prefer that you just upload Chinese subtitles on the video here and just get them to watch it from my channel.
Channel 8 I would have done that. Unfortunately, UA-cam is banned in China Mainland. That's why i am asking for uploading the translated version to a China streaming site to make sure it could be accessed by most of the people in China mainland.
That is fine, you can go ahead.
Channel 8 Thanks, buddy!
Great tutorial but you left out a few crucial steps.
1. The camera must start in video mode on the dial.
2. After deploying the "Handshake" you must hit the BACK button on your browser to get back to the downloaded CINELIKE D file. Took me a while to figure this out.
3. You must use the Chrome browser, doesn't seem to work in Safari.
After that you should be good to go...
If you do it exactly like I did it in the video it will work.
to me putting on C, instead of the M comes out the P ..
It's unclear - is Cinelike D just a set of presets? I'm guessing it's more than that, not sure what tho.
No it is not, it is a cinematic picture profile that allows you to get the most dynamic range out of your GX85/G85.
Well Said!
what camera and len did you shooting this video with? It's clear and beautiful.
A combination of the GX85 and RX100IV.
Is this legal?
Will this work with the FZ80?
Can someone explain me how can i change aperture and shutter speed while i'm in C1 mode for cinelike d ?
You must make sure you're in full manual mode before you do the hack, that way you will be able to manually control everything after loading the profile.
I am probably the only one here who doesnt get it :/ i did get cine d/v deployed but dont know how to setup with C1 and C2
Now I will make important additions to the installation of Cinelike D.Sorry for the crooked English. When installing Cinelike D according to your instructions, we lose the standard profiles, and this is very bad, they are sometimes needed for JPG photos and for finished videos. But I found a solution:first, we do everything as you have, assign Cinelike D to C1, C2 or C3 with the necessary parameters, and then we reset the settings(picture with a key, page 5), but most importantly-only the FIRST reset!, then we refuse. And finally, happiness-the standard profiles are back, and Cinelike D or V remain in our memory C1,C2, C3!My advice:1)on C1, we save Cinelike D with manual aperture and shutter speed settings for working with 4k static video, 2)On C2, we save Cinelike D with automatic exposure(or aperture priority).)- for 4k(or 1080) action video, 3)On C3, assign Cinelike V.So we get both Cinelike D, V and standard profiles, thank you!
i cant do manual aperture and shutter on C1 c2 or c3 please help
@@kinaiyastudios4089 Hello, first choose a manual aperture and shutter speed in video mode, then make saving in C1.
Thank you man this worked !
@@kinaiyastudios4089 ,I myself wanted to remove Cinelike D, but helped persistence or case, and now I have both standard profiles and this cinelike.
Has any one try this on lumix g85?
👍😊❤️
how was the video quality on 1080p 60fps?
has any one try this on lumix lx10?
I just did and it works. I did find out through trial and error that you have to set your mode dial to movie mode and NOT 'C' in order for the profile to be successfully loaded.
Funny the hack looks like natural profile on -5 on contrast and saturation and reverse S on highlight. Check that and youll be surprise how flat that looks
Yeah there something wrong with the hack. It looks too saturated and the highlights are sri very warm and present. I don't think this hack is working. No way is that profile cine d. I compared the profile to natural, but the natural profile looked way flatter
I have tried this 5 times and after I click the handshake it always fails. The entire program disappears and a message pops up saying the link is not valid.
What browser are you using?
That contrast-less video at the end kinda looked horrible tbh. :(
It has to be processed in post production, its how editing works
Hmmm, you can't really do this if your internet is ALSO wifi huh?
1:44 hack begins
