I think a part of it is, as a woman in the world today, you’re more wary of men than women- Because of self preservation. Even ones you’re potentially attracted to. Because all throughout history and still today some men catcall, harass, assault or even k!ll women for rejection or trying to play it safe and it coming off as cold or rude. Plus again from a woman’s perspective, if you haven’t been assaulted or SA yourself you probably know a woman/or women who have. So I would be uneasy if a man that wasn’t my bf or hairdresser was touching hair. A girl doing it just comes off less threatening. But in this particular instance the 2 woman had spent a lot of time together and the guy Kurt I don’t think had as much time to get to know her- so that could also be part of it. Regardless of the show though, without the “bachelorette” vibe I think women are just wary of men out in the world so we go home safe at night and don’t end up with our pictures on dateline or the news.

Wow! I *never* say this about video sponsorships, but Care/of actually sounds like a good idea for me. As a trans woman, I take a lot of vitamin supplements to help enhance the effects / minimize the side-effects of HRT. Having them all in a little convenient pouch would be very helpful. Especially when I'm travelling when I usually just forgo bringing my vitamins because I don't want to back a bunch of big bottles that just take up space.
If it's helpful for traveling, one of those 7-day pill organizers can be a cheap and easy way to portion out your vitamins ahead of time so you don't have to pack all the big bottles! 😊
Out of curiosity, what supplements do you take to help your transition? Just wondering if there's something that I should be taking, since I seem to be stalling a bit.
@jcoulton4 The main ones I take are biotin and cod liver oil. I also take additional vitamin D because I live in Canada, and unless you're outside all day, most doctors recommend vitamin D just for general health. Trans or cis. And the last one I take is ginkgo biloba for memory. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but I've noticed my memory has gotten worse since transitioning. But it's probably just me getting old. 😅

Even if you only react to a compilation or something. It's really heartfelt for a reality TV show. (It's like the bachelor but they're all women/non-binary and queer)

You see, as a much older woman who was bisexual before I married .... Sometimes, you realise that you aren't interested in emotional relationships with women (other than platonic friendship) .... As reality shows go this one is pretty much the formula. The only thing that makes it interesting is Alayna and her emotional investment. Shes so cute and that is coming from a 100% red blooded American heterosexual. I did grow up in Hollywood so i have been around a lot of queer people my whole life and many Alayna’s who moved to LA to find themselves. Bless you Alayna you are doing good work, for young people in particular. Keep it up. Love you.
