We voted a few years ago for the tv tax deletion, and the people said they wanted to pay that tax😂. Today, the surveys are saying that the results might be different if we had to vote again.
Ahh I didn't know this hahaha but yes I noticed that in Switzerland you have to vote for alot of things, but on the other hand, it's nice that the government consults & listens to the people 🥹❤️🫶🏻
Oh, after reading the displayed text, I understand the "Buddha statues" topic. I also would not like to see a "Jesus statue" as an "decoration". Good information.
One thing I know is: in Singapore there is no church tax. But in most swiss cantons they must pay it (everyone please correct me, if I am wrong).
Such a mess with the motorcycle accident. Good to see that you are healthy. It was a very nice video! And it is fun to see the world from another person's perspective and learning new things at the same time. 👍
Thank you so much for watching & leaving a comment! 🥰❤️🫶🏻 yes from what I know we don't have church tax in Singapore! Oh yes, the accident happened in the 2nd month I arrived in Switzerland so I was kinda sad but most importantly I've healed fully 🥹❤️🫶🏻🫶🏻
Hi there, I want to ask about how to lodge a complaint in Switzerland. I recently experienced a tourist trap about Swiss railway (SBB) who tend to indiscriminately fine passengers who activated the Swiss pass just a little bit late with excessive fine. I was handed a 158 CHF fine ticket by the ticket controller without even asking me any question (e.g. if it was I first time). Later, I found out the abusive habit of SBB ticket controllers from many internet groups and decided to make an in-person trip to the SBB office to complain (as the SBB tel line is always engaged). The funny thing was the staff in SBB office after hearing my case immediately and apologetically reduced my fine to 0 CHF (only 30CHF for admin fee). Instead of having time to sight-seeing, I spend a lot of my time in Switzerland complaining to SBB. This not only wasted a lot of my time but leave a really bad taste in my mouth. Any idea how I can complain it to the senior management of SBB?
Unfortunately many people aren't aware how culturally insensitive just putting a Buddha statue as decoration is. I totally understand how it makes you feel uneasy, I wish the shops that sold them at least also spread awareness & didn't just treat it as nothing important...
I was raised Christian but I think we should respect all religions ❤
In 2026 we will vote again about the TV fee's. This time it's about to reduce them to 200CHF from currently 335CHF. I also rarely consume Swiss television or radio programs, except for ice-hockey when the Swiss national team is playing. But it also think 335CHF is too much for what you get specially since the last time we voted about the deletion of the TV fee, a lot of people were against it cause Swiss television showed a lot of international football games, like the champions league, back then. But this has changed since couple of years cause the couldnt afford the TV license which FIFA wanted. BTW even you dont have a TV or Radio but you have a smartphone or a computer, you can still consume the content from Swiss television online.
Wow that is very informative thank you so much! If it really gets reduced to 200chf, it will help me with my groceries cost🤧 haha that makes sense for sports enthusiasts, I usually watch netflix on my phone haha I think my phonebill covers it hahaha🤭
Have you moved to Zurich?
TV & Radio Tax...or "Gebühren" are a thing in most european countries actually, definetly in Germany, Austria and the UK.
I see thank you for this info🤭
