    Wrist curl of levan is insane. Most average people can wrist curl 15-30kg without specific training. Most armwrestlers will be in the range of 40-70kg range. Levan at 100kg is just insane

      Let's face it, Dave Chaffee is more impressive than Levan as well. Dave Chaffee in his prime literally just rams through everybody pound for pound. Levan always had this huge advantage literally, his size. It's pretty stupid for Top 8 to even match up Levan against Prudnik and Ongarbaev. 🤣🤣
      I mean, you'd have to be the most unluckiest lucky person to get that kind of genetic, be huge and train for armwrestling and still be weak?
      Even in general, if you put 2 people together one is 400-500 pounds and the other one is 300 pound max. You'd automatically think that the guy with over 100+ pounds advantage would win.
      His size is the reason for his success. Sure, it's not Levan's fault he is that big, but if you want to talk about legacy and being "strong" in people's eyes. That would be John Brzenk. Being strong if you're as big as Levan is easy. But, being strong with John's size destroying the competition in his prime and defeating Armwrestlers bigger than him is tough.

    I believe the compound movements are extremely underrated provided someone is already good at arm wrestling, and has a good mind muscle connection for it, Example, I’ve been arm wrestling non professionally for over 40yrs, and have never focused on training biceps or forearms, but always hit chest, back, and shoulders hard with compound movements, and I have about a 98% lifetime win ratio at arm wrestling, and I’m primarily a good top roller, but I can hook good if I need to, but here’s the other abnormality, I don’t have big hands or big arms relative to my big size, which I’m 6’2 255lbs currently, but again, I’ve always been superior among my peers and friends at arm wrestling, But I definitely agree that Levan is the strongest arm wrestler on the table of all time by far.

    I think wrist flexion as a component of overall cupping ability is slightly confusing to understand and compare on the table. Yes it is next to impossible to take levans wrist, but when it comes to active cupping ability, is his cup the strongest?
    Vs ermes, devon did a much better job of controlling the hand of ermes and his cupping allowed him to block all access to sideways pressing power.
    While, on the flipside, levan was unable to contain ermes' toproll back pressure when he stood up to press finish in that 3rd round.
    Idk if you'll follow what im saying along, but I think from a technical POV, devon does more with his cupping than levan does with his.

    • @PerformanceEnhancingPancakes
      @PerformanceEnhancingPancakes  5 місяців тому +2

      are you talking about simply not getting your wrist cracked, as opposed to actively bending it?

    • @mallhi5557
      @mallhi5557 5 місяців тому +1

      @PerformanceEnhancingPancakes I'm talking about actively cupping your wrist, more so in the sense of hand control.
      Why was devon able to easily block ermes' flop, and daves flop?
      Why did ermes have a hard time against daves flop in comparison? Why did levan have a hard time with ermes' flop?
      I think the answer here is that devons ability to cup and control the hand is superior to levans ability to cup and control (not necessarily stronger cupping)

    • @PerformanceEnhancingPancakes
      @PerformanceEnhancingPancakes  5 місяців тому

      well I think part of it is Devon generated more height initially and had a better setup, resulting in him having a much deeper grip making it easier to cup. but also I'm guessing ermes probably cared more about beating levan

    • @mallhi5557
      @mallhi5557 5 місяців тому

      @PerformanceEnhancingPancakes that may be true, but it's interesting because levan has had a history of losses to the flop wrist, while devon knows how to deal with the flop in a more efficient manner.
      Arm wrestling strength in the right areas also counts for something, and I think this is where devon shines. Since levan is so stupid strong, it's really rare seeing him make technical mistakes. Against ermes though, I think his technical mistake was trying to continue to climb up the hand and over pronate while not really securing a strong enough cup - unless ermes' back pressure was wayyyy too much for levans cup to contain. That makes more sense to me, otherwise levan would have forced ermes in a high hook/forced hook position with his containment.
      Its just all very interesting to me in the topic of strength vs technique.

    It's hard to determine the elbow flexor king, denis lifted 170kg with a wide grip and less involvement of the Brachialis which makes it much harder then what levan did but now levan did full 3 reps of 165kg while denis did 1 and a half rep and then ermes came along and did a 92kg backpressure lift which is by far the highest i have ever seen on a backpressure lift, plus with all the friction accumulated while lifting the weight. So in terms of elbow flexion to determine the king is quite challenging.

    It's not Levan's fault he is that big. But, to me all the credit goes into his size. Before he got that big, he was losing to Krasimir, Georgi, Genadi and even Sabin.
    Being that strong when you're freakishly big with over 150+ pound advantage over your opponent is easy. But, if he looses weight, or if the guys in the competition like Devon, Genadi, Dave, Ermes, Vitally and many more were the same size as him. I doubt he will be number one.
    Don't misunderstand, I don't hate Levan, it's just I'm not impressed. When you look at him and when you look at his other competition, you'd already think that he'd demolish those guys. It's not fun, it's not entertaining anymore. It's just like another normal day that you'd already know the outcome. Ermes came close to pinning him, but still that was on the 5th round where Levan already won 4 rounds.
    That's the only exciting about Levan's matches. To see if other's could stop him. Other than that, you'd already know he has to be tired and most likely already secured the victory by winning majority of the rounds before we can get an "exciting" match.

      все хотят набрать такую мышечную массу, чтобы стать такими же сильными, как Леван, но не могут. пайзулаев курдеча корри гиорги тоже много весит, но не обладает силой, поэтому он уникальный и сильнейший армрестлер на планете. если бы муравей весил 100 кг и занимался армрестлингом, то он бы всех победил

      @@zazagurgenidze7337I translated your comment to English and yes, everybody wants to be big as him because that’s one logic to win in this competition. He isn’t unique, he is just gifted with the ability to be big. Gaining strength from training and muscle mass is already given to other athletes. It’s not unique
      Your logic on ants weighing 100kg engaging in Armwrestling will win. That logic applies to John Brzenk and that is what I call unique. Automatically on your mind getting that big to be strong and dominant is the key. But, that’s not unique. That’s just how it probably goes normally. What’s unique is John despite not being bigger than most his opponents is much stronger especially in his prime. So I don’t really understand your point.

      @@pleaseforgiveme1749 The uniqueness lies in the fact that only the anatomy and physiology of Levan was able, after training, to gain such muscle mass and strength in the places necessary for arm wrestling. No one before him could do this. And now, too, many with similar dimensions are trying to catch up with him but cannot. Many big people in There are 8 billion people in humanity, but only the unique ones break records. What’s unique is that no one can beat you. And an ant is more unique than a brzenk. Denis had bigger bicep curls, that is all. (And Levan is pretty much closing the gap on that one, and Denis can never go back curling those weights because of his body health complications).
    Levan has bigger hands, longer and bigger fingers, he is taller, more heavy and he beats Denis on any fundamental lift by FAR.
    There is no way Denis can ever beat Levan, he would be obliterated.
