I don't want to give you too many rules, but if you could keep to these two rules: A) You choose one handgun, and two long guns. B) These have to be from your collection. THANK YOU. And If you can get your son on board too, I'd love to see what he would choose (same rules apply) for this kind of scenario... The "If I had to go to war today, with the firearms I have right now."

I love these revolvers so much that I’ve ended up with two of them! I first bought the NS model (stainless with night sights) and then made the mistake of walking back into the very same crack house (i.e., gun shop) and walked out with the DC model (black DLC coating). They are truly phenomenal firearms - superb fit and finish, great trigger, and simply a pleasure to shoot. They’re pricey, but I believe they’re well worth the investment.

When he stared talking about staging the 2 inch K6s trigger it made me regret selling mine SO MUCH. It was by far the most predictable, potentially powerful, and arguably beautiful pocket revolver I've ever owned or seen. You without a doubt 100% feel when you're at the hair trigger point as though it were a single action. This series of revolvers really can do it all if you want something practical and fun

      .327 Federal Magnum (best)
      .32 H&R Magnum
      .32 S&W Long

I’ve had the Kimber K6S for 6 months or so now, and it’s an amazing piece of machinery. Easy to shoot, for and finish second to none, and I own S&W, Colt, Dan Wesson revolvers...I was surprised at how well put together their K6S is. It’s a small snubby with 6 rounds (I don’t own the target or combat model, I have one of the original K6S snubbies with wooden grips).
Shoots like a dream, very easy to carry and I’m glad I got it. No regrets whatsoever, and I plan on getting the 3 or 4” model some time down the road. She’s a keeper for sure.

With normal 38 Special ammo, gun was extremely accurate with great grouping, not much kick, like 2 LBS worth kick if i could estimate.
Special +P had slight but more kick, but not enough to make fearful of recoil being to strong to disrupt follow up shots or when using in emergency, Going to firing range soon to see if shall Run Special +P For Home defense & Conceal Carry.
357 Magnum kicked HARD into your hand, feels like pushing a Brick into your hand, Hops Hard upward & digs into hand i found, Definitely after 10+ rounds you’d feel it, i Shot 6 shots of 357 and left the rest of the 357 alone. 😂
Currently running 38 Special (self Defense tipped) for Conceal Carry with Speedloader containing +P . Definitely recommend getting Stronger Grip for gun, after that good to go!

In the DASA configuration, this Kimber is beautiful. Kimber including the recessed cylinder bores reminds me of the original S&W Registered Magnum revolvers that were practically custom guns. Excellent Tritium sights to show up so well even in low light conditions and is adjustable for windage with a proper tool. The 3" barrel so much more efficient with high powered rounds. Have to agree with Hickok- Kimber bring out a lighter alloy frame variation of the K6s for easier EDC usage.

I just bought a Kimber K6 S and shot for the first time today my 25 yard groups were 8” , I know they will be smaller when I get used to the locking up of the cylinder. The mass of the cylinder is really noticeable when it turns and locks into position, I got the feeling that the trigger pull lessoned after the cylinder locked. Once I figured that out I was able to align the sights and put them on target all by feel. Very nice, that’s why folks report better groups double action than by pulling the hammer back. All in all this is a very nice revolver , the three inch barrel is ideal.

A 2in K6S DA was my first gun. I love it. Love love it. A lot.
"I shoot this gun DA, the hammer doesn't impress me"
Yeah dude, full agree, but there were so many people out there that whined it didn't have one. I wonder if they actually got one!
I am.... hoping Kimber shifts into a more traditional revolver manufacturer. Wouldn't that be neat! I think they would quickly rebuild their reputations.
    Only problems with the gun:
    1) extractor is a hair too short. Casually pressing the extractor will not eject all spent brass. However -- doing it aggressively you should eject it every time. Practice.
    2) Those super tight tolerances make it so that moon clips cannot be used. Period.

I have watched many of your Videos! We agree on most. At 80 & 24 yrs of Mil. Service & hunting from age of 5. Coached some also, teams to kids as young ad4 1/2. I love your range! I boned my 60 S&W back in the early 70's . I think the 3" is much better shooter then my 2" ones! I would love 3" Kimber in this Video but prices are out of reach for me now! Air weights are easy to carry but much harder to shoot for many. I also love H grips. If not for reloads I could not shoot as much but I shot plenty while in the service! We can agree to disagree, OK ?

Mr Hickok I'm totally in your camp with regards to the 3" variant of this revolver. It's missing something like maybe a thicker underlug even if it's a 1.5"addition. And they need to lose the external hammer. I'll take the snubbie all day..........and it needs to take moon clips too.

Kimber makes fine firearms, and I have one of their 9 mm automatics. I checked Buds Gun Shop, the DASA is currently listed for $715.00. For me, I guess I'm a S&W fan, and have been since I was a teenager. I'd prefer the Smith 65, or 66. For pocket carry I have a S&W 649 357 magnum with a crimson trace laser on it.

The S&W 638 is a J-frame with a shrouded hammer that protrudes just enough to be cocked for single action shooting. Such a provision would be a welcome addition to the K6s.

850.00 is a "put up gun". It would kill me to carry it, scuff it, drop it and potentially loose it to the evidence locker in a self defense incident. Speaking of guns that surprise you. And don't throw things at me - The Taurus 856 2' in DAO spur-less black. Looks like a "Night Cobra" totally blows me away. The trigger is as good as a S&W 642 with a polish and spring replacement. Now one of my edcs. And unlike most Taurus revolvers it does not tend to bind if you don't release the trigger all the way before the next shot. And I usually only buy S&W and Ruger revolvers. These Kimbers are works of art.

You have just made my day, thank you very much for making this video, been interested in this little gun since I first seen your video... Those look like super nice quality made revolvers but I’m still loyal to Smith N Wesson and like the looks of the S&W look specifically. Plus they just don’t jam or misfire. My 442 38 Special is going to fire 5 rounds every single time. And the grip is like perfect even in someone’s large hands. Hitchcock is a big dude and his review of the J frame revolver is spot on!!!!

Good info, I recently purchased the Kimber K6s 3 inch with the hammer for home protection only. I live in New Jersey and we have (unfortunately) very tough gun laws. Our liberal politicians want to take our guns away. My purchase of this revolver also considered that my wife can easily use the gun and easily pull the trigger;that's important!
