It sold for $200k on Friday if anyone was wondering. Thanks Jay.
bayareasolarpower wow
bayareasolarpower yea ford number one i work for gm lol
Too much money for something like that
Someone got ripped off..lol😂
I'm sorry but if the money went to a disease foundation like was said no one got ripped off. If I had 200k laying around I would've bought it for that much to have a previously owned Jay Leno truck no. 1 You can guarantee it was highly taken care of.... plus helping out a charity organization. Hell I'm not sure if the tax laws work out for something like this but you might could even write off the 200k for a charity donation and get some of it back... Idk.
I have multiple sclerosis and it is a terrible disease. Thank You Jay, for your contribution I know it will go towards helping find a cure, or possibly somebody getting better equipment.
Paul Castro I hope you get well soon :D
Hope your doing well and keeping your mind and spirit strong. I'm doing the MS Ride(bike MS). I'll be thinking of you.
Don't think the cash goes straight in your pocket though (just in case you were thinking?)
Jay never lets anyone finish talking lol
Daniel ikr I've always noticed that 😂😂
I'm preety sure he does it on purpose because he knows he can get away with it, I wish someone would just tell jay that ( If you cut me off again jay.. I'm gonna slap the piss out of you.) that would make my day.
No he does it to keep the show on track...
maybe pressing for time?
He’s like trump lol
Mr Leno, as a son of a Multiple Sclerosis inflicted mom, I THANK YOU so VERY much for doing this. I have watched her suffer since 1982 and it is a VERY debilitating disease. While she is one of the more fortunate ones that suffer from it, she still has problems walking and doing normal activities. The doctors think that she had it many years before she was actually diagnosed with it because the technology and the knowledge of the disease just wasn't as advanced as it is presently, but it still has a long way to go because they still can't figure out how to stop the disease. They have found ways of slowing the progression, but for some even those treatments aren't very effective. Again I SINCERELY THANK YOU FROM THE HEART SIR. I wish I had the money for the auction, for the main reason of where the money is going to, but also I would love to see another one of your vehicles be cherished and HOPEFULLY the new owner will see it in that order too.
Mike Lunn my wife has MS, it sucks...
Remember when I wanted one of these... Legendary truck
God damn that Jay is good dude. Obviously loves his collection so much he doesn't sell anything, but will offer up vehicles to support charities. Good fkn dude.
And doesn't get all fanboy when talki g about brands. All around good guy
Thank you I was thinking $125,895.00. I was wrong. 😁
John Doe when your rich you care less about money.
@@slowazzes1972 are you sure about that?
Free Audio Books yes I’m more than positive jay leno isn’t sweatin about giving away a $200,000 truck.
One of the best looking F 150s of all time
+Killacamfoo O.G. Agree. I miss the step sides - I actually saw one of these HD version SVTs today.....then ran across this vid on my normal weekly check of Jay's Garage
My neighbor had one I think (he was a hot rodder) and I remember the sound it made...very unique coming from a pickup!
+Killacamfoo O.G. Bumpers are too big.
+Killacamfoo O.G. This body style was always my favorite out of all the F-150's.
Agree, just love the tail lights
I don't know if any of Jays' people actually read these comments, but on the off chance they do - please let Jay know we appreciate all he does for charity, especially for our veterans. He's a good man.
5:54 no fucks given
Lmao
+MrLimit9000 Hahaha. Leno tends to do this a lot.
Lol so fucking rude
+MrLimit9000 yea i noticed that too
+gilbert martinez Nah, he was always like that, I remember watching the tonight show as a kid.
I never liked that iteration of Ford trucks, but major kudos to Jay's company for doing a charity drive for MS.
You guys continue to earn my respect. Well done. Really.
When will Harley-Davidson sell Ford-150 themed motorcycles? Can you imagine? A Harley that has Ford badges and comes with a Ford flashlight and Ford coffee mug! Awesome!
But only if it has a 5 l Ford V8, everything else would be too un-American
Knoz the 5.0 sucked either the 300 i6 or 5.8 Windsor
This comment is underrated
Ford sidecar
Would absolutely need the 5.0 engine. There's no other Ford engine other than maybe the power stroke that can really fill the shoes
Jay, Im the president of the Michigan Chapter of the MS Society and will be on the block with you in Scottsdale next week. Cannot THANK YOU enough for your generosity! So excited to meet you to be able to thank you in person on behalf of the nearly half a million people living with MS in the US. We are honored and humbled by your support!!
I didn't think it was possible, but I just became a much bigger fan of you, Jay. My mom has had MS for going on 5 years now and there's hardly enough awareness about it, so I've just gotta say I'm very thankful for what you're doing to help.
Thank you for this, Jay. My sister has Multiple Sclerosis and this really got to me. Thank you so much.
I'd estimate it will probably go for about$118,000. And it very generous of him to donate a rare vehicle like that for such a worthy cause ! Thanks Jay !
It sold for 200k
I remember here in Texas people feel in love with that model, myself included, I always wanted one. Someday those trucks will be selling for absurd amounts of money.
Waited in a 3 week line in Houston in 2004 to get an 03 stock Lightning 5k miles on it. Never selling it ever.
Is there a car ever made in the history of cars that Jay Leno has not driven? lol
Your channel is fucking awesome!
right!
the Pontiac bodykitted camaro.
Any Holden...
Love your vids!!
thats the exact lightning power in a luxury package
False it was detuned 40hp the lightning is pushed 380 450tq Harley only get ves u 340 with the same tq
@@MrJokersgrin1 his wasn't
I was speaking about the Harley edition in general I didn't know his wasn't detuned
I had one of these in 2003, imported from Miami to the UK. Although mine wasn't supercharged. Still a stunning looking truck, this one being so rare must fetch at least 500k
I think it will get close to $80,000 Being the 1st HD truck custom built for a celebrity.
Also Jay you're UA-cam vids are always Awesome to watch.
Alright a truck!!!...and an F150 to boot, with only 2000 miles. Good one Jay... Once you drive a truck you never go back.
+Mud Wiser You did see that he is auctioning it off right?
He litterally has every single Type of car ever built. And a truck is nothing special btw.
+BullrockMcHammergeil No he doesn't.
+89000unknown Most truck fanatics have poor comprehension skills.
SRM Solar radiation management Geoengineering Yes he does.
I had the pleasure to drive one of these , brand new, and looked very similar to Jay's, except for the 5.4 V8, as a friend of mine who is our local Ford dealer, took me for a test run in it. It was an impressive pick-up truck to be sure. It didn't have that engine of course, but even so ,it went like a rabbit, away from a hound.
Jay, you're just a good guy. I can't say how much I admire the way you give an even hand to every type of automotive technology, showing us every kind of car and talking about their history and good points. Then you go and do something like this.
it's easy enough to make donations to charity and maybe get a tax write off. But you go the extra mile to really sell it, add value and do something really good for the cause. i can't help but feel that you are a genuinely good person and a true automobile enthusiast. having said all that...
I know you are doing the car show on cable. i cut the cable as did many others. I hear Jeremy Clarkson did too. I can't help but think that Netflix would love to have its own car show, I bet they could even come up with a pretty good budget for production, travel, and adventure, if you're up to it. I imagine others have thought this through. i'm just saying I think this, should it happen, would be the best thing to happen for cars and car enthusiasts in years. Give it a think.
Detroit needs all the help it can get! Thanks for the plug Jay!
By far my favorite truck to date, would definitely love to have one some day
Gunner Dakota I had a 2003 super crew in black and boy was it fast. 🚙💨💨
Glad to say that I own the limited edition 100 year anniversary 2003 two tone harley f150
I've always like those!
@@FranciscoGarcia-rg5nj yup it's a beautiful truck.. last month I just tapped the 95k miles!
two tone??!! You bullshitten!
@@vinr6867 yeah the black and silver 100th anniversary truck
@@senorjalapeno3937 i had a 01' crew cab but always thought the blk and siver was the best one.....
Hey Jay , I was in that truck before you got a chance to get your hands on it...lol. I remember that truck going down the line in Oakville Ontario and it was a 1 of a kind. Who ever is lucky enough to get this truck is truly getting a vehicle that was looked over from top to bottom all the way through out the whole process like no other truck built in that plant. There was not 1 flaw on that truck as it was inspected over every inch through the body shop...paint shop...trim shop and chassis dept. I remember that build and a yellow svt that was built for you as well.
Thank you Jay for donating for such a great cause! The world thanks you for your generosity!
do a video of the SVT lightning that will be awesome
Ok please tell me he bought a Lightning. Its the best I love mine forever!
AF_1892 i don’t think he did
"Supercharger makes a nice whine"
I own a 2000 Ford 150 and loved seeing this one. Thanks for sharing Jay!
Hats off to Jay. He sure pays forward
You're a great man, Jay. That's was really inspiring.
My guess is $185,000. Great of Jay to donate this special Truck.
Jay has a bigger heart than most automotive afficionados. You didn't HAVE to do something like this. I hope this goes for as high a price as possible (don't know if it will break records) and I am sure the person who buys this will have some kind of a link to Multiple Sclerosis as well. Great thought of doing all this for a good cause.
All said and done, Jay - I would love to walk alongside you touring your garage and shake your hand Sir.
Best looking truck ever made, im lucky enough to have the same model with only 110k miles on it.
Me too. Still gets looks.
People know its top shelf.
Um not even close to best looking truck around
It is a 17 model year old truck. And that body style is 20yrs old now. Very few around, highly sought after and it's just my opinion on the looks. To each his own.
samieh seyedmorteza you're incorrect and your opinions don't matter
i have one but its not really unique because in my neighborhood there are 5 of them around.
Jay, That's awesome to donate the proceeds. Love your show, can't wait for the next episode! Is there any way to get shirts or hats with garage logo? My son and I are slowing fixing his first car and it's nice to see a intelligent car show without the theatrical drama. Peace John
My son just bought the "last" Harley Davidson F-150 (2012) last weekend. Super nice truck with a proper 400+hp 6.2L V-8!!!
@Jay Leno, Thank you for everything you to to assist different entities that aim to help people. Keep up the awesome work, Love your channel.
I crinch everytime Jay interrupts a guests when they try tell something interesting
I still don't see how a motorcycle brand enhances a Ford pickup brand.
+srercrcr Exactly! I want to see the Cheetos Ford Truck edition. Any of that junk on the side of a vehicle might as well say cheese-ball. It's all marketing gimmicks.
I can understand related industries...NASCAR, Baja, etc....but two-wheeled motorcycles????
+srercrcr well, obviously you don't ride because when you take your bike in for service, you have to get it there right? so either you ride it and have someone pick you up or you can take it via your HD pickup.
I hauled around my 2008 nightster all the time and unfortunately I didn't have them both at the same time, I had a pickup identical to jays without the HD stuff and the super charged 5.4L....(I did have the 5.4L FI though).
Same as guys buy trucks that match their boats, etc.....
BTW: marketing "gimmick"? err no, it's just marketing.....which is: the packaging of a product to a specific customer and then selling of that product. Do you realize what 2% of F150's sales are? Those are astronomical numbers so I guess they knew what they were doing......
it does not at all.
+srercrcr As long as it sells and turns a profit.
I used to see these here in Texas all of the time and I do still see them pretty often. I also had a friend who had an SVT Lightning back in the day and that thing was awesome back then.
As a one of kind, I think it'll get $150-200k! A great cause. Good job Jay!
please do a 2nd gen Lightning SVT
+John Ponciano They already have, the next gen Lightning would be number 3
there is one the first one was in the mid 90's second came late 90's till 04 I believe
+John Ponciano wouldnt this be more or the same?
+Pete Oliva 2nd gen 99-04
demikpre what do you mean exactly?
I'd bid on the truck just to get a tour of the garage honestly. :)
12:50- Just love to hear when people (especially like Jay) give love to the D. The architecture is second to none !I will always respect our Great -grandfather's,Grandfather's and father's on to which whom built it.
I've had my 2002 Harley truck for eleven years and still turn around to look at it as I walk into the store!
Saw one today all beat to hell, but it was cruising on the highway here Houston Tx.
Tacuaches
Rumor of some disgraced Lightning in Houston or DFW. It was painted PINK with white middle stripes. I hope the thing was a faked truck trying to look real.
Crap paint no gloss worst paint job ever. Hope it was a faker.
I'm going to say it will go for around 250k
+Will Leonard lol good joke
Josh Briggs i actually think it will go around 200k since it comes with a tour from jay most car guys would go nuts for that
Will Leonard hmmmm, possible
+Will Leonard Supposedly his previous auction vehicles have sold for about double market value probably due to the celebrity attachment and charity context
Roe Sham Boe ya usually charity auctions get more money than regular auctions plus you could boast that one of the greatest car collectors of all time owned this car
Wow, the exact F150 Harley Davidson Edition Truck that I prefer...love this truck!!! Thanks for sharing the cool video.
Best looking pick-up truck ever made!!!!
Those charity auctions can be hard to guess the sale price as its for a good cause, I say maybe someone will come up with 120,000 for it? The Cup and the flashlight may make it be worth 50,000 more lol! The Key bonger is cool. I spent $30 to find a NOS part to make the key buzzer buzz on one of my vehicles. ding ding ding! Well Buzzzzzzzz
often some rich dude will buy, then redonate, and auction again.......hopefully.
rahowhero
yup! We have all seen that happen.
Usually they invite people that would donate way more than the car is expected to be auctioned even if it wasn't a car, they put these guys that would donate anyways so the auction keep going. When ford auctioned the first Mustang GT350 the guy that paid 1 million (I think it was 1 million) was going to donate the money anyways
Exactly. Do they get a write off too?
focused313
Oh yea, that's probably why they spend so much. They make millions so they have to donate to keep their taxes low
It would be great if Jay signed it on the door jam...ohh and a signature burn out!!! I suspect you can get that upon request at delivery! With Jay added value, I'd guess $150k. Money's fake anyway.
my family bought one back in 2000. Brings back a lot of memories.
100,000 at the auction! Thank you for supporting great causes Jay.
Jay Leno sporting an Apple watch....nice.
WHAT ABOUT THE FORD LIGHTNING!!!
Lightning isnt a luxury truck it's a sport truck
Lightning is the best! Have you drove one?!? Its luxury that traffic melts out of your way on the road. Almost like an ambulance.
Just bought the 100th anniversary Ford f150 supercharger I absolutely love this truck ,Ford for ever
I got to see Jay Lenos' truck over at Barrett Jackson. It took a picture and gosh what a truck!!!!
no burnout?? I don't think the new owner would mind video evidence of Jay Leno himself in their new truck making a big cloud of 'Murica!
my dad has a 2003 harley davidson f150 with less than 800 miles and still has the plastics on the seats
Does he have he black and silver color?
Do a vid
Lorena Plascencia yes
Can you post any pics?
This video is like a matryoshka doll. A advertisement within a advertisement within a advertisement within a advertisement with the last big doll being a good cause lol
I liked the aero style pickups when they first came out, but my enthusiasm for them waned quickly. I especially didn't like the sedan style dashboard. Jay's got so many truly stellar vehicles that I doubt he'll miss this truck.
Congrats!! The truck just sold for $200,000
I know someone in Vancouver that has one with 0 miles. They bought it new and put it in a garage right away.
Ohhhh my God ... I am in love !! Gorgeous truck indeed !
I have the 2012 version, one of my favorite trucks ever!
MY F150 HAS OVER 400,000 MILES ON IT
Because you don't have 150 cars to divide the mileage by.
+BullrockMcHammergeil
I have had other cars while owning this old faithful truck..Mazda 626, 2 BMW E60 M5s, BMW 540i, Nissan Maxima, BMW 545i, Buick park avenue, Toyota Camry, Toyota Celica, Mitsubishi Montero SUV, Honda Passport...and others I don't remember
none of them lasted as long as this truck.
+saad alsaud Whatever man. You gonna to be kidding me? Toyota car last long too. I have seen and drive a Toyota camry and toyota celica has about 600K miles. I never seen American car last that long. I have Ford, GM, Dodge and all of them junk and break down so easily. I believe only American car that last long is only Chevy.
+Big Mike Mike H ......whatever dude....I know what I have and what I had. I'm not going to argue with you over my own personal experience. Since this truck is still driving with its factory 4.6 V8 enegine. Windows and electrics still work perfect. This truck got more abuse than anything I ever had. I towed all my other cars with it when they broke down. I towed other people's cars when they broke down. Still runs ....
+saad alsaud nice. have you owned it from new?
#1 with a then unique engine. Less than 5k miles and Jay Leno owned? Easily $100k.
Jay Leno, you are the boss. What a wonderful human being. And what an amazing F-150. I know that this comment is many years after the video. But I hope it went for a lot of money.
perfect combination! I always wanted a lightning but i prefer the looks of the extended cab and it has all the luxuries that f150 offered back then. nice to see what these looked like brand new.
You should do a Chevy 454 ss 1500
Hey Jay I would like a tour of your Garage(museum)
Best part of Jay Leno Garage is watching him drive thru LVT AND TUJUNGA
I remember I brothers friend had one! Real sweet ride
0:11 repeat-repeat-repeat-repeat-repeat
PS. I wouldn't be surprised if it went for in the low 6 figures. One of a kind, mint condition, serial #1, Harley Nut's non-Harley centerpiece, belonged to Jay Leno with an insane amount of documentation including this video + donates to charity....
My guess for auction price is probably around $400K
+WaybackTECH Yeah you've got a lot going for it:
1) Number 1 of that model year
2) Only one of it's kind
3) only one that year with the supercharged 5.4L
4) the heritage of Jay being the original owner
5) low miles
6) all original
If there ever was a late model collectible car, this is one of them since it truly IS one of a kind....
BTW: I was going to say $400 to $500K......just have to say too that anyone who buys it can take the selling price as a charitible donation tax deduction too.....
+WaybackTECH Gotta disagree, I say it goes for somewhere in the 200K range
+michael C Low miles is a bit of an understatement lol.
+WaybackTECH I'm with you, I say 350 to 400K just because it's his and its for a good cause.
+WaybackTECH Looks like the truck went for 200K.
You,r Awesome Jay, Love your shows and keep up with the great work you do..
Jay is the man, Ford builds good trucks, being Auctioned for a Good cause, nothing else to say.
jay said it was the first one 6 million times
Jay, no Dodge Ram SRT-10 ?!?
I agree would love his style video of that especially as he goes on about old viper power in other videos.
he's keeping his gmc cyclone
+likeits1985 He probably bought the Platinum-Ford instead because, as he has a whole fleet of Fords, he may have gotten some extra-percent off the price.
Jay you have always been doing good things and this act of yours makes you a super hero in my heart and millions of people around the world not only as an incredible automobile enthusiast but also a good & kind human being. I pray the auction become a huge success. love you for what all you do, love you for the videos. God bless you sir. Bala.
Have a Harley same year and love the way it runs and sounds
9:27 that Evo tho
boy638 gay
15 year old tires?
yeah you'd hope they slapped on new rubbers
+Guy sr They had to change them out. They would be rotted.
In some vids I have seen 50 year old race cars with original tires going strong (and fast). If my memory serves me correctly, that 80's lamborghini LM 002 also had original rubber that was featured in this channel a while ago. If kept indoors and inflated, tires last loooong time.
+suomenpresidentti
You do know that tires have an expiration date?
Typically it's about six years after they are made.
+Ronald C Krause Jr The expiration must not be 100% accurate because I still have my stock BF Goodrich tires on my 1972 Cutlass Supreme and I only drive her once a week but last month I drove her to work for the whole week. They are 44yrs old and still ride good an look mint.
I bought myself this exact truck about 3 years ago I love her
This is a one of a kind truck,a real showstopper of a ride.I shoud have gotten this big bad boy in 1/18 scale die cast!!!
I cant get into the theme of the truck. For the same reason I dont want a Harley Davidson in a f150 theme
Its too big. Lightning forever.
Harley pretty much has all foreign parts. Not sure why nobody cares about that reality. Its like stamping KIA on an F150..
God bless you Jay. You have a heart of gold.
Remember seeing one of these back in 2003 in black and silver with the big harley davidson logo on the rear window. It looked amazing but the coolest thing it had that I've never seen before was in the well of both door handles it had a numpad to get into the truck. Never saw the guy to ask about the truck and have never seen once since.
Silverado ss made over 360hp n/a just saying
5.4 liter engine, with a supercharger and only makes 360hp?
+Jonny Oliveira It's called Ford.
It's in a truck..... Torque is all that matters
Year 2000 anyone?
torque dude. thats what a truck is for.
you arn't racing people on the streets and showing off. you are working.
From MS ppl. Thank you for the gesture Jay.
I love my 2002 Harley F150! Nice Jay!
it would be funny if he auctioned off and it ended up in an isis propaganda video
Seriously? Why don't you explain how that would be funny! Better yet explain how anything to do with murderous terrorists who have no regard for human life would be funny.
jonathan brady because instead of going to a good cause it would go to isis.
+jonathan brady calm down baby boy.
+white chocolate ISIS goes for 4WD off-road vehicles. This truck is more of a hot-rod and is RWD. You don't make any sense.
krayzel it would make for some sick burnouts in the background of someone being beheaded
This truck never made sense to me...
same here. how does a bike and truck have anything to do together 9
AsocalRedneck
It's like a Yamaha Toyota T100...
Same here this truck was always pointless to me they werent fast at all. Lighting is the better
+AsocalRedneck most bikers drive a truck......
Neo Smith
So the guy from _Pawn Stars_...
On behalf of all MS afflicted, thank you very much Jay!
I own a 2011 model Harley F 150.It came with a 6.2 liter making 411 hp. I love that truck and keep it mint.I've got a 2000 Lariat 4x4 for work and hauling with the 5.4 but no supercharger.lol
Only 360hp from a supercharged 5.4l V8 engine?
Meh....
+rareblues78daddy 16 years old though and americans were really slow to get maximum bhp out of their engines.
+rareblues78daddy
At least it won't explode after 200k, like the new stuff that gets 150HP from a liter.
+Piotr Noja except no one should drive a 5.4L truck for 200K.
+Piotr Noja
what, getting 200k out of an engine is fantastic.
+Jeff K
Is it really? Older diesels can do way over 500k.
