You probably already aware of this, but the US army isnt the ONLY army. Yes, we are the best. And yes, we win almost all the wars (I dont know how Vietnamese's did it, I think they was hacking), but join the military for your region. if that's Russia, Iserial, China, ect there's a place for you. Or, maybe your country just suck. Theres jobs out there like security or law enforcement that can be somewhat similar to the army experience
join the air force not the army or marines or navy........there is your answer. AF is like having a regular job and it is more structured towards mentoring instead of punishing like the army is. You have way more opportunities to travel in the AF due to the insane amount of TDY's, chance is you will stay at once base for 4 years but get to go on temporary duty assignments all the time plus the AF pushes to send you to schools for upgrade training in your AFSC (MOS for you army folks). You can live off base if you want to when you get to your duty station you don't have to be an NCO.
" plus the AF pushes to send you to schools for upgrade training in your AFSC" i didn't know that. I've heard and read all the time about 'bad ass army schools" but those "army schools" are "hoah" shit like air assault and airborne, and not something that's going to actually improve your job skills for your career or for when you get out of the military. "You can live off base if you want to when you get to your duty station you don't have to be an NCO" I don't know about that just like THAT as soon as you get to your duty station. I do know by now that Air Force has unmarried enlisted move out of the barracks aka "dorms" when they reach the rank of E4 after a maximum time of three years in service (and in many cases even sooner) vs the Army where you're not guaranteed to move out until you reach the rank of E6 (in some cases E5) which can take some people up to around 10 years. Someone in the Air Force who isn't married and isn't a sergeant would be allowed to move out the dorms soon enough though.
@@golfery5119 I went from the AF to the army because I thought the army would be similar, just more physical. I got a huge bonus, 50k+, and it sucked ass the entire 4 yours and I had to go from E-5 to E-4 and they said I would be E-5 in a year I just had to complete WLC or whatever it is called now because the army didn't accept my senior airman leadership course which is 6 weeks long compared to 3 weeks for WLC at the time. I never made it to WLC and I was stuck in headquarters the entire 4 years and never did the job I received the bonus for. I had a degree and could type and was almost 30 and mature so they wanted me in HQ with the higher ranking officers in brigade. I was going to stay in and complete 20 as I had already done 8 years AF. Before a year was up in the army I decided I was never going to re-enlist which I didn't and couldn't because I was injured and medically separated and since I was an e-4 not able to re-enlist I received involuntary separation pay which was $17k at the time. Once you go from AF to army the AF won't let you come back. My entire time in the army felt like a punishment. Felt like I had broke the law and the army was my punishment. I realized the army is the branch that takes people that can't get into the other branches. So many unprofessional NCO's treating lower enlisted like shit. No NCO can make lower enlisted to push ups or any kind of corrective training it isn't how the AF works. In the AF you get a verbal counseling if you mess up to much then it is a letter of counseling than a letter of reprimand. I neve knew anyone that got an LOR most people in the AF are pretty mature and the NCO's for the most part are taught to mentor lower enlisted not belittle them. And the AF has no FTX's only chemical warfare exercises like once every 2 years and it usually only lasts 24 to 48 hours. When I was in you did PT at the gym on your own and I never took a pt test. I got out of the AF in 2003 though and a lot has changed.
@@zebrajenks damn, thanks for sharing. too bad you found out too late that the army was a major step down. But were you still single when you went army? If so, can you say if the army made you move back into the barracks, or did they let you keep BAH and allowed you to stay out of the barracks?

@@jcyarg2 I know I've been thinking about the Air Force! I want to join the military after high school but I'm not sure if I want to join the Army or the Air Force. My sister's in the Air Force though, So who knows I might join the Air Force too. Guess will see...

I know I don’t wanna stay in the same place forever but I also wanna produce music too. Maybe I can do both? Idk man my biggest question, is it really worth it?
only way to know would be to do it for yourself and see . As bad as the military can be, it can help you for your civilian life. After a contract, if you serve honorably, you will be able to get the gi bill for college. *You could also get some type of disability payments that will help you with some money when you get out..... especially with the branch you choose to join* a lot of people will tell you to join the air force over the army/marines, because while the whole military has nonsense to deal with, the army/marines arguably have that much more nonsense on top of it and will treat you like a little child and screw you (when you see the term "green weenie' it's specifically for the army/marines), whereas the air force will treat your more like an adult (youll be allowed to move out of the barracks years sooner if not married, not as many restrictions, etc) and provide you a with a more technical job for civilian translation......... But if you join the army/marines, *BECAUSE those two branches are the shittiest* ... you might wind up with more emotional as well as physical problems than you would had you joined the air force, and if you have those problems documented, you can qualify for disability payments when you get out. Especially if you go active duty. Other benefits too with the military. but again the only way to know is to join.
I'm currently in the process of obtaining an option 40 11x contract for rangers, I think this is a better option than being in regular army? Any advice for this contract and thanks for your insights on the army!
Hey man do you have any advise on the asvab test like good sites or books to study on ? & say I go to meps to take the asvab going as the army , if I get a good score do I have to take it again to try to go to another branch ?
I had also a really important question as well. Is it true that in the military, you are actually considered government property, or was this less than the truth? And if you would say that you are considered it, in what sense would you be considered government property?
I’m currently waiting to get my medical paperwork checked before I actually go get my medical exam done at MEPS, I’ve already done the PICAT and scored pretty high, I’ve already looked at jobs so know exactly what I want to do (aviation) I’m just waiting patiently to get cleared to go back to MEPS to sign my contract 😅
I am 33 and considering joining the army. From your experience and point of view is that too old to even consider it today? I qualified for B11 infantry
"I qualified for B11 infantry" That's 11B infantry, which is one of the lowest and shittiest MOS. EVERYBODY qualifies for infantry when they join and that's why you DO infantry when youre in basic training. I joined older myself, so I feel that I can relate more than most other people can. At 33 years old, I would advise you to not join the military. If you do, I would say go officer if possible. If you enlist, I would say national guard/reserves instead of active. If you enlist for active duty, I would strongly recommend, for many reasons, *especially as an older person, not only physically but as well as emotionally* , to go Air Force instead of the Army because the Army is going to treat you more like a little child much more so. Even if you can keep up physically, the Army will screw you harder than the Air Force will emotionally because you are lower enlisted. Please ask if you want to know anything more.
Which score did you get in your ASVAB? And what’s your job in the army? I’m taking notes because I wanna join the army in one year cause I gonna turn 18 in a couple months😅
Well I know you want to hear it from him but like me I got a 37 I only got like certain choices like culinary or dentist. I would say try to study get a high score like 45- above so you also have more choices

im talking to an army recruiter right now but my heart is in the air force, but i feel like i want something a little harder like army. What are your thoughts? why’d you choose army
@@isaiahhart8445 All the branches may have you travel on deployments and some duty stations. As far as duty stations go, the Army really only goes to Korea for one year, and you might do Germany. If you are airborne you might get Italy. There maybe assignments in Turkey or Japan or Djibouti but those are rare and more likely with specific MOS. Other branches like Marines and Air Force are more likely to go to Japan. Air Force also does England, Spain and other places including Germany. *Keep in mind that you are on assignment and you are not a tourist* Also keep in mid that as a military servicemember you will have all these rules to follow. Then keep in mind the things you would do for your branch. In Germany for example, you'll go to the field in Grafenwoehr (I was there in the year 2020) or Hohenfeld ,and it really, really fucking sucks being cold and rainy all the time, and the idea of being in the Air Force where you wouldnt be doing that bullshit is really going to start sounding good.

You can do tuition assistance while you are in, but tuition assistance only goes so far (like one or maybe two courses a semester) and of course you can only do this online and not physically on a college campus while you're serving on active duty. Keep in mind that even this can be hard to do and keep up with depending on the MOS you get, depending on what type of unit you are assigned to (and how shitty the leadership can be at that unit) and to an extent, depending on the branch that you join (more of the Air Force would be more accepting of you doing college than more of the Army might. If you join the Army, and you get a job that puts you in forscom, things are going to be harder with going to the field for weeks at a time and even in the barracks if you get constant surprise room inspections even in the evenings).

If you felt that school made you feel stuck, then joining the military was the best option for you. Not because you weren’t hardworking, it just means you needed a change in direction to follow your true passion. since you said you wanted to visit places and learn new things. @@liamkroll4537 I'd do that but I just need an opportunity to get their to join.
@@liamkroll4537 he can’t join unless he has a green card (permanent residence)
Being a 91B isn't bad but it also depends on your unit
You probably already aware of this, but the US army isnt the ONLY army. Yes, we are the best. And yes, we win almost all the wars (I dont know how Vietnamese's did it, I think they was hacking), but join the military for your region. if that's Russia, Iserial, China, ect there's a place for you. Or, maybe your country just suck. Theres jobs out there like security or law enforcement that can be somewhat similar to the army experience
Definitely joining the military. I’m going to West Point and then commissioning as a 2nd lieutenant.
Solid plan !
join the air force not the army or marines or navy........there is your answer.
@@golfery5119 I was a single E-2 and moved out of the dorms and rented a house with two other E-2's.

Hey Aaron, What military branch is the easiest to get into athletically?
And what branch is the easiest to get into mentally (Knowledge/Booksmart)?
Just asking, Because I'm not 100% sure what military branch I want to join.
The Army overall isn't very strict on requirements so if you're really interested id say the army is the way to go do your research in other branches
Easiest to get into athletically: Army
Academically: Airforce/space force
Hope that helps !

Aaron, I know you are not a financial advisor but can you make video on how to stake money while in the army
what do you mean by "stake"
I meant keep money well in the army
I wanna join but I’m having mixed emotions about it on one hand I wanna set that foundation for my life and be good forever but on the other I’m scared shitless of the lifestyle change and being sold a raw deal by some POS recruiter I’m 22 years old I work at Wendy’s and stay with my mother.

And if you would say that you are considered it, in what sense would you be considered government property?
you do belong to the government.
Don't do aviation
Why ?
@@AaronbTV Why I wanna do aviation or why my paperwork is still processing?
I am 33 and considering joining the army. From your experience and point of view is that too old to even consider it today? I qualified for B11 infantry
If you can keep up physically you’re fine. Working with younger people may show different maturity levels tho

Leave November 14th for reception !!
im talking to an army recruiter right now but my heart is in the air force, but i feel like i want something a little harder like army. What are your thoughts? why’d you choose army
Literally in the SAME BOAT like I also want to travel across the world and the army does that
No such thing as "harder", every branch is what you make of it.
Be a PJ in the air force

@@AaronbTV ohhh ok and your just taking Cyber Security for college
How you do the college thing ? Can you explain it please ?
