I find it tremendously ironic, that we are being told again, that this game can lead to suicide, but it's a large part of the publishers, the developers and the fan base this time.
I'm a Christian and you need to know most of us are not so naive as to think a game of pretend is summoning demons. I don't know any Christians that do. Sometimes I wonder if these kind of posts are just trolling...
That may be--however, I have been told by 1 Catholic and 1 Christian Fundamentalist that playing AD&D was equivalent to selling your soul to the Devil, and it also made you extremely vulnerable to demonic possession.
I totally understand, as I've mentioned in previous videos, one of my Gamesmasters is actually a former bishop (as I type he's running Bladerunner for my group), and he finds all this stuff crazy as well. I think that William Shnoebelen is just making things up for a living, his stories about the Catholic Church making him a Vampire for 2 years, is just so crazy it cannot conceivably be truthful, but he makes his living telling tales like that to people who hate Catholics (and Mormons, and D&D players, and Masons, etc, etc)
Hi, I am customizating a vehicle for shadowrun (I would glad a closer view of earth-like car vehicles in one video you could do) but mainly I would need only de numbers of weight and spaces of rolls royce phaeton and Mitsubishi nightsky.thanks
I don't think they've ever given exact figures for weight and spaces, I'd guess referring to similar real world vehicles (unless I'm picking you up wrong).
Given how crazy his stories are (being made into a Vampire for 2 years by the catholics, summoning the spirits of Jesus and Hitler by the Masons, and having sex with a fallen angel), I have difficulty believing he's being honest, and not just trying to rally hatred against these groups so he can gather donations.
Find it totally fascinating as well, but this guy (WIlliam Shnoebelen) doesn't feel honest to me. The stories he tells (being made into a Vampire for 2 years by the Catholic church for example) just seems designed to spread hatred against the various groups he dislikes and gets paid to speak against (catholics, mormons, masons, d&d players, etc, etc).
I enjoyed the video. Keep up the great work, fellow adventurer! 🤗
Many thanks, much appreciated.

Not sure what you mean, but I do spend a lot of my life oblivious to recent RPG news and stories.
Thanks for the warning about Fords. Will nobody think of the children?
I'm not sure I want the kind of people who panic like that thinking about children, not sure at all.
That CV of the author sounds like a Call Of Cthulhu character...or possibly Kult 🤔
It does sound fictional :D

christians should probably be asking bigger questions of themselves about their life choices than this one
You're quite right and if recent news doesn't indicate that, I don't know what does.
Sounds like someone couldn't tell reality from fiction.

This guy is just insane or totally naive of the game. Leaning towards insane.
This subject never fails to get my attention
