Heck yeah you’re getting it! Keep at it, with time and practice you’ll get more and more consistent and the muscle memory will kick in. I ran some brand new out of the box Rotary chain (round-standard ground) last week and the difference was noticeable. I never want to go back to round filing again (other than on semi-chisel chain, cutting dirty logs)
@@dubbssawshop pretty soon you will be trying to polish those teeth. I know polished knife blades cut like 15% more efficiently than non polished. lol. Anything for an advantage!
Not 100% sure, never figured it out myself, it's like a red-ish wood, but cuts similar to poplar but it's a bit harder i think. Not soft but not hard either, but it burns hot and quick.

@@stannelson2582 ohh yea!!! I did order me a few new files, got a Vallorbe and a 2pk of Forester double bevel files on the way.
