Hey guys, thanks for watching and as always, please let me know your thoughts.
The Erin Moriarty video which was posted last week has been by far the best performer of my longer videos, but I’m now moving with the goal of under 5 minute videos, due to increased watch time and hope of going more viral.
Comment your thoughts and be brutal!
Better than the last video imo. Some well-meaning constructive criticism:
1) A bit clearer than last time, but for a long-form video that you're trying to present professionally and factually, you're still speaking a bit fast, or mumble-y maybe, just not crisply yet I guess. I would advise either slowing down a bit if you're going to stick with a more formal presentation style, or embrace the faster talking style like your shorts already use, and adopt a wacky, exaggerated editing style that would match that energy (although I don't think you wanted to do the second style?). A couple of sessions with a diction/speaking coach may also help, or singing/theater/speech class, just something public-performance related in general really.
2) The editing/scripting felt much smoother in this video. It will take time to develop into your own style/brand, so don't get discouraged yet, just making a point, but it feels like you're on the right track. I really like the idea of 5 minute videos for now, while you get your long-form style/brand/flow established.
3) Sit up straight. The slouching works for more personal times of a video (like the end of the Erin Moriarty video), and therefore leaning in to connect to the audience makes sense, but for any factual/unbiased-ish parts (like this entire video and the first part of the Moriarty video), sitting up will help present an air of confidence and enhance trust in what you're saying. I think I may also just have a pet peeve against slouching in general 😅

I think that phrase is pretty commonly said. If she asked for it to be changed and they refused, then she has a good point. Otherwise, she might have over reacted a bit.
Dang. I would hope Tina even if she didn’t personally know that was something Lindsay was called would have the sense that it would be hurtful to all women with red hair. Disappointing

I now feel really old when a video that’s less than 5 min is called "full length." I still remember when most UA-camrs were trying to hit that sweet spot of the 10 min mark for max engagement and ad revenue.

Honesty, I don't consider it an insult. The drapes match the blinds. That means your natural, Ms. Lohan's hair is gorgeous. Being young in the 2000s I wished I looked like her. That being said if that's a trigger for her, Tina Faye lost the plot. 😢
