Today im taking a look at the Jordan 1 Starfish! These are inspired by Michael Jordans Kit he wore in the exhibition match when he shattered the backboard dunking. They released here in the Uk/EU earlier however will only drop in the US on October 27th.
There a lot of details on this pair of Jordan that separate it from typical Jordan 1 release so be sure to catch the full review for all the details!

Super underrated pair. I love the orange and brown mix but being a size US 13M, I don't think Ill ever be able to get these for personal.

Inspired by Hermes Birkin bag hence the orange and brown colouring... additional stitching on side panel and brown keyring pays homage to the bags too. One of the best drops this year imo!! Might double up if I catch and L on the lost and found 1's

Agreed, the talk about being a shattered BB colorway is just smoke so Hermes can’t sue. Love everything except i with the sock liner was a smooth nylon like the reverse shadows and was in that same brown as the collar
Great comparison video… they did feel like an ‘85 cut…. Good eye Elliot, great catch of the details. I think the brown is nice actually. It’s a change of pace… and makes it more like a Fall colorway.

Originally marketed as an homage to Birkin Bags, Nike is trying to market them as part of the Shattered Backboard series here in the US. Probably trying to garner more sales on our side since they seemed to have just been sitting in the UK/Asia region.

I love these, a great fall shoe. The Chenilles went up to a size 13.5 W (12 M) here in China so I was able to cop a pair but these only go up to 44.5 cm so I’ll be missing out on these to the delight of my wife.
I gonna get some brown laces when my pair arrives, i think it will pop nicely

The brown make this show better. Makes it more of a Fall Colorway and be able to rock with neutral brown colors
got this one here in canada about 2 weeks ago. and the brown hang tag is actually a keychain.
The shoe is based on the Brikin Bag Purse, which has subtle hints reflecting small details on the bag itself. ie. the random stitched line on the side near toebox, the extra hangtag and the leather edges highlighted in brown. Has Nothing to do with anything regarding the Shattered Backboard Jordan 1 concept...

In asia we the release it a lot earlier.. received my pair already.. put on brown lace it just make thepair look much more luxurious ‘hermes’ vibes.. if u put on black laces it give u the sbb vibes

I love my pair, luckily a men’s 9. This shoe is absolute quality and fire on feet. The only haters are those who don’t appreciate Jays or those who can’t fit these. Either way I’m glad cause they were easy to cop

To me these are dope. Did the lace swap with thin brown rope lace, looks fire and better! The sail lace looks simple. I’m tellin you thin brown rope laces, get ‘em!

Though I really didn't like the glamour shots/B Roll footage of the baggy pants completely eating up those very details in the shoes LOL. Let them BREATHE man.

4:40 the white leather is definitely NOT the standard Jordan 1 High
Similar to the Chenille it's way too soft and thin, and it creases badly after 2 wears to the point that I don't want to wear it anymore.
Whilst my other Jordan 1 High men are creases up nicely after 50+ wear.
I know UA-camrs always say "The leather is soft and plush hence it's good leather" but it's not actually the case for the starfish and chenille. The cut is way too thin.

Very underrated colour-way imo, had these but send them back. Colours didn't really match my wardrobe. They give me a Hermes vibe by the way, not only colour wise, but also a certain luxury feel.
This womens Jordan 1 gives a nod to Hermes Birkin Bag. That is where the brown leather accents come in. Two things women love, a pair of sneakers and a handbag!
The wings logo is always smaller on a “Woman’s Exclusive” Jordan 1.

Didn't sell out in Canada either. I got my pair last week. Breaking to the orange with a brown swoosh would have made them better, but they are still great.

@@whosflair3716 restocked as of now. Full size run. Sometimes when a shoe isn't selling, nike will try to make it look like it's selling out when it isn't. They do this by selling out sized and then restocking over and over

The cut and shape is what all Jordan 1 retros are supposed to be in 2023 as they all are going to a closer to 85 cut
So far all the women’s 1’s this year have been in the 85 cut & I’m loving it! It’s much more flattering ❤

These will go hard in the U.S. the only thing that will hold them back is the women's sizing. That was a big mistake IMO.

@@TrvvonxLeonn I’m a US mens 10.5 so I went with the women’s 12. Your men’s UK 9 should be a men’s US 10 which is equivalent to a US women’s 11.5.
For Jordan brand US Men size + 1.5 = US women’s size. Also US Men size - 1 = UK Men size.
UK 9 men’s = US 10 Men’s = US 11.5 Women’s = EU 44. All of these should fit the same for Jordan 1s.

It’s because these are a women’s exclusive. That basically just means that they don’t produce the bigger sizes for this colorway.
Never brought Jordan 1s before, do you go true to your size or higher or lower, as I take a UK size 8 normally
I'd recommend trying them on but I use true to size or half size up
