I remember playing the KFC one as a child. I remember reading a first few of the PSAs and thinking "wow, KFC sure is bad," and skipping all the cutscenes because I didn't like how they were treating my childhood hero, Mario.
I hate that they made mario a """bad guy"""" by making him enjoy yoshi races when they could've gone with the fact that mario literally punches yoshi to make him stick out his tongue (and pit sacrificing too)
In the art of Super Mario World, it's shown that Mario is pointing forward, he doesn't punch him also Yoshi being dropped into a pit is not Canon as that's the player choice, it doesn't effect the story or is mentioned
How do they think he’s killing tanooki? He literally became one with his face, though saying that makes it sound even creepier somehow. He literally touches a leaf!! A FREAKING LEAF!!
6:41 I just wanna say it's really jarring to go from mildly fun cartoony platformer, to actual slaughterhouse footage. Like I get that PETA wants to send a message, but this just comes off like an edgy prank that someone would do to mess with kids
My parents gave me a rule when I was younger to not download things off the internet they didn’t trust. I downloaded New Super Chick Sisters. They never found out, and I didn’t make it to the “free video”, but I was always confused about Mario’s dialogue. Now I know that game was made by PETA. Thanks!
1:15 The problem with this is that it could just as easily be an advertisement for cannibalism. Hobestly,I'm kinda hungry right now and my immediate instinct is just to take a bite and not in a sexual way.
Ah, yes. I remember the KFC one. I, as a small child at the time, was against animal abuse. I wasn't expecting too extreme stuff, cause yknow, I was a kid. So here I was expecting a happy, lighthearted game, and then I got to the KFC building. Blood everywhere, spooky music, yet here I was trying to push through. Then a bonus came up. It sent me to UA-cam. Little me watched chickens being slaughtered in horrid ways. Ones that a child shouldn't be shown at that age. I told my dad what I saw, showed him, he blocked the site after that and comforted me afterwards. It scarred me, and sometimes I still get a nagging, sick to my stomach feeling when I go to KFC since the video effected me so bad.
Peta games always have such crappy context and lore to them but somehow have a special shine, still wont stop me from eating my chicken nuggets though.
I remember playing these when I was little back in 2006, and I literally absorbed nothing of the facts PETA was trying push in the game. All I cared about was playing the game.
I actually played the kfc one as a small child I couldn't read back then so I had no idea what was going on so it was just a simple bird platformer for me ps. I thought the blood was ketchup and didn't know kfc for some reason
If this was a game without blood and then just a parody about saving a girl who got turned into a toy by McDolnalds it would have been better. Oh and without the messages about the chickens.
I played the first game when I was a kid. I also remember burger enemies from the second one, so probably played that as well and when you said about animal abuse video I suddenly remembered I had seen one back then. By the look of things it was from the second game, but I'd actually doubt that. I think I got that in the first. It was showing chickens on meat hooks I believe. Damn, that was one heck of a lost memory.
I remember playing the KFC version as a little kid while surfing the internet unsupervised. I remember it being so boring that I didn't even bother finishing it, and being unphased by the blood because it honestly looked more like ketchup to me. I'm kind of glad that was the version of the game I played, because although I stumbled upon one of their "educational" videos later in life, I'm not sure I'd have ever recovered if I saw that fresh hell out of nowhere as a kid. I was an adult with a love of nasty, bloody horror films when I saw that train wreck years later, and I'm STILL haunted by that shit to this day. I can't even imagine seeing that shit as a CHILD.
While not Mario related, PETA also made a Super Meat Boy parody called Super Tofu Boy. Team Meat responded by making Tofu Boy into an actual playable character…and he can’t even get past the first few levels.
I grew up on flash games and for some reason I played the KFC Chick Sisters game a lot. The PETA messages went completely over my head and I didn't even know what PETA or veganism was. Luckily, I don't remember seeing any graphic animal videos
I played this game when I was much younger and the fact about retired Race Horses completely flew over my head because they were Yoshis instead. Education 100
5:11 That's basically a reference to the campaign PETA did where they were like, "Do you like eating fish? Well, imagine them as kittens and tell us what you think of them!".
and the scary thing is. i remember playing the older version of that game on a game website as a rlly young kid, i couldn't even understand the most simple english words like "yes" or "no" but phew im lucky it was the older version that doesnt show video. I thougth the blood in the game was ketchup cuz mcdonalds
I think the yoshi abuse is refrencing how some players jump off of yoshi so that they don't fall into pits, and although that was a peta game, i found it kinda funny. Btw I'm going to go to kfc and order some chicken breasts.
Man! this is perfect. i know Peta is fucking terrible and we can all tell it, but the reason i like this so much is that i played this when i was a little kid like a really dumb and i loved the mario rip offs that were out at the time. and didnt know anything about english so it was just "haha cute mario game" luckily i later got a wii amd was banned from "mom's laptop" haha. i dont remember any animal abusing videos tho, maybe i either didnt get far enough to trigger it or my mom was protecting the little dumb idiot that was me XD

@@sharkshrek4154 its canon he hits yoshi
@@superk9letsplays419 in art of super mario world, it shows mario pointing forward not punching yoshi

I can say they hate furries to the point it’s a massive joke in the community and it’s a honor to be blocked by them on twitter
“Use her as a toy for her happy meals” AYO what he be doing 💀
shrinking and cloning her to make mini-andersons
"oh man i need to buy some fur right now"
6:48 this out of context is so fucking funny
the difference in kid friendly is that the blood is tomato , a tasty and healthy vegetable unlike the nasty meats
For people who hate Mario games, they know quite a lot about them.
I wonder what craziness they'll do when they realize that Sonic eats chili dogs
@@Spongyboi897 don't think you are safe just yet after they hear the krusty krab sells burgers
Remember playing these insanely gory Mario parodies as a kid in computer class, dunno how the teachers let that slide........
I remember finding super chick sisters and I actually didn't think anything like "I wanna be vegetarian"
My parents gave me a rule when I was younger to not download things off the internet they didn’t trust. I downloaded New Super Chick Sisters. They never found out, and I didn’t make it to the “free video”, but I was always confused about Mario’s dialogue. Now I know that game was made by PETA. Thanks!
It's suprising that Peta is accusing Mario of killing tanookis instead of going after him for all the Koopas and Goombas he killed.
The video bonus thingy shoudnt of been inculdid in the game.
"it sent me to youtube"
"he blocked the site"
how tf did you comment?
@@doctoonnThey meant the site that contained the game
they didnt include that information@@WahooMarioIsBack

the last one is basically 101 dalmation
Peta games always have such crappy context and lore to them but somehow have a special shine, still wont stop me from eating my chicken nuggets though.
Eat dem chicken nuggies
@@DreamyyArt I want nuggies
Ah Yes, i do indeed wanna become a furry after seeing mario grab a leaf and call it a tanooki
I remember playing these when I was little back in 2006, and I literally absorbed nothing of the facts PETA was trying push in the game. All I cared about was playing the game.
I actually played the kfc one as a small child I couldn't read back then so I had no idea what was going on so it was just a simple bird platformer for me
ps. I thought the blood was ketchup and didn't know kfc for some reason
everyone knows fish arent real animals
peta can ruin your childhood by making 1 game
If this was a game without blood and then just a parody about saving a girl who got turned into a toy by McDolnalds it would have been better. Oh and without the messages about the chickens.
What's more funny is that Yoshis are sentient by canon, so it's like protesting against Olympic runners lmao
Peta: Angry that a fictional animal is racing
Also peta: Kills 98% of the real, breathing animals in their "shelters"
Please, don't tell Peta about Inscription, where we should literally sacrifice different animals.
I played this game when I was much younger and the fact about retired Race Horses completely flew over my head because they were Yoshis instead. Education 100
5:11
That's basically a reference to the campaign PETA did where they were like, "Do you like eating fish? Well, imagine them as kittens and tell us what you think of them!".
and the scary thing is. i remember playing the older version of that game on a game website as a rlly young kid,
i couldn't even understand the most simple english words like "yes" or "no" but phew im lucky it was the older version that doesnt show video.
I thougth the blood in the game was ketchup cuz mcdonalds
Me: “Mom can we get a Mario game?”
Mom: “we have Mario at home”
Mario at home:
Did PETTA forgot theres also mascots clothing made out of string, that is made of sheep hair🤦♂️
I think the “Happy Meal” that came out of the question box might’ve been tofu?
I think the yoshi abuse is refrencing how some players jump off of yoshi so that they don't fall into pits, and although that was a peta game, i found it kinda funny. Btw I'm going to go to kfc and order some chicken breasts.
Nintendo should sue them tbh
1:15i see so the massage is that I can start eating humans?
Next Peta is gonna collab with that vegan teacher to make super vegan teacher 64 XD
Man! this is perfect. i know Peta is fucking terrible and we can all tell it, but the reason i like this so much is that i played this when i was a little kid like a really dumb and i loved the mario rip offs that were out at the time. and didnt know anything about english so it was just "haha cute mario game" luckily i later got a wii amd was banned from "mom's laptop" haha. i dont remember any animal abusing videos tho, maybe i either didnt get far enough to trigger it or my mom was protecting the little dumb idiot that was me XD
Hww did they even get away with using Mario IP? I would assume Nintendo would shut them down ASAP
3:50 the dialogue is wrong they stun the chickens and then kill them while they are unconscious
Pikachu: *is owned by ash as a pet and loves him*
Peta: ANIMAL ABUSE!
Peta is known for taking loved pets from their owners and killing them...
You know *to* *save* *them*
I thought mario was just a furry
7:18 The level design reminded me of the bonus levels from the Master System and Game Gear versions of _Sonic 1._
12:14 Why did his face remind me of my country's president?
Every kid wanted Pamela Anderson as a toy in our unhappy meals and my Nintendog’s only eat the yoshi brand
To be honest if you look at Mario when he makes the yoshi stick their tongue out he punches the yoshi
OK I remember playing this game and the peta things never came across because we never got passed the first level
1:56 Ronald be looking like Archibald Snatcher from box trolls
Mario wearing a tanooki suit isn't bad because he never killed any tanookis. But, does that make him a...
*furry?*
how does nintendo dont care about these which cause actual threat to mario franchise but immadietly sue the mario fan games that make the game even more popular
I remember actually playing these as a kid.
I'm an animal lover now, and I'm not sure how much of an impact this game had on that lol
This looks like a flash game parody on Newgrounds
