You were recommended to me by a professor at CTU, and I'd consider it to be a good recommendation as your explanations are indeed very concise and clear. As someone with virtually no real marketing background your approach is a huge help.
Excellent presentation! I shall use it tomorrow in a class session. I was a Fulbright scholar at PSU in 1990 and I am glad that the instructors there continue to be innovative in teaching.
I have been teaching marketing for more than a decade now, the video is excellent as it starts from basics and then moves further to provide practical examples, thanks for sharing . it is proving to be useful in my sessions as well
Pricing is one of most significant aspects of marketing and perception of an overall business value. Pricing automatically generates a perception of the brand and immediately sends a message to the client about the perception of value the company has for the brand. The pricing methods discussed; cost focused, competition focused, and customer value based, helped define pros and cons of each approach. Cost because it only factors how much the company spent, fails to take into account what the competition is doing. Competition based pricing somewhat ignores the client value and is likely to promote a price war which hurts margins. Customer based helps understand the client requests and possibly be a good method which can ultimately draw attention and bigger competition which can later turn into a price war issue. Pricing execution understands how much the customer is actually paying after discounts, promotions, etc… The best pricing execution takes into account both aspects of pricing, the methods and execution, in order to set a price and ensure that price is executed. Having worked in the hotel industry, I noticed that the revenue maximization departments help with pricing and follow these methods proposed. Any business I create will ensure these pricing methods and execution techniques will be implemented to ensure the most optimal ever evolving price for our service/products.
Sir, I must say, your videos are very useful, they're in a very simplified and entertaining way! Thank you so much for every second of time & effort you spent on doing such tutorials!
Thank you so much Dear Sir, I am teaching marketing management subject, its really helpful...i want to add one thing that we need more examples for each topics.. thank you once again.
Hi! I´m already studying marketing but I find fascinating to hear different points of view. Sometimes one person my skip or miss points and I think you have a very clear way to explain things. Thanks and I already subscribe to your channel :)
Wow. Sir I really like the method of your teaching. Firstly, its very sequential which helps in understanding each concept properly, as we can understand the topics individually. Secondly, the approach to each topic is very simple, besides being informative. Moreover, the examples let us understand the practical usage of the concepts.
sir really interest and informative, i used this in my lectures and my student also watched ...i wish you all the best ..and upload some video clips....thanks
This was great, I've been looking for "what is the primary role of an ad server?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Senarper Marvelous Superiority - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to get paying clients using paid traffic minus the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my mate got great results with it.
Hi Brain, I hope that you can create some videos on global marketing because we need to teach our students to also understand the impact of global marketing and globalization. Excellent videos... Thanks, Dr. Castro
Thank you sir, that was very simple, easy to understand and informative.. u mention that there are 2 type of channels (direct and indirect),out of curiosity, what about Franchise? lets assume, fast food restaurants. thank you..
Ahmed, thanks for the question. A franchise model would be indirect since there is an intermediary between the producer and the customer.A franchise distribution model can appear to be direct because there are strict controls on the intermediary, but it is indirect since the franchises are not owned by the producer. Ahmed Bakori
Brian, thank you very much! the video is perfect and easy to understand ! Would you plz give me some suggection about improving the distribution of department store ?
Very good! I just have one question. You said that Stihl chainsaws are an indirect form of distribution, but wouldn't it be direct because Stihl saws are sold by authorized Stihl dealers?
+Anshu Nidamanuri Please ask Vladimir to get in touch. I'm planning a video on how to avoid price wars in the crude oil industry and I'd love his input.

Would you plz give me some suggection about improving the distribution of department store ?
魏翎 I'm glad you found the video helpful. Please tell me more about the department store and the distribution challenges.
Hey Brain, It's about taking account into the rather large diversity of distribution managed by the department store, such as Debenhams.
Thank you.
Very good! I just have one question. You said that Stihl chainsaws are an indirect form of distribution, but wouldn't it be direct because Stihl saws are sold by authorized Stihl dealers?
+Luke Young Thank you for the question! It is indirect because Stihl does not own the dealers. For the most part, they are independent businesses.
