I’ll add my gratitude for Ellie recovering from her illness. For the cabin and the wood stove, looks to be a game changer! They are so versatile…they provide heat (even dry clothes!), another cooking source, a light source, they are a natural source of entertainment - I can watch a fire for hours, and a great source of comfort. A welcomed addition I’m sure.

The stove and the solar panel were major upgrades to your cabin. Ellie is a beast when it comes to swimming in the cold water. Really good to hear she is doing well with her health issues. Hey Jack so glad Ellie recovered. I had to endure a similar ordeal with my little pup not so long ago, he was crying constantly and had no control over his bowels, I got the vet to come out and take him for tests to see what was wrong with him and sure enough, he had tick borne parasites in his blood, his liver was failing and he also had pancreatitis. It was a horrible time as he was hospitalized for about 2 weeks but they took good care of him even though he was on a drip most of the time. Now I try to make sure he is kept up to date with his tick and flea plus anti worming treatments and of course his annual inoculations. That was probably the worst time of my life as he is my pal and constant companion. All the best mate

He's been gone for 2yrs now, but yet, I think about him every day. He ate & crapped out so many stuffed toys that I joked that he was producing his own "Buddy Babies"!

FYI, when making fried rice, Asian chefs will tell you that day old chilled rice gives the best results and in addition to the ingredients you used, a little Sesame Oil at the end of cooking gives it a blast of flavor. Still dry here in the San Bernardino Mountains of SoCal, and I'm just fine with that. We got hammered by 27 feet of snow this past winter, so if we only got one foot of snow on Christmas eve this year and nothing else, I would be just fine with that. I had my dear 15 year old big ol' black cat Jinx just go downhill very quickly a few years ago and waste away. It was so very sad. 😥 Thanks for sharing your cabin adventures with us-- the new stove looks so cool! (Well, hot, actually!) Though the gunshots were unnerving.

I love to watch your channel. You are great, your wife is wonderful and Olivia is absolutely gorgeous but Ellie...well, there is just nothing like a dog that loves you. When she didn't eat I said "Oh no". I've loved and lost more precious dogs in my 65 years than I care to mention so I know that horrible feeling. When you said that she is fine, I felt such relief.
