DJ, just wanted to tell you that your deck techs are amazing. So well paced, entertaining to watch, and the commander are so intriguing as build-arounds. Good job!
Aww, thank you! WOTC does a great job of giving us really interesting cards. I really like Neheb and I can't wait to build around more cards from War of the Spark
I'm so glad that you made a deck tech for this Neheb, and so fast too! I'm excited for this commander! A strong, cheap commander that draws, ramps, and has graveyard synergy!
I've recently been building an Olivia, Mobilized for War, Madness deck and this Neheb fits it PERFECTLY. I'm so excited for war of the spark and can't wait to get to play him and the other amazing cards in the set!
I saw this Commander and was instantly excited when I saw that you did a deck tech for him. Massacre Girl was spoiled today, and I hope to see a deck tech of her from you. Either way, hell of a job with this one! Keep it up!
Hey DJ, just wanted to say great job on all your builds you produce. They're really fun and quite optimized, I've had a lot of fun copy pasting your Windgrace build. Now I consider myself a cat daddy but that Tolsimir card in WotS looks really fun to build around too. Let me know if you'd build something around him and how you'd do it!
library of leng actually seems pretty nice as a way to keep some cards while still generating mana. No maximum hand size is also nice. Plus, it still works decently well with cards like faithless looting, and it could let you miracle a reforge the soul.
I'm actually leaning away from her ... and it does pain me to say this. I'm only leaning away because I'm more excited about a different Un-Commander :D
@@JumboCommander surely lilianan will reanimate him. That's why gideon sacrificed himselfe. Hopfully. Otherwise I will be angry and attack WOTC with a host of angels, demons and dragons.
It felt a little weird not seeing any attention given to the Madness approach. Discarding so many cards while generating mana for each of them is a pretty good ground to use said mechanic to advance your board advantage... But other than that, deck looks amazing! Pretty good job :)
Griselda is a really, really fun deck. But I totally suggest doing a deck tech for Garna. I built her as a ridiculous recursion deck with a ton of cost reduction and if she gets going I just destroy the table by cycling all my creatures. She's a lot of fun.
He is going directly into my built from scratch deck, I use Feldon as my commander.... Plan would be to attenot to get hin down early, send a bunch of artifact creatures to the graveyard and begin to copy them.
I prefer the older Neheb as he is so extremely explosive and not so combat reliant like the new one. I often times played my Neheb, dropped a mana geyser and basically burned everyone to a crisp, all in the same turn. If it didn't work that time, 9/10 times I did it on my next turn. Casting flame rift for 2 and getting 12 mana is just so much more satisfying then having to dump a lot of cards from your hand in order to generate mana. You can clearly see in the design of the new Neheb how Wizards see they made a mistake with the old one and toned this one down.
David Franco I was wondering, wizards ban list has some silver bordered cards which added to my confusion. magic.wizards.com/en/game-info/gameplay/rules-and-formats/banned-restricted
@@weiryknight iirc that is ban list that they put when they said that silver cards were legal, because those are too damn broken (ex: infinite mana) or weird (ex: affect the next game). Is interesting that is still there, I guess people liked it
Why isn't this deck tech about Tolsimir. I demand a Tolsimir tribal wolf deck tech. Hecc, he is even better than ulrich for werewolves, damn you selesnya colors! you should have red!
No Madness mechanics added, eh? This Neheb has the potential to be devilish with madness... Also, in a deck with a lot of spells, maybe Runechanter's Pike or even Spellbinder.
I added Runechanters Pike and Avacyn's Judgement to my list ... I don't think the madness cards we have are good enough for commander. They are just value creatures ... I was unimpressed. I honestly think that Avacyns Judgement is an easy cut ... probably for Spellbinder :)
@@JumboCommander Yeah, after a short search in scryfall i have to agree that red doesn't benefit that much from madness. But still, the Pike is pure gold.
You should really do an Oros the Averager deck. Oros is a 6/6 Legendary Creature Dragon for 3WBR that reads "Flying Whenever Oros, the Avenger deals combat damage to a player, you may pay 2W. If you do, Oros deals 3 damage to each nonwhite creature."

Tolsimir is really cool. I can't wait to see how my new Selesnyia wolves deck turns out :D

Great deck tech as always. I'm super hyped for new Neheb and you have given me plenty of ideas of how to use him to his full potential.
Key to the City seems good in Neheb! Makes him unblockable, discards your cards for grave synergy and draws you cards too!
Solid suggestion. I'm sure artifact builds would LOVE that card.

Me: "Sweet, another Warrior to throw in Najeela!"
Wow. Spoiler-tech. How avant garde!
"the thing that's on the screen right now" Love it
I blanked and I wasn't doing a second take. Gotta keep up the pace when it's spoiler season!
One of the really nice things for this neheb is that it gives boros a way to draw cards and mana ramp through attacking and dealing combat damage

Nice deck tech. Fun with storrev, devkarin lich in a yildris commander deck.
Neheb keeps evolving and becomes better with each new incarnation.
Now I'm rooting for Nicol Bolas to win just so we can get another even better Neheb :)
I think he's weaker than the previous Neheb as a commander. Better in the 99 though.
i want a Neheb planeswalker

Going to put this great card in my Niv-Mizzet, Parun deck once I get a foil copy.

I really wanna build spellslinger Neheb and abuse past in flames with it.
I wish Wotc would print more legendary creatures in 3 and 2 color combinations
I also want better 5 color creatures.....the ones we have are either too hard to build around OR too specific. Give me a general "good stuff" one

They should make more mono-color ones and two colors ones, but make them comparable and rewarding to do so.
