A lot of the hotels in S Myrtle Beach seems like they are run down They're hiring a lot of people from out of the United States that can't speak English I know they've had a hard time with the virus but they're definitely making up for and their prices now all of them need to be updated and remodel for what they want to charge you
We just stayed at Ocean Crest. It was nasty. If we didn't only stay one night we would have left. Dirty, trash in the hallways, rugs ripped, the floor in our unit was soft, lamp didn't work. The shade was yellow and dirty. I kept looking for bed bugs all night.
About 12 years ago I came down to MB on a house hunt alone arriving at 11:00 PM. I worked for AAA and the Polynesian was in the tourbook. I knew I was i trouble when they handed me an actual key. Then there were people yelling out the windows of the hotel. When I found the room I definitely didn't feel safe and returned back to the front desk and said, "This place is a dump," so you can refund my money in front of a crowd of people. The front desk clerk wasn't happy with me and said I'd lose my $15 deposit and I told her to keep it. I had them removed from the AAA Tourbook when I returned to NY! We did move here (Murrells Inlet) a year later and it's a beautiful place to live. You just don't go to the crappy hotels!
Thought you were putting holiday sands north on that list. I was about to have a thing or two to say😂 the staff there and the most friendly people I’ve ever met.
We just got back from M.B. yesterday and my parents rented a 5 bedroom 7 bathroom 3 story house with a private pool and an elevator for around 12,000 dollars a week, It was nice but still had issues. One room was warm and the rest were nice and cold, the shower in the 2nd nicest bedroom had no hot water and the shower drain backed up, the refrigerator had missing shelves and we needed a cooler to hold all 8 of our family's drinks, the carpets in the bedrooms and the seat cushions on the chairs had lots of stains and looked dirty. Just goes to show that money doesn't alway make it perfect. They looked into a dune beach house rental for next year but it was 20,000 for the week lol.
You get what you pay for, anywhere. And anyone who stays at a place where they don't accept credit cards is nuts. Christ, I'll let you have a bedroom / bathroom in my house just outside of town for $50 a night...and it includes a swimming pool and clubhouse! At least MB isn't as bad as Atlantic City, NJ.
The thing about it, some of these fleabag motels have the nerve to charge almost the same price as the better one's just because their on the ocean lol
@@playboymaxim Yes also by first glance on the reservation sites some of these places can be very deceiving to a stranger of the areas eyes.... Hi where would you recommend as an affordable place for a group of j1 students coming for the summer? I know oasis motel and fountainbleau inn are popular with j1s but they don't look very appealing to us. We wouldn't have a car so somewhere close to centre would be ideal
If you want to be in the center, I would map out anywhere between 7th and 14th Ave. on Ocean Blvd. Check the comments / reviews on each one to see what's good and bad for each. You can walk to many attractions like skywheel and boardwalk from there.
I stayed at a Days inn on Ocean boulevard and when I went out for the day and came back later on. They had checked someone in my room. When I open my door there were people just in my room with my belongings on the floor. This place was very loud when someone slam their door the whole front glass was shake. It was very moldy smelling. And you smell weed all the time.
I stayed there one time.. it was one time to many.. The bathroom in another guest room wasi working and so The Manager allowed my room as a bathroom stop. When he refused to change my room I left
I would just look closely at the reviews of some of the nicer ones. If you're in MB, Pier 14 is nice. Also, the new Springmaid pier at the end of Ocean Blvd is pretty nice too.
Watching back at your older videos I saw this one. I laughed the whole video. These should be reserved for college spring break kids. Only people that would stay there. I love the color of the pool water. Tells me where the water goes when you flush the toilet
I stayed at summer wind about 3 years ago, was supposed to get the one with the kichenette they did not give it to me. the rooms are updated per the pics online but it looked like kids from the highschool shop class came in and did it, or the pictures were older. stains all over the map shades. could not get into the pool because local teens would always crowd the pool. and once a female would get into the pool those kids would come back, my room was pool deck level walk out there is was but only got to spend about a half hour in it of my 4 day stay, House keeping was super nice though. if you are only worried about sleeping and plan to hang out in town or the beach all the time. then it would be ok. but their rates are just as high now as major resorts.

I want to ask some advice on one of the worst hotels we stayed at in Myrtle Beach recently, Bar Harbor which was an oceanfront room and cost me $193.99 for the night of Friday 9/10/21 when our bathroom ceiling halfway fell in and we woke up Saturday morning to standing in blackish nasty water cockroaches were everywhere there was a hole where someone had tried kicking in the door and it was covered in red duct tape there was also no door knob on the door to the balcony but when we awoke to standing in water and everything we owned was ruined in the bathroom and water was also coming down the walls behind the main door so that area was where our luggage was and I have pictures and receipts of all of this but the front desk clerk was rude and informed me that the manager could not be disturbed on a weekend and would be back on Monday so I have called everyday and left messages and emailed Dennis Smith the asst general manager and he has t returned none of my calls …. Should I get an attorney ??? Because this was traumatic to my daughter bc I wouldn’t let her wear anything new I bought her there bc I believe it was mold that was running down the walls with the water it actually set off her having an asthma attack but I really don’t know what or how to handle this situation especially since I can’t seem to ever get a hold of this man so if you have any advice then I truly would appreciate it……Thx so much disgusted with Bar Harbor the Roach Mold waste of space because they sure shouldn’t call themselves a hotel

The Days inn on the oceanfront I believe is right next to your number three choice and I've been told that it's the same owner on both sides of the Days inn including the days in Days inn is part of Wyndham rewards hotel ownership management and they're they're terrible
@4:32 - I may have mentioned this before on my other Channel. My wife and I stayed a Atlantic Paradise several times during the Winter. But the last time we were there, There were Porn stars staying on the same floor and they kept inviting my wife and me to do a movie scene with them(Mostly my wife since she had the nice booty 😉).It's got a crazy location, but it did me some good because I had to repair the starter in my Van and the parking lot had plenty of room. @5:28 - The room had a foul smell. May have been from those Porn Stars. @6:04 - The Guy that runs the sea Gypsy used to run the Admiral Inn .They always kept it clean tidy. What is "Free Self Parking".
If you want to stay at a good beach go to garden city, surf side, or (my personal favorite) pawleys island. They are all south of myrtle but still driving distance to the main attractions. They seem cleaner, quieter, and more family oriented. There is a reason they call it “dirty myrtle” I lived in myrtle and worked in Conway and I never went to the beach at myrtle. Always went south and enjoyed it much more.
Sadly, MB as a whole now is the worst place to vacation in SC . Drugs, sex and crime and shoddy landlords have ruined it! End of roaders paradise. In the last 20+ years MB has gone downhill faster than a bowling ball on Mount Everest! And that’s a fact! There are a lot of nice beaches to vacation at in SC but MB is not one ... anymore.
You may be right. I do hear that some places around MB are being revitalized to help cut out some of the issues it has gotten over the last few years. Hopefully it will get better. Thanks for the comments.
@@BeachinwiththeBoones you can revitalize all the areas you want too, it’s not going to solve or reduce MB’s problems until you address the drugs, sex, crime that is allowed by the city, landlords, and the citizens who live there. Or else MB will continue on its path to drive away and alienate families who just want to vacation without having to deal with MB’s massive underworld criminal issues that have literally destroyed a great place to vacation. It’s too late for MB, the bomb has already blown it away. Head south towards Charleston and Hilton Head. Peace out from Clemson SC !
I agree, I was born and raised there but I no longer live there. I moved to a little sleepy rural town about 30 miles from it in Horry County and love the peace and quiet. We locals call it murder beach.
Hello again. These two Hotels don't exist anymore, but they would have been great for this list. 1.Bon Villa, even though it was Oceanfront, The walls were so eaten up with salt spray ,The winds blew through them. 2: Sun Villa. Although It look very nice ,But you had to share your room with these Super Cock Roaches and the front Desk lady was always mis-charging people. She'd charged $35. 00 per night, then come to your room later and say she mischarged you and ask for an addition 10.00 pre night. Plus the doors didn't lock tight enough. We had the mailman walk in on us as my wife(girlfriend at the time) were in a very intimate position. Still lovin' your channel. Keep Beachin'
Thank you very much for sharing that information. Yes, many of these are in bad need of repairs or just put up new ones. Thanks again for the comments.
Coral Sands was a stabilized Party Bus. It was a cheap place to stay where Teens would come in to drink ,fight and party. We'd stayed there a couple of times.
You missed all of the crack motels on Flagg street . One block off Ocean Blvd. THE CALYPSO MOTEL at 1st and Flagg street is a discrase to call a motel. It's more of a transint hang out. Every motel on Flagg street is a scar on the name Myrtle Beach.
Please add to your list, The Crown Reaf resort on the oceanfront on the south side of Myrtle Beach, it's so out dated that the bathroom door barely closes, the room wasn't clean the floors felt sicky and the stuff in the rooms was horrible and it definitely wasn't worth the cost and I don't understand how they can call it a Resort I've stayed at Resorts before and they weren't nothing like that, it was like staying at a low in hotel. So my rating for them is a low 2 star 🌟 and I'm being nice about.
Wow. They let some just go down hill. Sure hope get a better place next time. We will do another list soon. May have to add it. Thanks for the comments.
Myrtle Beach is a dump ,saw people fighting on the street from my balcony at The South Bay Inn (very nice with a kitchenette) ....lots of dollar stores which I like because I,m.poor but they all sold these live crabs that were painted on and they stunk up the whole store ...walking down the main strip I saw a motel with a sign that said "WE HAVE COLOR TV " lol.
Some places are not as nice. Color TV? That's funny. Hope your next stay is better. You may want to try Surfside or North MB if you're looking for a change, but want to stay close to the action and attractions of MB. Thanks for the comments.
I have another one to add to your list. Iv'e stayed in many places at MB since the 80's and the WORST by far was...... Monterey Bay Suites. Take a look a that one. If the health department were to go look around there they'd shut it down in about 2 minutes. Filthy rooms showers don't work etc, etc. Just awful.
#5 had trash stuffed underneath the bed, plenty of it and the roaches were plentiful. Worst hotel ever, reported it with pictures, I rank it #0 We paid for ocean view and the only way to see the ocean was to leave the room (underneath the stairs) and go outside to the parking lot 👎🏽
So sorry for your experience. We hear stuff like that a lot. We hope your next visit will be much better. There are much better places around. Thanks for commenting.
The Polynesian is the absolute worst.... Just take a look it has more calls to 911 and the police visit there the most often in Myrtle Beach... What does all but one of these places have in common.... Location!!!!!!.... South Ocean boulevard used to be one of the nicest places to stay but anything south of family Kingdom just steer clear of!!!!
It would be nice if they could find a way to bring it back up to speed with the rest of the beach. It's too bad they let it go down so. Thanks for commenting.
When I Use To Go To Myrtle Beach S.C Every Year On Vacation We Always Stayed At Springmaid Beach Resort On Springmaid Blvd. Beautiful Resort On The Ocean Loved The Restaurant On The Premises Marlins Was Very Disappointed When The Hilton Took Over & Marlins Is No Longer There & Hotel Is Lousy Now!
I know, many people miss the old Springmaid. I went there every year with my grandparents and loved it. I still remember the old barracks-style rooms, and swimming in the kiddy pool where the seal is in the middle. Thanks for the comments.
the polynesian has little pets runninmg around for u just in case u didnt bring one of your own.the staff was rude only because u woke them up.this is outragious talk about such a fine establishment.if the sink stoped up its only because u used it.u people are just being unreasonible.i mean u are only paying them an arm and a leg to stay there for a night, what do u expect.
I've heard many stories of the Polynesian. We're working on an updated video for top worst and best. Hopefully we'll have it in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the comments.
OMG , My wife, son and I stay there one night in the winter of 1988. I wall were so bad that cold air blew through them. We check out the next morning . The next time we when , it had been torn down....Good redience.
Said think about it any of the top 5 motels you were reviewing Their property value is probably 10 times more than your net worth And on a personal noteYou and that girl need to realize that the eighties died years agoYou're not hip you're not cool And at your age you should know better And homeboy you need to put a leash on that gal she's not cool
Sun and Sand Resort is HORRIBLE. I am there as I type, will be leaving tomorrow. The elevator and lobby dirty, roaches on wall, had to put our items in plastic bags (couldn’t find anything else). The telephone lines weren’t working, the lobby bathroom DISGUSTING 🤢. The team making excuses about our complaints. We paid closed to 300.00 per night. This is my first hotel experience in this manner. If possible PLEASE stay away from this place…. DONT believe the advertising DONT!!!!!
We used to stay in the 70's and early 80's when I was a kid 4th of July week it was so crowded you might as well have walked were ever you needed to go . Sadly I dont remember much about the hotels we were to busy chasing girls . We are going back in March but staying in north myrtle beach dont like the crowds like I used to me and my wife just enjoy listening to the waves crash and laying on the couch watching movies.
Glad you enjoyed it. These were ranked by Booking.com. We actually stayed at one years back, and I don't remember it being so bad. Thanks for watching.

@6:04 - The Guy that runs the sea Gypsy used to run the Admiral Inn .They always kept it clean tidy. What is "Free Self Parking".
Thanks for the info. I'm not sure. I think it's just a gimmick to say Free parking. lol I suppose they are saying they wont park your car for you. lol
How'd the Viking miss this list?
Not sure, but we'll do another one and it may be on that one. Heard things about that one too. Thanks.
7 brothers, white sands & lancer too!
seacrest?
Yes. Go check out the one last month we did. The 8 best hotels in Myrtle Beach.
Thanks for the comments. We stay on the south end a good bit as well. As you mentioned, it's a bit more laid back. Thanks for sharing.
It seems that the older motels north of boardwalk are better maintained.
Yes, I think so as well. I'm not quite sure what makes a few miles apart so different. I assume all were on equal grounds back in the 60's.
Coral sands should be #1 he's the owner of the Sea Gypsy also. They had bed bugs and a dirty bloody mattress I have pictures on trip advisor
Horrible. We may need to do a part 2. Thanks for the info.
Coral Sands was a stabilized Party Bus. It was a cheap place to stay where Teens would come in to drink ,fight and party. We'd stayed there a couple of times.
I won’t stay at anything looking like Champlain Towers anytime soon. I have always disliked tall buildings as a phobia. Now it’s magnified…
Some can be really bad. Thanks for the comments.
Windsurfer house keepers stole my stuff
Now that is horrible. Hope your next visit is much nicer. Thanks for commenting.
Won't stay in myrtle Beach normally stay at prince resort at cherry Grove pier
Prince Resort is very nice. It was on our top list of places in NMB.
Ocean reef resort is actually good place to stay
Cool. We'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the feedback.
We stayed at the Darlington the owner was extremely rude we had planned to stay a few months during the off season
Wow. If they are taking money from people, they should be nice - not rude. Thanks for the comments.
I know. There are bad ones out there. Hopefully one day, they will be replaced with nicer ones. Thanks for the comments.
You forgot bar harbor roach motel
Yes, we've heard some things about that one. We need to check it out. Thanks.
You left out a few! Bermuda Sands! And ocea. Plaza Rat holes
Lol. I'll need to look at those. They may need to be included. Thanks.
I stayed there in May of 2021. Prostitution and open drug dealing. Elevator smelled of urine and puke on the 5th floor hallway.
Myrtle Beach is a brand new ghost town
Hopefully, they can get it back the way it used to be. Thanks.
Just awful.
We'll do another one soon. Have to look at that one too. Thanks for sharing.
I agree. Stayed there last year, awful experience.
We found the biggest roach ever it was the size of my finger it was so big in Atlantic paradise I don’t recommend staying there
Some places are really bad. Thanks for the comments.
i stayed in ocean crest and trust me it’s worse than that
Hope your next trip will be much better. Thanks for watching.
#5 had trash stuffed underneath the bed, plenty of it and the roaches were plentiful. Worst hotel ever, reported it with pictures, I rank it #0
We paid for ocean view and the only way to see the ocean was to leave the room (underneath the stairs) and go outside to the parking lot 👎🏽
So sorry for your experience. We hear stuff like that a lot. We hope your next visit will be much better. There are much better places around. Thanks for commenting.
OMG no!!
Sadly, except for the Polynesian, there are MANY worse places to stay in Myrtle Beach.
True. We hope the revitalization of MB helps the places that are run down and improve them. Thanks for watching.
Me over here like I hope Waikiki villiage motel isn’t on this list
I don’t even know what ocean Blvd is cause I’m just a kid
We'll look at that one next time. It didn't show up so it may be good. Thanks for the comments.
It was cool a long time ago.
I love staying at Ocean One
We heard it was great too. We've never stayed there, but maybe one day we'll get the chance. Thanks.
Thank y’all
You are welcome.
Another is the Sandcastle at the Pavilion
We've heard that too. Thanks for the comments.
@@BeachinwiththeBoones mold, bed bugs
@@rosalynsmith4928 Now, that's bad
Every time I went up there bums begged me for money and cigarette s
You are right, some parts of MB are kind of sketchy. Thanks for the comments
@@BeachinwiththeBoones your wecome i live in tensee about 6hrs from there some times i go up there 3 or 4 times a year
If all those things were wrong with those hotels, that don't deserve a 4. Nothing, they should have a zero rating
I know. If we ranked them personally, they would have had different scores I'm sure. Thanks for watching.
When we go on vacation we are in the room to sleep and shower. Who cares? Why wouldnt you want to save money?
True. Especially in these times. Money is getting hard to come by. Thanks for commenting.
I've been on the south side. But not at those places. Motels, I don't go to! If it little like these, I ain't going. I like the north side.
There's still a few good ones left, but Slim Pickens. But the north end does have nice ones. Thanks for the comments.
Pharmaceuticals and available women conveniently located on the premises.
This must have been made after Rosen Sea was shut down
Not sure. We just got the information at the end of the year and rode around to tape them. But it's possible. Thanks for watching.
South end is a no no
I sure wish it was as nice as other parts of the beach.
You should of had the "South Seas" on that list.
We'll have to do another one soon. Thanks for the suggestion.
I stayed at The Palette Resort last week and it’s the nastiest place I’ve ever seen in my life!
Very sorry to hear that. Hope your next visit is much better. We've had some bad one's too. It makes your vacation less enjoyable. Thanks for sharing.
Palette Resort?
I live in myrtle beach
You probably see a lot of good and bad things. Thanks for the comment.
Patricia Grand is awesome!!
I know. Super big too. Thanks for the comment.
We have seen you in person
Hope you said hello. Be safe.
Not a happy place just looks nice. Alot of people not help.
Thanks for commenting.
Bon villa Ocean front in the 90s
Now that's a name, I haven't heard in quite some time. Is it still there? We'll do an updated one for this year soon and look for it. Thanks.
OMG , My wife, son and I stay there one night in the winter of 1988. I wall were so bad that cold air blew through them. We check out the next morning . The next time we when , it had been torn down....Good redience.
@@PlayingInVestapol The motel is still there as of April 2024
Sorry bon Villa is torn down
@@sheltonwood1014 Thank the LOrd
i love it
Thank you very much.
Thanks
El Sindo in nmb in 1970 80 s was most lewd
Wow. That one is new to me. I never heard of that one. Thanks for watching.
I’m going to oyo 2 stars-
Then be careful.
Those aren't even close to the worst ones. 🤣
You are right, there are a lot. We made a newer list this year for 2022/23 as well. Go check it out. Thanks
We are going to be staying at the sea horn inn and suites I noticed that it wasn't on y'all's good list it was rank 5.9 out of 10
Hope it is nice. And we hope you have a great time. Thanks for watching.
Been to the Sea Horn and it wasn't a pleasant experience. This was back in June 2021
The Polynesian is also known for crime
I know. Horrible.
I stayed at the last one and it was so good
Glad you enjoyed it. These were ranked by Booking.com. We actually stayed at one years back, and I don't remember it being so bad. Thanks for watching.
Ocean Crest? Are you serious? Everyone google reviews of this hotel before you stay. Please. Bugs, holes, drugs,mold......
Yes it’s awful
Some were. Maybe they will get it straight before next summer. Thanks for watching.
